It's amazing some of the shots Tex lines up in all kinds of shooters/sims, while at the same time having tactical blind-spots you could pilot an Atlas through
I remember hearing that the song(not a goat rendition sadly) had a version of the chorus where it went "Gory gory what a helluva way to die, with a rifle up the ass and a bullet in the eye. Gory Gory what a helluva way to die, when your balls hang lowr than your paratrooper boots."
That ending rendition of Blood on the Risers was great. Brought back some memories of my Grandfather, 307th Engineer Battalion 618th Reg, 82nd Airborne. One of the toughest bastards I ever knew and I miss talking with him. He ain’t gonna jump no more!!
The music choices, goddamn. That was classic. Hearing Ain't No Thing start up instantly splashed a grin across my face. Props to whoever did the editing this time, I was laughing just as much from what was happening as from the edits and little additional noises. All the little fact snippets were things I didn't know, and were interesting, too.
The Ares convention limited/banned CBRN (Chemical, Biological Radiological and Nuclear) weapons, attacks on civilian targets unless there was military buildup in the area, orbital bombardment, and dictated the fair treatment of PWs. So more or less what the Geneva and Hague conventions did in the 19 & 20 centuries, just adding space weapons
Oh yeah. I wonder, have they commented on the infamous "The Mg42's bark is worse than its bite" instructional reel? There's also a pretty crazy one about a japanese solider is captured by 2 US soldiers and then starts explaining how a full platoon of US soldiers 'committed suicide' by fucking up on the battlefield, I'd love to hear Tex' and the Deputy's input on that one.
Tex, you should have a look at Zombie Army Trilogy (it's usually dirt cheap) as it's what happened when Rebellion stopped even pretending to be serious. 4 player Sniper Elite alike (at times) but against Germanic undead. Utterly hilarious :)
I saw Downfall when it was first released in an old cinema in London that still did intermissions and served beer. One of my favorite moviegoing experiences ever.
And so it begins, another annual Game for us to love and then binge after 10 years Also I remember vaguely an article saying they found the gold (or some of it)
Well, I'm no expert in international law, but I think the only thing you can't do with a corpse is be "disrespectful," so if you want to take one home as friend, you probably can; that is, unless you're so lame that being your friend would be considered an insult...
"Best War movie ever?" I gotta go with T-34. I mean I love the classics, Tora tora tora, The Green Beret, The Dirty Dozen, Even Fury. But T-34(Russian movie about a Russian Tank crew breaking out of a pow camp) was Epic.
Okay, I'm going to clarify this point. It is illegal to take pictures with show trophies of or depict dead bodies as a trophy of war. However, there is nothing that says you can't just take them so long as you don't take pictures with them or turn them into trophies. You have in fact found a hole in the Geneva convention.
A community I'm part of still plays Sniper Elite 3 deathmatches on occasion. Partly because that's the entry in the series that probably is the most friendly to custom pick-up matches, but mostly because Sniper Elite is the kind of shooter that you can play against other people while drinking without it significantly degrading your performance in the match.
Hey Tex, you'll be pleased to know we were pumping the HBS and MW2 OSTs over the hijacked sound system of our local game shop whilst FULL of WH40K games going on around our humble little tabletop BT game. They may not have noticed. We did not get thrown out. Will try harder next time.
War Movies.... Kelly's Heroes.... Nah! 1. Das Boot (the 6 hour cut) 2. Steiner (You know it as "the iron cross) 3. Enemy Below 4. Operation Petticoat And yes. In that particular order.
I've not seen any of V2 in ages. It looks only vaguely more jank than 3, which i ran through not too long ago. Have a big soft spot for Sniper elite, its just generally solid co-op fun.
Good call changing out to the MP40, that would work out way better behind the lines. Much easier ammo procurement off all the dead Krauts. Not dissing the Thompson, just saying...
loved this episode tex and dep absolutely fantastic keep em coming as long as your enjoying yourselves !.....such good memories playing the original sniper elite would actually love to see you playing the original much love guys
If the game think of its marine shrapnel shooter if I recall that a game that maybe dep talking about me and my father use to play that game alot back in the day.
Shit like Mittlewert is why i don't take most online writing advice seriously anymore. It's got government confirmation from 10 countries at this point, but oh no, the factually confirmed facility is still unrealistic because it's not boring enough.
God, imagine being some dingleberry games journalist lambasting a game for being too fantastical only to then be told that what was in game was based on a real thing that actually happened...and it's not even the strangest story from WW2.
Concerning "accuracy" ... *if that is meant to be Berlin "in the last days of the war":* - the ARCHITECTURE IS WRONG ... (and I have worked with someone who had "historic architecture of Berlin" as their main focus for a few decades) - the SOLDIERS ARE WRONG ... because there would be mostly "old men and teenagers" during the last few months of the war, because all regular soldiers were assigned to army units that were still trying to fight "somewhere", but all the "digging in and defensive fighting" was boys and old men ... REALLY old men - none of the buildings should have any roofs ... because the Allies had been bombing - including fire bombing - the city for months / years by then (there are aerial pictures/films of the city where you can look down into every house ...
Okay this maybe a dumb question and i may be blind as fuck. But does Tex have a public discord server and if so where the fuck is the link?!! Again maybe stupid, maybe blind but I cant fucking find anything for the life of me.
It's amazing some of the shots Tex lines up in all kinds of shooters/sims, while at the same time having tactical blind-spots you could pilot an Atlas through
Tunnel vision is a hell of a drug
An Atlas? Hell you could walk an Urbanmech right on by with time to spare.
@@mrbigglezworth42 you could have a fucking Superheavy relay race going on over there, nothing but Poseidons and Ares’s, the three-legged ones 😂
Listening to Tex excitedly deep dive into things he knows and loves is one of life's true joys.
It’s still a stealth mission if there’s no one left alive to tell about it.
Steiner scout lance 101
No witnesses and no survivors mean basically the same thing
No one can notice if there's no one left to notice
I wish they would score that way
Right?
Sniper elite should have a longbow hidden weapon. give 'em the Jack Churchill treatment.
Man Goats rendition of blood on the risers is not something I knew I needed until now.

Watching Tex and Deputy shoot Nazis is surprisingly wholesome.
Also those little carricatures of Tex and Deputy are magnificent.
“Oh no… did we identify a problem in the Geneva convention?”
I do that whenever I play MW5 with mods 😂
That's the ares conventions at that point lol.
@@duncankelcey9281 as far as I’m aware the Ares Conventions could be summed up in two words: NO NUKES. That leaves me plenty of leeway

Kelly's Heroes, a great WWII movie, and the best heist movie ever made.
"Did we identify a problem with the Geneva Convention?" This is the top quality BPL content I sub for.
Love Ballistics. Fascinating subject. Things go up, things come down.
And so it begins, another annual Game for us to love and then binge after 10 years

Love to see you two watching more old equipment videos like you did before.

I'm so glad to see Deputy back. :D
Tex is a great clown to listen to but Deputy makes this an entire circus. I love it.
Merkers Salt Mine and Schloss Neuwschwanstein: that grammers' darling was literally stacked to the rafters with stolen artwork.

The Weaver scope for the M1903 is 2.5x, that could be their excuse there, 30-06 can knock from long distance lol that scope must be for city fighting.

They're basically just throwing the cartridges at the enemy.
