Ugh picking a name is so difficult! 😩 I am 20 weeks pregnant and I can find something wrong with every name! (It’s like a horrible skill)
I’ve had Daxton (Dax) at the top of my list for a while but no one else likes it 😔

Had my son last November. We named him Daxton and we love it. We call him Dax and I couldn’t imagine him being named anything else 🥰

A friend of mine in the past her last name was "Bond" and u guessed it the names she loved were Brooke for a girl, Brooke Bonds (brand of teabags in England) and she loved James for a boy - but didn't want James Bond as in 007)
I swear I know someone named John Swan! I think he goes by Johnny Swan and is a local musician.

My favorite from your list was James. To get away from the S ending, the single syllable, and sounding like Jamie, call him Jimmy. It can grow into Jim as he gets older. Also take it from someone who has an uncommon spelling of a fairly common girl's name: do not make variations on common spellings. You'll subject your child to a lifetime of correcting people's spelling of his name. No, it's Jakk with two Ks. Sorry, that's Kohen with a K. It isn't a big deal when ordering at Starbucks but when school transcripts and passports are spelled incorrectly, it takes a lot of work to fix.
Coleen Andera I know right?!! I’m Jami with no e and even when I spell it out for people it gets spelled Jamie ha. So I said I would never change spelling on names but here I am just lovin the k on kohen lol. Maybe it’s because I know I can’t use it with my one sons middle name already Cohen

J Z NO WAY!!! Super rare to hear of people with that spelling! How often do you spell your name out to people when they are writing it and they put an e at the end anyways? hahaha
Jami Swan Beauty literally all the time. I still have family that spell it wrong lol if it’s not something important (like a coffee order or reservation) I don’t care how they spell it. Also people don’t pronounce it “Jamie”, people call me “Jaami” 😐 I get that the most. I’ve yet to find someone my own age that spells it like this I don’t think Jami was even that popular in the 90s.
Nope not a lot of Jamie’s or let alone Jami’s out there our age that’s forsure. I’m also ok with that! Haha.

I understand the name ending in an S is a bit much but other names are cool. Nobody is going to walk around all day calling the kid by his first and surname. You seem like you really don’t like the surname so why don’t you give them your maiden name? I mean it’s 2021 so they don’t have to have your hubby’s name... just a thought. X
Actually when we got married I was happy to change my name because my maiden was my step dads last name and after my mom passed away he didn’t want me to have his last name anymore. So I love that we all have my husbands last name the double s thing is just my weird quirk 😜haha

maddie crosby I love it as a first name!! Maybe that will work better for you. I’m not sure what first names you were considering but you could always just switch it and make it the middle instead.
