Hi Jorge, yes I definitely think recessions impact the projects architects have. However, I don’t believe there will ever be no projects. There will always be something. It might mean you need to pivot slightly or shift your focus, but you can always continue moving the needle forward. For example, when the pandemic hit and my projects were all put on hold, I decided to focus on marketing and mentorship. This was the best thing I could have done. Instead of freaking out, I figured out how to push forward so when the projects came back (they’ll always come back) I was prepared and a step ahead.
Do you think that long periods of economic recession could cause architects to have no projects to focus on as a job?
