Impeller say hi to the thermostat
The water pickup is at the bottom of the nose cone instead of being above it. You can even see the stream. It stays consistent..... I certainly wouldn't run with the prop halfway out of the water all the time though.
How is the engine picking up water?
This boat has a Bob's Combo-Cone installed there are 5 pickups under the front of the nose cone and four above. You can actually see water shooting out the top holes under pressure. Bob's nosecones work awesome for us at Micro Draft Boats.

How shallow can this run? I am trying to determine if a jack plate with a lower water pickup or a jet outboard would be better for running the river. Mostly sandy bottom
depends on draft of the boat, which lower unit and the skeg length. Give us a call and happy to discuss options
@@BobsMachine I certainly will! I am looking at buying a Ranger RB 200 and your jack plate lower water pickup combo looks great for that. I am hoping to run some shallow sandy Wi rivers in the boat but unfortunately the ranger does not have a tunnel. Your setup looks like it might be the ticket! Believe me it’s slipping he can’t run full throttle it will over rev.

Where is the pick ups on this lower unit?? How is it getting water? I don’t see the screens. It looks like only the skeg is in the water.
It has low water pickups actually sucks water from under the front of the nose cone

Thank Micro Draft is running the SWW 13P 4-blade ported prop from PowerTech Prop. Insane grip.

There is a low water pickup Bob's Machine nose cone, so the water inlets are still pickup up water and sending to the water pump.
Question........ If the foot is so high.... How the motor cooling!?.... If anyone has brain.. Then answer that.
its a low water pickup nose cone kit.... You must be new to the boating scene (from somebody with a brain)

@@jimmiller4951 the product proven yes, but how people use it and burn an engine no. I woul not ride my engine this high out the water. Its a very thin line from getting good water and burning impeler and frying the engine.
@@2fast4you25 < first thing is I am not arguing with you this is a conversation. Have you looked at the cone Bob's offers ?. Second you do not leave the jack up for a long time and you do monitor your engine heat of course I could be wrong however it appears to be comparable to a jet drive. Perhaps someone from Bob's Machine Shop will pipe in and clear this up.
Yeah, I don't get it, so I was more interested in watching that outboard take a shit. So I am leaving unsatisfied.
