He was suposed to do a movie with Cate Blanchett, I don't know if it was this one, but he cancel the proyect. But I'm glad he's working with this two amazing actress
Dream pairing of a lifetime: Tilda, Julianne and Pedro! And can we talk about this...this is how trailers should be - give us a hint, a visual nod, lure us to go to the theater, and not show us the entire movie, like most trailers do.
Wow...Almodovar definetely knows how to create atmosphere...and this trailer is impecable,no dialogue, only feelings and expressions was a great move.😮❤
The color game is on point. The green and red that complement each other on Julianne and the yellow on Tilda which then tries to copy Julianne's style , and the interior decor matching them both. WOW, it's a must watch
Great colors, great music and sometimes great acting. That's as much as you get with Almodóvar this days. The screenplay always disapoints ( last ten movies). I hope he gets this one right. I had enough of weird Tilda
As with every Almodovar film, the set design and costume design are intentionally in sync with the most astonishing pops of color that I've ever experienced from any other film maker.
Sorry, but it would have been nice to hear Marvin (Hume Cronyn) say SOMETHING in "Marvin's Room" (1996). And I wanted to slap some words into Mia Farrow's mouth in :"A Wedding" (1978).
@@fabrislemos Hi! The movie is based in the Sigrid Nunez's novel What are you going through. As she also wrote Always Susan. A memoir of Susan Sontag, maybe the first one is a consequence of the other...
Congrats to Almodovar for winning the Golden Lion!!! I've been watching his films and loving them for so many years and it's absolutely exhilarating that he's finally won an honor proportionate to his genius!!!
I've got goosebumps with only a minute and a half...can see brutal acting in those two... congratulation to everyone who made this posible👏🏻 this is real cinema🏆
Tilda Swinton just NEVER ages! Remarkable bone structure! Magnificent colours! Superb artists! Looking forward to watching but it’s going to be a sad one!
Pedro Almodovar's films are a thorn in our side. And he knows how to get the best out of his actors and actresses. This film will be like many of his films; melodramatic and deep. Quite far from commercial.
I cannot wait for it to come out!! Moore, Swinton, Almodovar?!! Are you kidding me...inject it in my veins!! Also, do I detect a little inspiration from Persona?!
The movie where people can get what they want within their home but as soon as they take outside, it no longer exists? The one where the dumb ***** asks for a baby and it turns out to be Baron Trump? That movie?
Almodóvar is finally taking the leap ! I always find it fascinating whenever renowned directors cross the border and shoot their first english-speaking films. Veeery unpopular opinion but 'My Blueberry Nights' by Wong Kar-wai is such an interesting take on America as a land of artistic inspiration and aesthetic/thematic opportunities... Plus Almodóvar, despite being a controversial character, has contributed a lot to European cinema's influence throughout the world. Can't wait !
@@gio_ser5120 I was talking about the Panama papers thing, which blew up when 'Julieta' was about to be released. Back in France people started to wonder whether his actual relationship with money was aligned with his political views on society. It's been almost 10 years now and it was revealed that the press most likely exaggerated the whole affair. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a hardcore fan of Almodóvar, but it was all the more difficult to defend him and the movie (which is in my - still unpopular - opinion one of his best works and a defining masterpiece overall) at the time. I ended up presenting 'Julieta' at a movie club (coincidentally it was in Monaco, famously known for being a tax haven) and everybody loved it, because his cinema speaks to the very soul, wherever you come from and whatever your social background might be.
I don't know what this movie is about exactly, probably something with a terminally ill patient, but the honesty of the trailer is such that I have to see it: it's his first movie in English! No glamour, no horse shit... It's a movie! In English! I love it already!
Anyone remember that 90s movie where Tilda gets the same lipstick as a colleague she is jealous of? That’s what this reminded me of. Wish I could remember the name of that movie
Wow, two of the most amazing actresses together in a movie by one of the best directors alive. Perfection.
Tilda, Julianne AND Almodóvar? Sign me right the fuck up!
Exactly
Yes, please! 🎉
and John Turturro too, what a cast

Cinematography is beautiful and real. Thank you for using filters or excessive colour grading. I can feel the environment and people.
Feels like the relationship between Susan Sontag and Annie Leibovitz when the former was dying of cancer. Absolutely beautiful.
Wait I've watched an interview of susan now I gotta get more information on both of them

Julianne Moore & Tilda Swinton. Yes, take my money, please! I can't wait to see this.
I have no idea what it's about, but these two legends are in it and I can't wait 🙌
3 legends. The Pedro factor elevates this to top must see film of the year
This is not Tilda's best look (except for the fabulous lipstick), so I'm guessing she's quite ill.

Love how Almodóvar uses color in his films. Volver also used a lot of red.
Almodóvar's use of red in his films is iconic. It's such a powerful visual motif throughout all his work!

Looks like a good classic movie that I will really enjoy. Added to my watchlist
I need to watch more Almodovár films, but this looks peak!
Start from the beginning. They're all special. I have reservations about this one though....
Almodovar… YES!!!!
Now a Golden Lion winner, congratulations.
Some will say he's too much of an aestheticist. Well, I love it!
Mother sentiment 😭😭
Can't wait to cry in theatres
The academy saw the trailer they already nominated them for the Oscar
