Your Arabic language is so good ❤️I love when foreigners try to speak the language of the the country they are visiting or living in even if it’s a little bit but it surely take the pressure off most people they don’t have to speak another language they are not good at and be embarrassed
Yes I think it is the decent and respectful thing to do when traveling to another country, like you said, even just a few words. And especially if someone is living in a country, then you really should learn the language.
Because I can't speak Arabic well enough to interview people! 😭 If I could speak Arabic well, I would have been interviewing people 3 years ago when I first came here. I want to learn Arabic for many reasons, but one reason is definitely so I can interview people in the future! Good question 👍
@@noorkoko1019 that's not how it works 😅 Speaking to people on the street (which I already do in my daily life), yes, that helps you improve. But it's quite useless trying to interview people if you don't know 2/3 of the words you wanna say. That's like me telling you to go interview someone in Spanish or Dutch or whatever language you don't know. It won't work, and it's just embarrassing for me and kind of disrespectful to the person I am supposed to be "interviewing."
@@noorkoko1019 I need a reason to interview someone, not just randomly go around asking kids for an interview. The people I tend to want to interview are older, shop owners, etc. Anyways, thanks, I have plenty of video ideas and am learning Arabic. Eventually I will be able to do something like this.
Hi Gigi. Don't they realise that they're getting free publicity?! I went to so many of the restaurants and take aways that you showed in Cairo. Kept telling my husband, Gigi said this place is good, Gigi recommended this place! We had a great time and home to return again later this year. X
😂 That's a very funny comment actually. Some viewers might not know the hit "Walk like an egyptian" by the Bananarama band from the eighties? There should be a 2025 remake of this song. One could select some sequences of GG zigzagging between cars and make a music video for the remake.
Welcome back! Just so you know tho, while AlFalah has pretty ok kebda, it's just the "touristy" spot. It's definitely not the best Kebda out there. I personally prefer el Heresh which has maybe 2 or 3 branches in aAexandria and there's also less accessible spots which serve marginally better Kebda. Anyhow Alfalah is still Iconic especially it being at Mahatet-Elraml which is like, the core cultural center of Alexandria. Enjoy the trip! also good work with your Arabic it's getting much better!
Thanks man! I never would have even known about this place if it hadn't been for many, many Alexandrians commenting and telling me it is the best and I should go. Of course, everyone has their own opinion, and I am sure the places you mentioned are great as well. As a foreigner who doesn't live in Alexandria, I just take my advice from the locals and go with it 😁 I thought it was very delicious! And thanks, I am trying to improve my Arabic, step by step 🙏

I wish I could be there with you, but I'll ride a car, not a bike, I get scared riding motorcycle.. I love your vlogs, good luck, beautiful 😊❤❤ Oh, I heard Falafel there is very delicious. Try it while you are in Alexandria. Let's know..
What a ridiculous statement. Just because one man was sort of rude, you are saying MOST Egyptians are bad people and not friendly?! Why are you even watching videos about Egypt if that is your opinion? It seems you don't like it. And I totally disagree with you. I've been living here in Egypt for 3 years and I love it, and I think the opposite. Most people are very friendly and kind, it's a big reason why I love living here.
Kebda is something I always wanted to try in Egypt but never did. I am nervous because I don't like the liver in America....but it could be how it is cooked??
Possibly, maybe even probably. I'm not sure because I never tried liver in the U.S. But give it a shot here! The worst that could happen is you just don't like it 😅 And it honestly depends on the place, quality, etc. There are some kebda places I have been to where I don't really care for it, and others I love it. The worker thought that you were asking him to go inside to film that's why he said forbidden, as you saw the space is so tight and risky with the hot oil, language barrier can mislead to the wrong judgment. They were just doing their jobs and following instructions

when you see an ambulance slowing down and bunch of people walking behind, that means it's "ganazah" a person who just died with his/her beloved ones accompanying them to their grave..
@Gventures you're welcome! Also that kebda is called Alexandrian kebda. The one originally cooked in cairo would be different to this one. The Alexandrian kebda has garlic and pepper in it, the other one in cairo doesn't contain garlic but only fried like chicken with breading.

@@Gventures because in Alexandria we don't like to add Tahini to kebda but Limon and tomatoes are fine. @@ahmadkhair7938 Brains? Ah nah, I'm not a big fan, I tried that 😆Anyways, I like Alexandrian style food, I usually order things Eskendrony if I can in Cairo
Don’t listen to the nonsense about forbidden filming .Do as you please, you’re a UA-camr who brings them business. Thank you for the tour & entertainment,
While I appreciate your support, I really can't and shouldn't "do as I please." It may bring the restaurant more exposure and be good for business, but that is not really for me to decide. I respect people, and if they do not wish to be filmed, I try to honor that.
He refused to be photographed because many people try to imitate him because he is really different. I am from Cairo and when I travel to Alexandria I have to go to him, so don’t get angry with him.
I didn't get angry, I complied and stopped filming. As I already said in the video, I just didn't like the way the younger man spoke to me (or the dirty looks he was giving me, which you can't see in the video because I didn't film him). I explain this all in the video, I don't really love explaining it again in the comments.
@Gventures He is wrong. He has no right to deal with you in this manner. He should be polite. Most of his customers are from outside Alexandria, and he should appreciate that. I did not understand that. Apart from that, a wonderful video, as usual from you. 💐💐
We alexandirans have the best food in Egypt we invented falafel not Tamayaaaa we have different hawawshiii is the best …the best sea food …the best kebdaaah ever we got fired chicken also
Sorry for the stupid behaviour of that resturant! I can't with these ppl ... the thing is, if u are a tourist; u should be treated more friendly, not to stand in the line like that!
What?? No, no, I shouldn't get special treatment, and I don't want that. The waiter actually tried to get me to cut the line and go to the front, but I refused and waited in line with the other ladies. The guys didn't want me filming and I thought the younger man was a little rude about it, but hey, it's their choice. It's still a good restaurant and I highly recommend it to those who haven't been.
At Falah, you sit and ask the waiter for your sandwiches or dish and relax till you have your order. If you are going to have your order to go, you stand in line.
@@Gventures okay but while you standing an outside table was available and you could have simply moved to it and asked the water to collect your food. Anyway there is another public seafood place in Alex I really would like to watch your experience there.

Yes, they cook it of course in cairo because the Alexandrian kebda is more delicious but that doesn't cancel out the fact it's Alexandrian hahaha, the original cairo kebda you can eat at a restaurant like "kebda w mokh el sharkawi" in Cairo.
do like to go out with Alexandrian Bikers one day? you are welcome
Thank you for the invite 🙏 But I'm more of a solo rider, to be honest. Just what I prefer
IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT HELMET
THANKS I MAKE MY OWN CHOICES

Sorry for the stupid behaviour of that resturant! I can't with these ppl ... the thing is, if u are a tourist; u should be treated more friendly, not to stand in the line like that!
What?? No, no, I shouldn't get special treatment, and I don't want that. The waiter actually tried to get me to cut the line and go to the front, but I refused and waited in line with the other ladies. The guys didn't want me filming and I thought the younger man was a little rude about it, but hey, it's their choice. It's still a good restaurant and I highly recommend it to those who haven't been.
دي ناس نصابه لحوم مجمده واحتمال منتهيه الصلاحيه
🥱
i will never eat in this kind of so call restaurant's zero health hazard
Okay? I don't care what you do or do not do 🤣
Your driving style is becoming too Egyptian! Don't drive like that back home
🤣 No, I don't plan on ever living in the U.S. again anyway, so I don't have to worry about that.
At Falah, you sit and ask the waiter for your sandwiches or dish and relax till you have your order. If you are going to have your order to go, you stand in line.
@@khidrie1 Yeah, I got it to go because there were no tables available outside and I wanted to sit outside (but I do say that in the video)
@@Gventures okay but while you standing an outside table was available and you could have simply moved to it and asked the water to collect your food. Anyway there is another public seafood place in Alex I really would like to watch your experience there.
@@khidrie1 No mate, there wasn't. Anyways, who cares, this video is over, I can't rewind time. And another person from Alexandria commented saying the staff there ask for tips anyways, so it was better that I sat at the cafe.
Come to Mansoura Giselle 😌
I definitely will some time. I want to make a road trip through the Nile Delta
