I need to journal but the issue is the cost of the software to track. It's a catch 22. To journal and analyze costs money, money a starting trader does not have. Maybe a video or process on starting Journaling. I would give anything to be profitable enough to afford your software.

I have issues following my stop loss, it seems every time I follow my stop it reverses to the upside again and when I ignore my stop loss it just keeps going down. It keeps messing with my head. But this year trying I’m trying to take every trade as its own and forget about past trades which is really putting my discipline to the test.

I've been in the trading world for about two years, and yes... I've lost money. But I've learned so much about myself during my losses. Definitely the best teacher. Now I've kept it very very simple. Swing trading. MACD, volume and EMA. Always look at last few day, weeks and months for lows and highs.
My strategy is buy low always in red , and DCA if it goes lower, and sell in the green.
I have my top ten that I trade only. With 2 potentials that I watch for weeks before I do any rotation from my top ten.
Then patience. I could go into 2-3 trades and wait for even 2 weeks before profits. And that's OK.
So from this video I say, Get to know yourself, set your goals realistically. Watch the charts and day trading for weeks and months to understand what youre looking at, place practice trades .And take your time.

In my opinion, making a smart investment is not only a technique for earning passive income, but also a profitable way of saving for future expenses. People who fail to make the proper judgments early in life often come to regret it later in life. Nonetheless, investing alone can be difficult and risky. As a result, I recommend obtaining an expert’s assistance. The challenge is not just watching videos and reading investing books; it is about implementing information effectively.

overtrading which is caused by focusing on target instead of focusing on continuous improvement{which i"m learning from you recently}. You see my attention has been on strategies all these years. i now know that the strategy is not the major problem. Trading psychology{which involves personality improvement and personal discipline not only in the market is absolutely important}, and then managing the lot size.
Even with an average strategy I think when the above is put to their place someone can still break even.
But, please i personally need a complete tutorial on option sir.

I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

Spot on Umar! Loving the content. Two things I battled with early on was as you said, not cutting the trade at my mental stop and letting hopium take over leading to more of a loss majority of the time and the one that always bit me was going back in for another trade which almost always resulted in giving the days profit right back. Learning to take my profit and walk away for the day was key.

My biggest handicap so far is not accepting and respecting my SL. I let losses run, in the hope that eventually it will turn around and go favorably in my direction. To compound the issue, I mainly trade options with 0DTE, and theta is never my friend in such scenarios.

This is a great video. I fall into that trader that doesn't know how to lose & lack of risk management. I made 2k in a week. All green that week into next Monday. Then, came that Tuesday I got 1 bad trade. Could of cut my loss, but I hoped it would fix itself. Only to give all my gains for the entire last week back. Mortifying. 😷 You're right about working on a system to prevent that. I'm thinking cutting trades that show immediate signs of weakness on the set up & not looking back.

The last part helped with the loss on my last trade, stupidly held way longer than I normally do thinking it would eventually change 😅. Realised that it wasn't changing any time soon and balied before it went down more my stop loss was further than what I got out at so watching this video made it feel like a win as I didn't lose what I was already prepared too and learnt a valuable lesson 😂, I'm using a small/tiny account and mentally adding the zeros on to get an idea of what it would be with a larger account is definitely making me realise what I'm on with losing.

I feel the conclusion is do best on what we can control which is processed based approaach and don set expectations on what can't control outcome based approach. We will become a successful trader very soon. Same applies to our life which we do best what we can control, and the outcome will slowly match to the process we do in the long run. So stop put expectation on outcome but focus on process.

so one of my biggest problem is, 1, identifying entry opportunities, 2, impulsive executions, 3, not allowing the market to hit my TP, then from what you have said in this i obviously have the lets make money mindset which leads to me over exposing my account most of the time. but i am working on all of these bad habits now and making gradual progress
