The Nord 2 5G is definitely a flagship killer and it does come with an impressive set of features especially the Dimensity 1200 chipset with the 65W fast charging

Nord 2 Camera Samples look better than 9 Pro. Maybe need little bit of tweaking on some HDR shots.
More details too actually.
It's using same main camera sensor, as 9 Pro uses on it's ultrawide camera, so in a way it's a flagship camera sensor as well. And it's using different isp, since it has MediaTek chip, instead of Snapdragon.
A good improvement in almost all areas (CPU, GPU, Cameras, Vibration, Audio).
The display is more or less the same (very good)
Another great video, Tom! I had to pop in and say I'll never understand you Brits constantly complaining about the weather and not doing anything about it. I understand that your parents aren't used to heatwaves but by this point you should be because they are not going away so you should just get an air con. It's a total lifesaver. We constantly get 40+ temperatures during the summer (if only we weren't landlocked...) and even though my parents grew up thinking 30 degrees was something unheard of, we all have them now and couldn't imagine our lives without them.

That's some very good specs at a very good price. If the camera turns out to be good and the software updates are frequent and stable, this is going to be a best seller for OnePlus.
one question : was the camera test done with the "AI" option or with the option disabled?

The colors on the original Nord and the 9 pro are so similar. Why did OnePlus waste millions of dollars with hasselblad, I will never know.
still using nord 2 almost a year and still superb also with the android 12 update
Impressed with OnePlus - beautiful design and powerful features especially the customized Mediatek D1200 chipset.
I actually prefer the nord 2's camera to that of OP9 pro...the colors are a bit more realistic and true to life.

I remember owning a 3T, which was the fastest phone I'd ever used and I loved the "mute switch."
Kind of like having an iPhone, but with a decent Android long press option keyboard. Still not available on iOS.
But, I found it too big, at the time, but this looks really tasty.
Pity they're no longer doing that funky OEM case!
Oh! I sat and slow watched this until I did hear 2 Mp mono B/W, is that something you can use or is it just for the camera (AI) to get reference for the dynamic range or contrast?
Back in the day, I owned a Jiayu G3S phone from China. It was one of the first China phones you could get (if I'm not mistaken) and pre Xiaomi. It ran on a mediatek chip just like this Nord does. However, the GPS on Mediatek chips was insanely bad. Can you tell us anything about that? How does it track your movement, your car etc? Does it ever go bonkers and just follows the satelite that it's picking up a signal from rather than sticking to your car?
Its a super fantastic review video. Wl buy probably 6GB version after watching this. I m still using OnePlus 3T. No issues in 4yrs. Nice location in the review pictures.

This is the first ColorOS based, OxygenOS skinned OnePlus phone for the western market.
I wanted to buy this just for OxygenOS but after seeing its ColorOS skinned..I dont wanna buy it anymore. It just takes the fun out of the phone.
@@devil_killa It is not colorOS skinned. It looks exactly like OxygenOS, but the settings menu layout and camera app are the two major things from ColorOS. No bloatware/Ads at all
You should check ColorOs because its already implemented in this version of OxygenOs ... Now the camera app is the same as Oppo's and the settings UI as well.

Can you make a real-world usage comparison between Nord 2 and A52 5G? Especially the cameras, because they have a similar price range?
And also because most people are ready to pay for software that Oneplus provides, but they call Samsung overpriced even when they have excellent software support for the A-series.
I'm not taking any sides here, I'm just looking for a phone that's worth the money I pay and is also good for productivity.

Its my 4th time watching this video, and ain't for the review anymore... I just can't get over ''It seems like the OnePlus 9 and the Nord had a baby...'' Even a tech guy like me have his limits, and you've crossed them all.
I got the OnePlus Nord last year and it's probably the last OP phone I'll ever buy. Software updates made the phone slower and the battery life got significantly worse; with so many devices they have to support, I doubt they'll become better at optimising the software.

@TwinTurbo Ray It seems theres a bit of confusion on your end. The phones you're refering to are the stupid highend expensive 7 pro and 7T pro. Im talking about the 7T, 7T launched at 600$ and does not come with a popup cam, and was regarded as the best value phone at the time

Got my nord 2 recently. Really impressed with it but I've since seen there's cases of battery exploding! All 3 were in India and one or more may be fake. Is this device safe to use? Possibly a faulty batch? I've got the UK version. Is that likely to be different?

I made it one of my son's problem to put the separately purchased gorilla glass on. I'm glad the same son could spare an aux chord for my earphones because I hadn't thought of buying wireless earphones when I ordered the phone.
The short charging time is a big plus. My husband won't consider buying the same phone because wireless charging isn't an option.
Having never owned any of the top brands or a flag ship phone, I can't compare and right now I'm glad I can't, because I can't afford better.
still using oneplus6. will it be great to switch to nord2? oneplus9 are crazy expensive. been loyal to snapdragon as well.

Interesting camera comparison. I can see they are taking a hint of Apple’s color science with more warm color in the Nord 2.

IMO I don’t see the point of upgrading a midrange phone twice in two years vs just buying a flagship to begin with, where all the new features originated from (and you still have resale value left over after 2 years)
@@User-cb4jm yeah I didn't say I'm upgrading a mid range phone twice in two years though if that is what you thought. Imma upgrade in a couple years likely to a slightly more expensive phone around £500-£600 but there's no need to upgrade often or get flagships (at least not for me)
I have a phone from 6 years ago (iPhone 7+) and its still basically the same as current phones (same camera and preformance)... Dont get fooled by the ads telling u how much better the new phones are, if u arent a mobile gamer theres no point in upgrading ur phone unless theres something seriously wrong with it ... Smartphones have reached their final form a couple of years ago

We're not buying a mid-range or budget phone without a headphone jack. Companies need to get the f*** with it and understand this.
they're selling TWS as well, so this is the strategy by them to encourage people to do this stupid thing.. if I were a company that wants to make as many income as possible, I'd do the same thing as well..
it's sad to see them dropping this feature, but we need to accept the fact that they care about money, not consumers..

Usually he has to return them to the supplier. They are review samples, he doesn't get to keep them.
