I know one thing, in 86, G Rap, Rakim, and KRS changed the game lyrically period, G Rap body of work is extensive!
1986 my favorite year in Hip Hop💪💪💪
Kool g rap still going strong
People slept on Ace's A Breukelen Story produced by Marco Polo. The joints Breukelen with Smiff & Wesson and Get Shot are straight up classics. That video for Breukelen is probably the best tribute to Brooklyn video ever!
Can yall please get Kool G Rap on your show 👑👑🗽🗽💯💯
He doesn’t seem like the podcast type
The whole album Sittin' On Chrome was iconic. One of the few albums of that time you could press play and listen to the whole ish. THAT B-Side joint though...Great show Lord J salute Masta Ace and Digga Delicious. P.E.ACE!
Shoot that was 95 a lot of classics dropped in that era. Infamous, Ace, Ciban Linx an d Liquid Swords etc., all front 2 back plays!!!!! Incredible year!
SAMPLING TOOK THAT OLD SCHOOL TO VINYL... Game changing!
Respect to Masta Ace on and on... late summer '86 1st I heard It's A Demo I definitely got it...still bump and I still have the 12 inch with the the black and purple Cold Chillin' label with I'm Fly on the flip side.
It's a demo was ill ran to 12inch records when I was 17 now 51. You buggin Ace but your a General still. Appreciate you brother🔥🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤
Lord Jamar can put anybody to sleep with his words and dozey sounding voice
Terror was my favorite song on INC ride
“Guerrilla” filming, refers to low-budget and shoot and move filming tactics, with no permits or formal setups.
It refers to unconventional warfare and comes from the Spanish word for war: guerra.
You wildin Jamar rundmc has some of the best records ever even when rap was still fairly new and right now rundmc jams hit hard today
That song was big down here in Louisiana. We played it in the same mixes with bounce music.
I seen Ace in 94 out here in LA, at Exposition Park on his Brooklyn ish. Lol
ACE is the Truth Legend!
Shout out to Original Concept: Knowledge Me, Can You Feel It? Pump That Bass!
Kool G rap start from Street of NY for me . Then 92 blew my mind anx 95 nailed it forever!
Not now , all the time . Great artist are great all the time. ACE 95 WAS GENIUS, 2002 Hip Hop Album great , 2003 just delicious, EMP 2008? GENIUS too, Marco Polo stuff? Fuckin good too
I felt the same way about early hip-hop records. When you used to listening to the live jams on tape the records sounded corny
It's okay Ace...we can forgive you for not knowing what a dope song was back then. Let's hear some of your early rhymes so we can see how much we like those.
original concept was one off the most sleep on group on def jam !!!! saadly the never do a nother real album !!!
This is the Mandela effect. I was on a timeline wherer Master Ace died a few years back.
That bass was from the South Miami bass
No the Miami Bass was from Dr. Dre production
A Yo Ace looks like Rakim. Peace Master Ace. FlyTy QGTM
Kool G Rap 🎤🐐
I liked Jeep Ass N---a better than Born to Roll
***💯💪💯 ALWAYs***
On _Its a Demo_ , G-Rap was biting LL Cool J's rhyme style from _Rock The Bells_ . Nobody ever mentions that though.
Damn near everybody had that same cadence during that period. It wasn't exclusive to L
They never had the same style
@@BoldenFMA Incorrect. Slick Rick, LL Cool J, KRS, Rakim, Kane, Melle Mell, Grandmaster Caz, Ice Cube, etc., all had very different styles. Kool G-Rap had his own style too, but he definitely bit LL's flow, delivery, cadence, and style on that particular track.
