  • For those of you looking for another smudging option, here is a video about Copal resin. I brought some back from my trip to Tulum Mexico and wanted to share what I've learned.
    Copal brings a different energy to the space than Sage. I encourage you to give a try!
    I've included a few ways to burn it without using charcoal.

    Thank you for this video. Other ones I saw showed people putting the copal right into the newly-lit coal. Yours was the first/only video I saw showing to let the coal get ashy and THEN add the incense. It was a 100% different experience! It burned much better, longer, and cleaner. Thank you thank you for putting this video out!

    I'm a crystal healer. I burn it whilst I incorporate long distance remote healing for others. It protects me and my space from lower vibrational spirit forces, but mainly it energizes the space and creates a high spiritual conductivity that helps me connect with the vibration of the person that I am sending to. Good video. Thanks for posting

    Copal, one of my favorites.
    I'm definitely trying the vegetable oil
    I normally used the charcoal but it got a little smoky indoors set off one of my smoke detectors, so I sit outside on my porch at night and use it

    I have the Copal Blanco incense sticks from Apuyantra... they produce a lot of smoke, which I like and which is good in my large, airy and high-ceilinged Rancho and does not overwhelm; I also feel 'touched' by the healing and energising as the smoke spirit dances gently and hypnotically. I find it's aroma not unlike Frankincense ~ I was looking for Nag Champa recently but could only find Copal.... Spirit/ Universe guidance as I am soon to join two plant ceremonies just up the coast and in the forest from where I live. Bendiciones ~ Namaste ~ In Lakesh Ala Kin

    Hello, I liked your video. I've been wondering about using oil with herbs or resins in a wax warmer. Thanks for the info. I personally use copal a lot. However, I haven't been able to find the resin locally so I use the incense. It does have a beautiful aroma and I do immediately notice a shift in energy and vibration and just even feel like my space is brighter after burning the copal.

    Thank you for your video. I have some copal and I found your video helpful. However, I have a question and a comment. Did you mean the tree is from the bursera family instead of the buresa famliy? The photo you used is of the Tree of Heaven which is incredibly invasive. Thanks again.

    What's the best way to melt the copal? I want to place an object inside like amber fossils. Would the oil burner method be hot enough?

    Thank you. Can you give a brief summary of the odor. I am familiar with Frankincense and Sweet Myrrh powder and Hoojari but not Copal so maybe a comparison between them?. Thankyou and blessings

      I would say it's more in line with myrrh.... sweet, deep and woody

    What does it smell like? I tried smudging my place and even though my apartment felt better and more relaxed afterwards, I got a headache from the smell. Strong floral/earthy scents unfortunately do not agree with me.

    • @_AuraShift_
      @_AuraShift_  7 років тому +2

      +SoftNSweetG what did you smudge with? Did you air out your apartment? Windows open or closed?
      I wouldn't call it floral... more herby.

      +Toronto_NDN Great question! I hadn't thought about where I would get more, once i run out of my Tulum stash. In a perfect world, I'd just go back!!! But I did some looking and found quite a few options on Etsy. Take a look at this one PachaMamaCafe (copy n paste):

    Does copal smell similar to Frankincense?

  • @WeartheGoodSocks
    @WeartheGoodSocks 6 років тому

    I think I drowned the coal in copal because it got sticky and wet and killed the heat. Now I can't remove it from the bowl because it has all hardened into one clump. I'll put it over my stove to burn it down and try again.

    • @_AuraShift_
      @_AuraShift_  6 років тому

      +SnoozieQZ sorry I missed this comment! I have totally done the same thing many times lol. It just takes a little practice to see how much copal to use at a time. Once it cools down and hardens you kind of have to scrape it off and start over. Don't give up and next time use a tiny pinch of Copal and slowly add more. Good luck and thanks so much for watching!
