      @@rodt1970it’s definitely an easier choice, the S22u was a more unrefined version of the 23u and the 24u is essentially the “final boss” of this platform and series. So essentially, if you love your 22u, then there is a significant high chance you will fall in love with the 24u. Hope that helps!

    The flat screen is actually a reason I would like it. I hate the curved displays on the ultra makes the pen useless as it slides off the side. It looks nice on the normal models, but pointless (in my opinion) on the ultra

    1. Love the flat screen.
    2. If you don't know the real reasons for Samsung "downgrading" the 10x zoom, don't comment on something you really don't know about.
    3. AI is optional. If you don't want to use it, don't use it. It is just an option.
    4. Charging speeds and speed are similar. That's fine. It is still an improvement.
    5. Titanium is not important to me as I have never had any issues with the frame. Always have a case on anyway.
    6. Don't like the price increase but when you spread it out over the last 24 months I owned the phone it isn't bad. Samsung had really good trade in deals anyway.

      Me too thats why i upgraded I hated the curved screen. I can confirm after upgrading to the S24 Ultra and using it for a few months.. the greatness didnt last long.. It has horrible reception with T-MOBILE 5G Go.. sometimes it says I have a full UC 5G signal until I go to use something that requires a strong signal and it drops to no signal.. I have multiple phone calls dropped every day. Also, a bug where I'm prompted with "Process System isn't responding" multiple times a day. Atleast once a day the phone will randomly freeze and reboot out of nowhere. Even if i had just one of these issues.. let alone all of them. its unacceptable on flagship model with a top tier service plan.. I'll be moving to iPhone next time.

    • @daverose5191
      @daverose5191 22 дні тому

      @@TrescoFrescosounds like a wireless service issue (T-Mobile sucks), not a phone issue. Both iPhone and Sansung are great phones. If you don't like options, choose iPhone. If you do choose Samsung., 😂

    • @TrescoFresco
      @TrescoFresco 22 дні тому

      @daverose5191 I'm going to assume you didn't read what i said. I'm having a UI process issue happening with samsungs OS. Thats clearly not a service provider issue.. I'm not having just one issue. Im having multiple issues between T-Mobile bs service.. and samsungs bs software. I shouldn't be having any issues to this extent with a flagship model. Especially after a factory reset. The same bugs persist. My S22 Plus ran flawlessly for 2 yrs.. never had an issue. I upgraded to the S24 Ultra so I never have to worry about these issues. I've always had a Galaxy.. always.. But this S24 Ultra has some serious bugs. and I'd rather just go with an iPhone next time.

    Titanium is OK with me. The reason it didn't reduce the weight like on the I phone is because the I phone went from stainless steel, the s23 is coming from aluminum. The weight of aluminum is comparable to the Titanium . Stainless steel is much heavier.

    • @jspring86
      @jspring86  8 місяців тому +2

      Agree!!!

    • @ukaszRadomski
      @ukaszRadomski 7 місяців тому +2

      Weight of titanium is not comparable to aluminum: aluminum (2712 kg/m³) has a lower density when compared to titanium (4500 kg/m³) which means titanium is roughly x2 heavier. Steel has density of 8000 kg/m³ which means it is roughly x2 heavier than titanium. That's said Aluminum has rougly x2 higher Yield Strangth (800 MPa) than (aerospace) aluminum (400 MPa) which means it is x2 stronger. While only YS of steel is can vary a lot (there are many steels) but if you take 15-5PH (common aerospace steel) YS will be around 1100 MPa so roughly 40% increase in strength.
      So if samsung didn't change much cross section there is no reason for the phone less strong then old aluminum versions.

Most will not pay extra for an AI service that not useful or does live up to the hype 🤔 The battery will be better is just certain apps that use more power and one person who travels in general and the constant switching because of different connections will use more battery. Over the years the backlight really drains the battery and the limited 45 watt charger and Samsungs resistance to a higher charger..Samsung fear is still warranted.I know many have moved to 65 watt or higher. Samsung was in denial at cost them approximately 5.5 Billion just for the recall of the Note 7.Im sure it was higher with everything involved in the repair for a new phone and reputation damage at the time .Maybe they will change???

      They are labeling it as "optical" quality. Should be a big red flag there. Optical is always better. There is some cost savings here, room issues with new sensors, or following Apple's coat tails. Sure it will still be an upgrade in other camera features, and sure digital zoom will better at full zoom. Probably be something Samsung

    • @gao1812
      @gao1812 7 місяців тому +2

      @TheRextc Technically, in this case it is correct to call it optical quality because the 10x zoom on the S23U is only 10MP. The 5x on the S24U is 50MP, meaning that cropping in five times will give you the same quality as a 10mp--actually it's probably even better because the 5x on the S24U is bigger sensor with bigger individual pixels and more light and detail

    I personally believe that the reason Samsung, google, and apple use the lower wattage charging is because of the battery quality they use. The new phones that charge over 100watts have to use new battery technology that gives you 1600 cycles before 20 percent degradation. They use the old batteries that get 20 percent loss in 800 cycles. Making sure you have to buy a new phone sooner than later. Do the research check oppos new battery tech out 1600 cycles at 100 plus watts.

    I dislike curved, ngl I loved it when it first came out but overtime I came to hate it. One reason also stems from the fact there's no b-display/aftermarket replacement for curved displays like this, why do I want one? Simple, if my phone's screen suddenly died, I would need a cheap one so I can actually do a backup. And yes, that has happened. It only happened recently and the cost of spending for a replacement display costs more than my phone, which was the older Note 9. This is an issue because curved displays are harder to manufacture primarily because it's also embedded to the frame to be more rigid, as opposed to older flat lcds back in the day where you can find just a bunch lying around everywhere. That's not to say they don't exist anymore, they do, they just don't for curved displays.

    As for the curve screens, they were the reason why I didn’t stay with the Galaxy S ultras and went back to iPhone, I was not a fan of curve screens mostly because I couldn’t put a tempered glass screen protector. With the S24U, the screen is all flat so tempered glass screen protectors will work and I wouldn’t worry about breaking the edge of the screen and so that’s why I can finally leave iPhones

The color choices offered are sad at best, not to mention they are going backwards as far as the screen display. My S8+ display looks way better than the S24 ultra and that is sad considering how much the ultra costs. What a disappointment Samsung. Also I bought the flip 5 and within two months the screen messes up. I also bought a Samsung watch and the band keeps poping off and that is not acceptable. Definitely not buying any more Samsung mobile devices until they make something decent. And I suggest you guys do the same, we deserve better, don't buy subpar products.

      Either way the biggest downside of curved screens imo is the lights reflecting on the screen(which I don't mind btw) other than that can be fixed by minimising the edge like what they did on S23ultra, which is a great compromising between those who love and dislike it. I think it's stupid to completely remove it since edge screens are literally their signature and identity. Not to mention that they're the ones who started the trend
