Id strongly consider going after Knies and Mintyukov in free agency, trade away Laine + Werenski + Chychrun and you should have enough cap space. Play Knies top line next season as well I think he would produce more than Kurri and in turn Cooley and Vesce would produce even more too. Top 6 forward lines and Top 4 D for next season as follows: Knies - Cooley - Vesce Kurri - Sivan - Noronen Mintyukov - Kurtz Lindstein - Faber
@@brendobaggins I dont agree tbh I find grinders usually ruin my top 6 players, I think John has been VERY lucky with how Kurri has actually developed to be a decent player with Cooley and Vesce but I think Knies would really get that line clicking because Knies simulates kinda like a playmaker too in the game so it definitely wouldn't hurt and may actually help even more. Vesce might be able to get 120 or more points because he would get more assists while still scoring 60-70 goals. Kurri would then also be freed up to help the second line where Sivan may score 40-50 with 2 guys on his wings that can pass.

The second liners are getting better, but the fact that laine still got 40+ on the 3rd line shows just how much of a factor he is in the scoring of the team. Probably to replace guenther and his 5m contract, you can find someone that puts the puck on the net with a ton of shots that can be a 40 goal scorer to keep up the offensive momentum. If you go to the stats central page of the league standings and press R3 you can see opponents coaching staffs overall and scheme, maybe Ottawa just has B- coaches

i would love to see this too but in reality he is the same player as Vesce, and VesC is about to prove better since bear can't get a coach...we win in the long run, it's a shame bear will bust
