- This week Plant Lovers, an orchid that is more of a curiosity than a passion - Gomesa radicans! It's described as a miniature orchid; and though that's true of the flowers, I don't think the plant is THAT small!! Gomesa radicans is an easy to grow orchid that I have outside under cover all year that is well able to take my cold winter temperatures - who knew this coastal Brazilian would love Melbourne! And it basically looks after itself! The flowers also have a beautiful light caramel fragrance that's quite delightful and the grassy foliage makes a great contrast to more the more strappy or succulent leaves that many orchids have.
I've made a video about my accidental collection of small to miniature orchids here: • Six miniature or small... - Навчання та стиль
Hi Matthew, thanks for introducing us to this special orchid and providing us with the history.
Thanks for watching!
Very different! Thanks, Matthew.❤🪴🤗👍
Thanks for watching!
Thank you Matthew, it is very interesting to learn about different species orchids on your channel particularly those that are endangered in the wild. I loved the petite flowers on this orchid - very delicate and definitely not "moche".
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely adorable! 🥰 I might just need one in my collection.
Go for it!
Lovely matt, I have two and I love them ,
Excellent! Thanks for watching!
So interesting! I wish I had more success with orchids. Maybe this is the one!
Super easy!
Stopped counting! One I even placed in a big glas vase with pebbles around it to keep the air humid. It was love at first sight, at least for me... the grassy look, the delicate wanna-be bulbs, sigh! Along with Masd. ignea I call them my 'annuals'. Maybe I should also try terracotta pots? But therefore I have to visit a garden center and that always turns out very expensive 😁
Hot (30° C) regards!
Thanks for watching!
Love it!
