This video was so helpful. I assist with the care of my grandmother who cannot walk at all right now. It was good learning how to properly lift her in and out of the wheelchair.
The video is important in that you have to do it live showing the actual complete transfer in the video, from beginning to end. You're going to make someone collapse to the floor this way.
I agree. and I often will have one foot in between their feet because a lot of them who need assistance with transfer often get their feet tangled which puts more pressure on your back.
I don't k why all these videos always do a demonstration on cooperative patients, they are sometimes afraid especially if they cannot move. No one person should lift a patient , what about dead weight and resistance? What about those that don't understand at all.
I thought she seemed so caring, and honestly, the nurses at my mom's rehab facility did it the same way.Since so many started that some of these methods could cause injury, would someone please state a better way of doing these things? I'm about to care for my mom, and I'm scared. No one has given me ANY instruction!
changing diapers is an easier task compared to transferring a body from bed to wheelchair... there are so many precautions and watching videos really wont help that much...
You will find a way that’s comfortable for both of you. It takes time. Take a few tips from video information..and you will feel great about being a blessing to your mom
Very informative video. Thank you for showing us step by step how to transfer a patient into a wheelchair and back to the bed. Have a great day.👍

Love your parent while still around i was sub and hit the Bell 👍👍👍👍
I especially like the way they suggested placing the wheelchair footrests elsewhere, so that it doesn't become a tripping hazard.

Step #4 is a big big No. Your recepient is a much bigger than you, you gonna hurt your back big deal. It's a wrong way to do that!

You only have 1 back and you have to take care of it ...30 years in the care sector and a M & H instructor never used this lift once
And Holy cow, you Never lift someone by the arm pits!! Too easy to tear delicate skin and again... she can hurt her back. Use the gait belt propperly
How to deal with a patiend who ia almost overweight thrice as compared to you ??
Where can I get the whole video
How to buy
I saw several things wrong with this video!! She will hurt her back, for sure and the hand placement on the gait belt is upside down!!
De cay u r right

You are sure to end your career if you go around lifting person heavier than yourself
