How do you get the patch to stick on to the cap before stitching?

Some use nothing, some use double side tape, one person told me they can order labels with adhesive.

@@robincollier2418 thank you! one last question. Where is the thread cut on this thing. I can stitch now but can't get it to cut the thread. I know you aren't support lol but your help is greatly appreciated.
