Hi guys! I am under a lot of stress due to personal issues which is why I destroy my nails and nail beds. Sorry it looks so janky ❤ hope the demo still helps ❤ Next, the pecan eyeshadow is a little harder to blend and possibly sabotaged the eye look but its honestly a good formula❤
I once approached the WA team about the beading in the butter bronzer, and they sent me a brand new one for free even though mine was a bit old. Their customer support is fantastic.
Excellent video as always! Can we please have more battles like this. Maybe Hourglass, Chantecaille, Charlotte Tilbury, Lisa Eldridge? I mention those particularly because I only use Cruelty free brands.
For me the Smokey eye brick is one of the underrated products from VB. The palette is compact but the amount of product is not bad, 8 grams total, which I think is not bad. I have had the signature palette for almost two years , and after using it, almost everyday, I finally started to see some pan. Great video!
I actually enjoy my signature palette immensely, but... i find it a difficult product to recommend in the sea of makeup right now. At this price point I think the expectations are very high, and people are often (in my comment section) divided. Some want pigmented eyeshadows, and some want soft eyeshadows. Matte lovers or shimmer lovers? Most people tell me they find it a good palette but too expensive for the price and this does swirl around my head. Good, but not the first thing i will recommend from the brand. Thanks for letting me know you love your palette! I enjoy the signature palette a lot!
This video is too good! I know how much time and effort must have gone into this, so thank you for spoiling us with your expert knowledge of these amazing brands! You're definitely my go-to girl when it comes to VB and WA. Gorgeous final look and really helpful breakdown of these beautiful products. 💕
This video was longgggg and took me way to much time to film. But i had fun! Next time i do a battle I'll challange myself to make a shorter video. I think coz i have so many of the products and have such a large collection of both that it is difficult to narrow down my explanations! I am so happy you enjoyed the breakdown. I am sure people make good use of the timestamps coz its the longest video i have on my channel 🤣
I’m new to your channel, but I really think you deserve to be much bigger than you are currently. I am so glad that you did this comparison for us! I have spent soooo much money on items from both of these brands and I wish I could have watched this video before having bought everything! I have almost every single shade of the VB blush sticks and after buying them all, I tried the WA ones and I haven’t touched the VB ones since. Also, I have almost all of the VB eyeliners and lid lusters and I love them so much. Then I tried the WA eye pods because I saw a video of Michelle Wang using them and she really seemed to like them. But I tried them once and now they are gathering dust in my eyeshadow drawer. I definitely would have benefited from seeing this video if I had seen it before spending all that money lol I really hope this video gets a lot of views and attention for your channel because I know that this must’ve taken a lot of effort and it’s really informative. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience regarding these brands. ❤
I am so happy you see the potential in my channel! I am happy i can grow slowly but some videos do take a lot of time to film. The other videos that come to mind is my comparison video of Sonia G brushes and Rephr. Also my lisa eldridge eyeshadow palette video. I have a lot of pride when i get to out out videos that i could make a reality.❤️ thank you for your comment. I hope someone will use this video to save money. I too would have benefited from a video like this 🤣
Thank you for this battle. I love some of my westman atelier products (Mimi, Biscuit and the butter bronzer for summer as well). I placed my first ever order of VBB yesterday, and now feel good about the choices I made thanks to you (velvet, honey and tea rose... Cocoa, BORDEAUX, BRONZE and cinnamon). And... I will watch the end of your video after work, but can't wait for you to kind of validate my posh glosses picks... Suspense is intense
@@sonia.butleraaah it was close. At first, I was going to order Poolside only.... But I saw someone say Aperitivo was close to WA Garçonne in colour, and I love this one. I ended up with Aperitivo, Fizz and... Bikini to have an easy one to pull out with a stronger eye look. I regret Poolside a bit but I try to tell myself three very different ones was good and I have many brown tones in my Fitglow lip serums. Tanline would not look good on me but it is beautiful on your skintone!
Thank you! It was a long one to both film and edit. I have such a large collection of these both that i just wanted to say so much. I am happy it was well received. So fun to do!
It took forever to film but i had so much fun! i hope it will help people decide during the sale ❤️ its great to see these brands go head to head and when i started filming i really did not know which one would win. Theyre both very good but small differences can really be the deciding factor.
Wow! I’m so surprised VB scored higher. Love these thorough videos! I will say the limited edition Eyepod is a different formulation. I quite like it. ❤
When i started i honestly didnt know who would win. Theyre so close is so many categories. But when it came down to it i figured..... omg i actually enjoy this one or that one better. I hear great things about the new pods. I also just saw a new reel by gucci Westman where she teased a new eyeshadow formula. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your reviews are really good! I hope you are doing better with your stress. I used your affiliate link to purchase from Victoria Beckham on a previous video. :)
Thank you so much! People using my affiliates helps out my channel so much! Brand recognition and just being able to review more products. I wouldn't have such a large collection and be able to review as much witbout this support and i am grateful beyond everything! I really try to give back with content thats helpful ❤️
My WA bronzer went off fast. I bought a new one recently and the texture is completely different. The color is perfect for me but it goes bad fast. The VB one is very nice as well and it will last forever. I love both brands but VB seems more consistent quality.
I agree. The WA bronzer and setting powder both have disclaimers attached to them in terms of formulation. It makes me scared to recommend them even though my bronzer still looks and smells fine after a long time. I am aware of the problems people face. VBB seems more consistent indeed. But some WA products are just holy grails like the contour
Thanks for this, what a lot of work to do twice!! I loved it, since these are the only two brands I use. Agree on most points, except: I actually find Pecan the nicest Eyewear to use, and I LOVE!! The Posh lipsticks!! I have used and and repurchased several (Spark and Twist being faves), and I have and use all of them. I use lip pencils no 2,3 and 4 and with these combos I only have to reapply after eating. I find them really moisturising and they are not tinted lip balms, but actual, well pigmented lipsticks. I also use 4 of the glosses regularly; I also mostly use them with the pencils and they are the best glosses ever. I don't like the horribly dry WA lipstick palette, threw the whole thing out because it hardened. and the other, more natural one, only two of the shades worked for me, the two smallest ones, what a waste of money. The glosses/squeaky clean are ok but last for about 2 seconds. No point! Regarding the eyelids, I would repeat purchase Tabac and Bisou if I could get Bisou as a single shadow. I wore only this combo for a year, but who wants to pay 90 euros for one eye pod (I hate the other two that come with Bisou).
Hi! Thank you for this. I like pecan as well but i since its the shade with the most controversy. I like the lip liner more than initially expected. I like the posh glosses more than the WA balms. They work 2 seconds on me as well. I keep everyones comment in mind. I try not to let it affect me but i think its important for my reviews to share the opinions. Not just mine. Thank you for everything
Great video! Your comparisons are spot on. I would love more such battles. I don’t have any VBB (only available online in Canada) but I do have many of the WA items you featured. Of course, I am now regretting not taking advantage of VBB’s Black Friday sale. I thank you for doing this fair and thorough brand battle and I look forward to your next video.
Jocelyn! Yeh we also dont have counters in NL where they sell VBB. This is why its nice to review for people coz i know its helpful for people that are in the same boat. But its always a gamble❤️
Hi Sonia, now that I've owned and used the VBB baby Blade and Posh gloss (I got Ice and Aperitivo), I must say I prefer Westman in both products. Posh gloss is too thick and sticky for me. Unfortunately, Westman Atelier refuses to acknowledge and change its gloss packaging (it's impossible to get the product out), and for that reason, I won't be buying it until that changes. Once again, thank you for the time and effort you put into these reviews. P.S. I still need to decide on which bronzer to get!
Its true posh gloss is thick! But since my lips are dryer the sahara desert i need hydration. The WA sadly doesnt last 20 min on me without my lips drying. And i hear you. Packaging from WA sucks!
This was a fantastic vid. You put a lot of thought into delivering your reviews and I have enjoyed it very much. Love both brands but I think that WA is more overpriced judging on the results between these two. Also, VB colour makeup is superb to WA. I'm wondering who would you compare LE with? Any idea? ☺ This was very helpful and I look forward to more brands battle vids from your channel.
Thank you! I was thinking about losa eldridge and who the brand could battle with for my channel. Also i am secretly waiting for lisa to come out with more complexion products. I thought. Maybe Charlotte Tilbury is an interesting duo since theyre both makeup artist. Charlotte tilbury and rare beauty would also be a great one since both have similar vibes in the products they put out.
If I have to choose one product from VB only it will be the signature palette I have to say - it's such solid, good quality, easy to use and flattering colours
I really like my signature palette as well! This was a hard category for me because i like signature and silk and not so much the other ones. In the sea of palette choices, i find it a difficult palette to recommend or call it a must-have for a larger audience. A very specific customer will love it. I am so happy you love yours and share your feedback cos I take everything i gain in knowledge in my next video. Like if many people told me theyre bronzers went bad, its information I share in a video. I consider price and shimmer quality as well with my palettes. My personal issue is that they're quite fragile. My tweed palette lost its mirror. My tuxedo one has a closing that doesn't work properly. So when it comes to where i think someone should spend their money, I dont feel confident in recommending it to a larger audience. I think if I did a video on the BEST neutral palettes, this one would rank higher! I hope that makes sense. Anyway Signature buddies for life!
Great informative video. Love your work. I have bought a few VB items based on your recommendations (Fizz, cocoa eyeliner, tea rose and the mascara) and they have performed well. Thanks again.
I also was a little surprised but when it came down to it. VBB is often longer wearing and a little more consistent. But the blush and contour cream products from westman are far more superior
Hi! I am planning to do more brush videos in 2024! I still want to do a BK beauty brush video and a favorite brush video. I do have a video on my channnel comparing rephr and sonia G
This was probably one of my most favorite videos to film. The outcome really shocked me coz I thought i loved the brands equally. But it was good to see the differences anyway.
I actually thought the VB contour looked more natural, very Korean beauty like, and the WA looks a little muddy in comparison (only in comparison though, think it would've held up on its own)
The WA is a little more emollient so easier to blend! But honestly both are very close. It was like chosing between 2 of your favorite songs. Neither are bad, Just good fun to pushthe boundaries and make myself choose.
Hi Sonia, what a great review! I have quite a few things from WA since I like the minimalist aesthetic, but I think I'm going to try the Baby Blade from VB thanks to you! I have WA in Bark and it's a little too dark for me. Do you have all the swatches of the Baby blade by any chance? The swatches on the website all look a bit warm.
I sadly only own the colors you see from the video. WA does have the color slate which should be less warm but i have seen swatches as well and it looks very similar. If you are worried I will also recommend looking at my best neutral brown taupe color i own is a pencil by Gucci Beauty. I understand this is not a luxury clean beauty option, but the shade 04 Brun is the best pencil powder option i own. I repurchased it recently.
@@sonia.butler have you heard of Plume brand? I had their Nourish and Define brow gel but then realized I'm not really a gel type of person. Now I'm thinking of maybe trying their brow pencil. Thanks for your response!
@@sonia.butler I just ordered the VB Baby blade in Taupe! Fingers crossed it works for me. Thank you so much for all these great reviews, it helps so much, particularly when we can't test the products in person.
@@anafeller4069 fingers crossed!!!! 🤞 thank you so much for this comment. I think about this all the time when I am reviewing. About not everyone having counters to go to . So I sometimes give a lot of information but I know someone might want to hear it😍
Interesting video, Sonia. Since you mentioned tubing mascaras... are they tear-proof? Between my allergies and the wind, my eyes are always so watery that I decided to only use waterproof mascaras. Would tubing mascaras be a good alternative?
YES! Tubing mascaras are a great easy to remove alternative. Waterproof is just tooo much work for me. Tubing is non smudge since fhe formula hardens. It doenst break down when in contact with oils. It slides off in flakes. Sounds gross but a godsend. Many brands have a tubing mascara. So you could try a drugstore option. I believe milani has one. But if you are a luxury beauty lover. The futura lash mascara from Victoria beckham beauty is my GO TO
This was so awesome. I'm a huge fan and always buy my VBB products thru your channel. I've learned so much about these brands by watching you. I thank you ❤
I am so happy you enjoyed this video! Also thank you for helping me out with affiliates. It honestly helps me review the brand . Especially since my divorce it’s been such a help and I cannot express my gratitude enough. Thank you for all your support ❤️
I was dead set on getting the WA Beauty Butter Bronzer along with the WA powder brush but after rewatching this video, now I'm not so sure. Is the VBB bronzer that much better? I have very dry sensitive, eczema-prone skin and I heard great things about the Beauty Butter Bronzer. Please help me decide!
I have never had any issues with my beauty butter bronzer but in this particular video I felt the need to just give as much information as I could. It weighs on me that not everyone has a good experience with this product. I enjoy the VBB bronzer experience and usage more but I cannot deny how beautiful the WA bronzer is on the skin. The finish is so skin like. Like butter! There is probably a reason you fell in love with it in the first place. I want you to have a product you are absolutely wanting and maybe the beauty butter one has peaked your interest for a reason. I don’t know when the refills come out for the bronzer so you could wait for that. Or you take the plunge. I hear the WA customer service is pretty good with replacements if you purchase from them if yours expires in 3 months or so. So that’s something you can keep in the back of your mind.
@@sonia.butler thanks for your answer. I won't be able to return the WA bronzer because I'm in Croatia and shipping this back would be prohibitively expensive. We are going to visit my in-laws for Christmas and I was going to order some stuff to wait for me when we get there. I had to ship the VB Baby blade to the USA because VB doesn't ship to Croatia. I couldn't believe it. If the VB bronzer is really good I would order it, it will cost me way less than WA, because I was going to get the WA brush as well. I lost out on the discount for the WA this past weekend so now getting the VB bronzer seems even more appealing.
The darkest side pulls somewhat orange but the lighter side is much more flattering. I use the deepest side to darken my bronzer for the summer. The video is quite true to color ❤️ it was a good filming day and its natural lighting only.
Nice to meet you as well! Thanks for reaching out! I hope you enjoy my content some more or just enjoy sticking around for the ride.❤️ feel free to ask any questions! Smaller channels have more time to reply❤️
Have you seen Gucci Westman using the foundation? She says you use it in spots here and there where is needed, I don’t think you’re meant to use it the way you just did.
I have! I really tried with the drops. But i was so frustrated with it. The foundation looked insane on me every single time and every single way i wore it. I decluttered mine in the end. I did 2 drops applicatioh before I decluttered it as per a subscriber request, and it still looked like I needed to cake on powder for days. It would break at the nose area. I just couldn't make it work for my oily zones. The stick foundation is one of my favorites. It's simply a better match for me. I have a very good experience with the drops from Lisa Eldridge! It was what I expected from westman atelier drops. Westman atelier still remains a brand that holds my ❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thanks for letting me know your experience. I'll make sure to mention this when I mention the drops in later videos.
Heel graag gedaan, liefs Annemarie ❤
I haven't pulled the trigger on Westman Atelier yet but this video is really peaking my interest. I'm super selective with luxury CLEAN beauty because I find that cream products tend to expire faster than I can finish them. I purchased the Merit foundation stick and hated it but I've been eyeing the Westman Atelier foundation stick. I love the ease of a foundation stick and the Tom Ford is my favorite. The finish looks nice on you. How do you find the longevity? I'm super oily.
Westman longevity in my experience has surprised me. My foundation is almost finished, and i bought it in 2021. I do think it's about time I get a new one but I am really trying to finish it. It still wears really well. The expiration date is about a year after opening. I would say 2 years for the creams if you aren't as strict like me. I keep my makeup past expiry but i do look and smell products. My creams last about 2 years from the brand. It is a clean beauty problem but depending on the size of your collection it can be doable. The Beauty butter bronzer is the only product i would be cautious of. I get multiple comments saying theirs expires super fast. Mine also is from 2021 and i do not have those issues. So proceed with caution.
Hi guys! I am under a lot of stress due to personal issues which is why I destroy my nails and nail beds. Sorry it looks so janky ❤ hope the demo still helps ❤
Next, the pecan eyeshadow is a little harder to blend and possibly sabotaged the eye look but its honestly a good formula❤

Just found your channel and love it! Thanks for comparing products side by side. Super helpful!
Owhh thank you! I am so happy you enjoyed this video. I loved doing it
Thank you for the wonderfully comprehensive video Sonia! Really enjoyed it. XXX
I am so happy you enjoyed it! It was a fun video to do ❤️
@@sonia.butler you are my VBB guru!
I love your reviews! This one is another amazing one, thank you, it is very helpful ❤x
This was probably one of my most favorite videos to film. The outcome really shocked me coz I thought i loved the brands equally. But it was good to see the differences anyway.
Excellent video!! Thanks!
Thanks! Hopefully it helped with the black friday shopping!
Just subscribed! Love your personality and content!! 💕
Holly! Thank you so much! Happy to connect with you and dive into some of my favorite makeup rabbit holes together.🥰🥰🥰
Such a fun review Sonia! 👏🏼💕
I had such a fun. It was a little insane to edit it but enjoyable and hopefully informative nontheless
Amazing video. My fav brands.
Same! It was also a fun video for me to film. Fun to work out which one is better but sometimes its very difficult
@anafeller4069 no never hear of it. But always interested in diving into a unexplored rabbit hole ❤️
I have very watery eyes and tubing mascar has worked well for me.
The futura lash mascara from Victoria beckham beauty is my GO TO
@@wl2414 thanks, that's good to know!
@@sonia.butler this is great information, thank you very much! I'll definitely give the one from Victoria Beckham a try.
Love your reviews.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was dead set on getting the WA Beauty Butter Bronzer along with the WA powder brush but after rewatching this video, now I'm not so sure.
Thank you for this review!❤️
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job
Thank you! It was a fun video to film ❤️
Does the VB bronzer pull orange? It’s hard to tell. Thank you ❤
The darkest side pulls somewhat orange but the lighter side is much more flattering. I use the deepest side to darken my bronzer for the summer. The video is quite true to color ❤️ it was a good filming day and its natural lighting only.
@@sonia.butler thank you 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌸🌸🌸
Hi, I'm new.
Just found you this 2/7/24. I like your video on luxury cosmetics. I'll stick around for more. Nice to meet you.👋🏼
Nice to meet you as well!
@@sonia.butler I see… maybe due to oily skin you may need to add some much powder! Thank you for sharing this with us! I love learning!
@@MonicaPalomo 100% agree it's my skintype . It's too oily for such a product. The stick foundation is amazing on me
Bedankt
