parcells was a great coach..he turned around 4 teams...most of his teams were not the most talented team in the league..other than 1986..
he got the most out of his team always..that made him a great coach

I remember Madden mentioning on the broadcast that the Giants could do a play action late in the game against the Niners because they had everybody up in the box playing the run. Never heard Parcells talk about that until this video. Good stuff. Also the plane ride videos are classic. Rare to see that stuff especially with no cell phones back then to record it

Im not even a Giants fan. But the two best football games Ive seen in my 45 year life was this teams NFCCG & Super Bowl. I remember hating those San Francisco and Buffalo teams with a passion. Bill Belichicks defensive gameplan for that Super Bowl against that Buffalo offense, was single best strategic coaching performance I have seen from any coach in any sport. I do think that anyone who remembers watching that crazy Buffalo no huddle offense, understands why I believe this.

I loved this team. My Dad and I used to have season tickets back in the day. We followed fellow fans to where the players would walk in to the stadium. I gotta tell ya.. 99% of the team were so cool to fans. They'd stop for a sec and sign autographs except for one player. Gary Reasons. He would either ignore you or tell you "get lost kid" to younger fans. Thanks for that fake punt #55 but you're attitude was garabe to young fans who just wanted autograph.

Unsung hero was the special teams ace the giants had (name slips my mind at the moment) on the last punt the giants had or kickoff in the 4th quarter the guy tackled the returner and injured himself in the process but instead of staying down on the field and waiting for a trainer he got up and hopped off. Had he stayed down the giants would have had to use a crucial time out

The Giants defeated a great team that played two back-to-back 19 games seasons followed by and 18 game season. In two meetings the Giants couldn't manage a touchdown. Two flukey plays keyed their victory. Their defensive AND offensive gameplay against the Bills? Genius.
