Daniel and you are quite a comedy team. 'My Kitchen' restaurant shows a true dedication to great service to the customer. Such a beautifully managed place. The shelf displays looked like artwork. I was wondering why you had your head jammed against an aircraft fuselage support the entire flight. lol. Simply gorgeous aero views. And as soon as you said, 'no drama', about the car charging, I busted out laughing. Because I knew if you edited that in the video, the charger, in some way, shat directly on you. Which, of course, it did. Fun video, anyway.

I certainly agree about Brits and Queing for the plane, I think it hails back to the war and food rations, not missing out, All it takes is one worrier and the next one gets up and in line.

There is a point to queuing sometimes, if you have an overhead bag (not under the seat) then they count and can make you put it in the hold, (for free, but it's just a hassle)

On my previous UK visits to London, I took side trips via Aer Lingus between Heathrow to Dublin new terminal 2 back to Heathrow. I found the airfare at that time wasn’t much different than Ryanair. I read traveller reviews which really panned Ryanair
Remember queuing on the tarmac once to board at Verona in the rain. Got soaked. Handed a paper towel by the stewardess. Marvellous.

You know that if everyone waited until the last second to get on the plane, then the plane would probably be delayed 20 to 30 minutes while everyone boarded.
Lee, always great seeing Daniel, you guys are great together. Both really great guys! I wanted to point out that the current average price of petrol per litre in the UK is about £1.47. That means a car that got 35 miles to the gallon would cost £40 pounds or roughly double what it costs you to charge your EV based on what you just paid and the average distance of 250 miles on a full charge. Does that sound right? Of course, if you charged at home, it could even be half that amount meaning an average petrol powered economy car could cost you 4 times or more the amount of your EV. Of course, we know that there are certainly more expensive charge points around. Then again, you have had multiple experiences, like when you recently stayed at that Best Western, where they let you charge your EV to full, completely free of charge. I bet you've never stayed at a hotel where they filled your petrol tank for free.
I agree, it's a pain in the neck when there are so many chargers that don't work but as I have pointed out in the past, there are apps that tell you where the chargers are, whether they are operating, how much they cost and even if they are currently busy. Since you have owned your EV, there has been a noticeable improvement in charger availability. Even with the recent problems you have had, you have to admit that. Also, as you have shown, they have those mega-charging station that are covered and charge rapidly and offer several amenities. I know there are currently only a few but they are expanding rapidly all over the country. Maybe stop saying it's not the future, it seems like a lot of the problems you have are because of the EV you chose. The other issues are improving with each new model of EV. Maybe at this point, a rechargeable hybrid is the best option for you. You would only use battery locally and on long trips, you can use petrol. For how you use your car, I think it would be a great solution for you.

I worked in security for a while (about 15 years ago) and everything does get disposed of, they were always really strict about it. All the liquids that go through airside for the restaurant’s etc were screened separately and have to have paperwork etc.

Once again, the charger let you down. This is well before your epic John o'Groats to Lands End journey when you had charging problems galore. What would people say if petrol pumps wouldn't pump and a error appeared? When does that ever happen anyway?

And I'm still able to drive up to 1200 km after a 5 minutes effort of filling my tank to the full. I may be more conscious about using my heater or aircondition, as it of course also influences my ordinary 25 km/l , as also my use of a remotely controlled "diesel heater" before my start on a snowy or cold day in winter. During winter I'm sometimes even below 20 km /l.

I don't really agree. They place seats in the boarding area so people can be comfortable. If everyone stays seated until their boarding group is called it can be very orderly.
