Tip : using long -wood- (if your worried about moisture) plastic dowels and place them into the barrels to use as an extension to reach the the barrel racks, works great at keeping all rifles in their own lane. 😁😎
I might end up going with this one. I can afford a decent safe but the problem is I live second floor in an apartment. So trying to avoid something heavy til I have a house.
To those that are having trouble with the top shelf... Unlike the small divider shelves that are non directional, the top shelf *IS* directional; so if you arrive at a place where it seems like you need to bend the top shelf by using the partition as a fulcrum point to align the screw holes on both sides *DON'T;* You have it postioned wrong; when postioned correctly the holes do infact line up just fine. *:-)*
Just bought the exact same one for 199. Exactly what I need until I get a true safe with all the protections. One note, pay super close attention to how the shelves are installed, I did it wrong like ten times because I had the wrong orientations for what I needed/wanted. Overall good buy.
I got one of these used and none of the shelves were installed. I know this isn't exactly a tutorial, but it still helped me get it put together! Thanks mate!
I have this same safe. In order to hold up shorter rifles, I had to place the styrofoam that came in the packing under the foam pad. Not a big deal to me, but just throwing that out there. That said, I'll be buying a second one soon, and taking advantage of the fact that the shelving holes go through and line up with both sides and bolting them together. Adding extra weight, and rigidity to what will be the center of the set-up
@northfltactical8044 I actually ended up taking this a step further and cut some shelves to go between the safes and increase storage for thing that are firearms related, but don't need the security. Tools, ears, extra empty mags, etc.
Looks like Mossy Oak is selling these rebranded. It's exactly the same except for the name on the front. Just bought one and think it's pretty decent for 200. I think to solve the AR height issue im going to install one of the shelves under gun compartment side to raise the floor.
I picked that model up from Academy a few months ago and then went to a local gun store in Jacksonville and saw the same model but with an additional side added on to be for the ammo. I wish I had seen that one first. But I still like the cabinet. It filled up fast.
@@jeny9227that’s what I’m trying to figure out before buying. Did Tractor supply and/or Stack-on (Cannon) fix this issue and send you 2 more shelves and foam pads?
Since it only came with extensions so you could only hold 4 scoped rifles and you can not buy new extensions , I did some modifications . I can now fit 12 scoped rifles and shelving . I paid $125 new at sportsmans warehouse .
I have one and just bought a second. I ended up putting the shelves on the left side or it would have been a huge pain to get the screwed to the outside wall, due to the door.
Picking this up today. If I can fit it in my 2013 Honda accord EX Sedan. You think it’ll fit in the back seat (window to window)? It may be too big of a box to fit through trunk hole that leads into the back haha so I’m trying to figure it out especially because they’re giving me a discount at $179
I been looking at the same safe. I wonder if the key holes can be converted to just a handle then attach a lock mechanism for a quick combo pad lock. Good vid
I bought a used gun cabinet like this Today for $30 the guy had no keys so got it home found the Key code now I wait oh 2 keys $20 so total cost was $50 not bad for what it is
Never mind, the manual was quite clear the shelves should be installed before permanent mounting. My bad for not reading the manual before posting....sincere apologies.
Wondering this myself. Seems to be fairly high for 16in barrels. I'm sure its possible to drill your own holes easily enough, if it was absolutely necessary . . . but I wouldn't be keen on drilling holes in a new 200+ dollar cabinet.
Got to keep in mind it’s a cabinet not a safe. It’d take some prying and noise to get it open but not as long as it would take a safe. Doesn’t necessarily feel cheap. I still use it and love it. You can also lag bolt it into the wall in studs and it can’t be moved.
It’d be more trouble taking it all back apart putting it back in the box the right way. Then I’d have to get help to put it back in my car and drive all the way to a store, just for a dent you can’t see 80% of the time..
Ah yes, a fellow distinguished gentleman who carries S&W!
Thanks for the video brother, really helpful to visualize!

I just bought this one and set it up I like on the basement floor as well so it was very easy to get down the stairs because it doesn’t way much

Yes instructions could’ve been written a bit better in my opinion.

Glad I could help brother 👍🏽

Nice advice. Bolting two together is a great idea.

Got one last year from Academy, love it. Door sticks a little but it's not a problem.
Haven’t ran into that problem but yes, I love my cabinet! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Was it Gun Gallery in Jacksonville, Fl? I saw one like that as well but had an additional $100 mark up.
@@northfltactical8044 no it was at, and is still at, Shooters Firearms on University.
You know what thinking about it, it may just be shooters I was thinking about lol. Glad to have someone local watching!
Nice video/review. Tractor Supply has this on sale for $180 right now.
Think I might pick one up.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Go get one man! You won’t be disappointed!
Tractor Supply is now $229 in 07/22
I got mine from tractor supply and one piece of foam and two shelves are missing
@@jeny9227 lol sucks for you

No problem thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

Why didn't they just include a short two gun barrel rest to put in front of the cabinets?
That’s a good idea. Would’ve been smart. There’s a couple things I’m going to modify and post a video on what I’ve done.
in front of the shelves, not cabinet.
Deff a good safe for the money!
It’s worth it for sure. Watch out for the update video! It’ll be here soon!

I think if you have the proper tools that can be done!
And thanks for watching and the comment!
I see you bent the top shelf and caused a kink just like me. Found out I had it upside down and backwards or something like that. Im an idiot.
Mine came like that in shipping unfortunately but it doesn’t bother me at all. Still a great cabinet for the price.

That’s a steal! I tried to find something used but couldn’t find a good deal.
Do you recommend putting the shelves in before or after placing into the covey hole and bolting it down? Which order is preferred?
Never mind, the manual was quite clear the shelves should be installed before permanent mounting. My bad for not reading the manual before posting....sincere apologies.
All good bud
Very happy to own this Catfood can. Good for now right? Wana paddle the Santa Fe?
Why are you watching the video? Thanks for the view and comment I guess lol?
Wonder if I can fit one of these in a car with seats down through the trunk
Got mine in a little fiesta lol
Got mine home in a WRX hatch
Can the barrel rest be installed at any height or just the one place ?

One side can be lower than the other
How has this cabinet been holding up? I might pick one of these up.
Great recently added some things and a couple more here soon so a update video will be coming out!
For some reason, my middle is higher than the top shelf, so it looks bending in the center pushing up.
I got the same cabinet but I had to put it together I have to kick the door in to lock it because it's a little bent
That I would’ve returned for a new one. My shelf I thought whatever I’ll call and have them ship another, but the door I would’ve had to return it.
@@northfltactical8044 did you have to put yours together too
Yes I did

Yes and yes. Indeed it’s more of a cabinet than a safe. I got it to keep my firearms away from children.
DUUUUUUVVVVVVAAAAALLLLLL i checked this out at academy days ago. Didnt fit my camry. Lol gotta borrow a truck to take her home.
DUUUUUUUUVVVAAAAAALLLLL!!!!
lol but yeah man the box is huge lmao. Thanks for commenting man and watching!
Hi this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Where did you order this from I can’t find it anywhere? thanks.
I got mine from academy sports and outdoors. I have a few of their stores local and I picked it up same day.
Gonna show us what upgrades you did?
How wide is it from left to right?
A good 2 ft probably the website should have exact dimensions
Put 11 guns in there and let us know how it works.
I could easily do that if I didn’t set it up with 4 shelves
Why can't you show how the screws and bolts as part of the installation go in properly you cut the footage out
K be up in 5
why do you accept dents and bends from factory we should expect better regardless of price. done letting china off the hook.
It’d be more trouble taking it all back apart putting it back in the box the right way. Then I’d have to get help to put it back in my car and drive all the way to a store, just for a dent you can’t see 80% of the time..
