    Architecture has always been my passion. I pursue other things and never went for my passion. Im realizing now that ive always tried to create designs and make things from various materials even as a child. Im looking at this video because i am 41 and considering architecture school. Ive pingponged this idea all of my adult life. Now my 10 year old on his own has discovered the love if architecture. I couldn't be prouder! It just confirms that this us something ived oassed on to him which is also giving me my wings ro go for it myself!

    Sometimes exams only give you at least 1 to 2 lives. Fail one, and your entire academic career is doomed, and you're booted out of the campus or forced to start another college degree from the start.

Now here we are, I past all 6 tests and now I just need a few more hours of AXP. If I can do it, so can you. Put your head down, get to work. Everyone would do it if it were easy. THANK YOU

    Thank you, I found this information extremely enlightening. Yes, I got through college with almost straight A’s, but now hearing this video my experience was all about memorization of my notes and text books. 7 years later now, in the classes that weren’t in my major, I remember nothing. I was basically memorizing for that grade instead of a deeper understanding of the material. So thank you, keep it up 👍

    I'm sitting for A/L's today.I know I cant do best but I hope I will take simple pass in it.I'm in deep mental anxiety ,why because my parents told me I was a failure. They are correct I didn't work properly for the exam,I was wrong.But nothing to do.just hopeless.

    Being a horrible person doesn't make you a better person

    • @Raquel-c5m
      @Raquel-c5m Місяць тому

      It’s not about being a horrible person -it’s about being recognized as a professional in a male-dominated field. As women architects, we constantly hear comments like, “Are you the assistant?” or “Are you the interior designer?” These assumptions stem from biases that diminish our roles and expertise. Saying she’s a horrible person for pointing this out to a man just proves the point. It highlights the double standard women face: when we stand up for ourselves or challenge these stereotypes, we’re labeled as rude or difficult, while the bias that led to the comment in the first place is ignored.

    As a chemical engineer I sympathize with your experience. Architecture is the one field that invests more time per week into their education while chemical is thought of as the most difficult, sometimes with electrical close or equivalent depending on schools and sources. We have to be chemists, mechanics, electricians, programmers, biologists and do finance, environmental analysis. thermodynamics, design reactors, distillation columns, compressors/heat exchangers and many other things. Don't worry though, you'll enter a few specific niches after you graduate. I got a job in plant information systems on the software end. I wanted to do hands on synthetic chemistry or design reactors, but I followed the money path opened up by my hacking and coding experience outside of school. I'm sure you'll find your place :)
