I don't need 1000km range for long drives. All I want is a 200km range car with fast charging adapter, better suspensions and obviously a little bigger than this at a cost of less than 8lakhs on road. Tesla can't do it. Only Indian companies can do it and they must do it right now before the Chinese take over the Indian EV market.
Good review! We've been driving an e2o for about 3 years now. We do feel the finer points like handling, suspension, infotainment could be way much better. We're a little bit disappointed to see that this is not addressed even in the top variant of the e2o plus. However the main pinch points have definately been taken care of. Namely 4 doors, better boot space, and fast charge. In that order, IMHO. :-) Thanks for a great review and videos!
I love how you showed the people what the e2o's actual aim is in such an interesting way!! Most people just say how can you live with 140km range (like they're going to drive 140km everyday!!).. It's a perfect second car for any house for daily commute, and I can bet most owners would use it everyday and still charge it 2 or 3 times a week (which is obviously easier than going to fuel stations and filling your car up with dead dinosaurs.. God that's so dangerous, lol)
Saw review in Asianet channel. No sound. Gearless, as easy driving as normal car. Can charge with 3-point normal house plug for 9 hours charging. Claims 140 km range with normal charging. Not much mainteinence costs, less tax... Looks like a normal car. What else normal Indian avg house hold wants!!!!!!!!!
A fellow EV owner, a medical doctor came up with an interesting observation. Basically just like Gordon Moore, he noticed a trend in EV range increase... It's basically 20 km per new model release. We call it Dr. Ajeenkya's Law. at this rate we'll need 9 more releases to cross 300 km. :-D ( ( 300 - 140 ) / 20 = 8) ;-)
Mahindra must provide free charging in cities like Delhi, Mumbai for beginning just like Tesla. There is so much potential but Mahindra is not taking it seriously which Tork bike is doing in a stunning manner.
Ayush Arora I think you are not aware, but there are free charging locations in Delhi and Mumbai and other major cities. Only problem is that it's not there in tier 2 and 3 cities
not taking it seriously? damn bro! They are! can't you see? how would you feel when you make a car and the people you wanna sell it to, don't buy it? They need feedback and resources to provide in return. It is us who has to break the notions and invest in a thing like this.
Karan Kumar People in India are not environment conscious as Japan or the UK or other European countries. Look at China. There government is supporting great subsidy and the electric vehicles sales are booming (around 200%) this year. So like Mahindra says.. It should be both Government and People supporting them to manufacture more cars and thus have more subsidy and making cars cheaper. (e.g. 3-4 lakhs - after subsidy). It is possible. But our government is not doing it ,sadly.
+Lang Chauvin Thanks for the wonderful feedback! Your appreciation is like music to our ears. We just got re-energised to provide an even better experience to you. Stay tuned to CarDekho for more such content.

With the current infrastructure and charging ecosystem EV's can be considered as a 2nd car only and will be mostly driven alone to office. It would have made more sense to make a spacious 2 seater with all sort of create comforts.
Mahendra is trying to introduce eco freandly car in market for common work for middle class family. But its not fit for middle class. It's run only 120 km approx so no one can plan for long trip. Why mahendra is not giving inbuilt solar panel charging option in this segment. Indian climates most of time solar energy available.
That's because back then, people had a mind block that electric cars cannot perform well and this was one perception that changed when Elon Musk came up with Tesla.
The way forward....! It's disappointing to see that this eco-friendly car also attracts all the VAT and road taxes when on the contrary it should attract subsidies instead of taxes.
+harish parimi We would suggest you get in touch with the authorised dealership as they will be the better person to assist you in this concern. Click on the link to find out your nearest dealership: bit.ly/2LGg47n
Why can't they think of a way to replace spent batteries with a charged one, takes only 5 min or less for full charge. There can be replacement centres just like petrol pump stations where they charge those spent batteries.
Is there any news about charging point infrastructure in India? Will there be a standard port for all EVs? Hence allowing all EVs to charge from the same network. Who do you think should be setting up such infrastructure? Also, will smart grid technology combined with all the distrubuted batteries in all these cars and even quick chargers help stabilize our grid and aid in transition to a cleaner grid (since the production of power from renewable sources is not on demand and batteries can provide a necessary buffer)?
They just took over Reva years back. Mahindra needs to put real money into r&d. The e2o will never be car a common man will buy. It's time for actual innovation.
Mahindra should cooperative housing societies and private bungalows and clubhouses for charging stations. Charging stations can be enabled by the app and paid through the app or by cash or card. Money can go to society, (society maintenance and site fee). Charging stations can be powered by Solar or by the grid from the electric company.
Good job by mahindra but still a lot is required to attract large masses towards it. The concept is good but it's design is not appealing hope they make it more handsome and yet affordable.
Indian bike an car manufacturers have to change their thinking a bit with evs. Every other ev bike or car comes out looks like a model from 90s not desirable
The e vehicles are not viable to have at present juncture ,government should first bring economic viable technology for batteries before introducing e vehicles
This car can be compared to an entry level hatch back car like alto k10 Price of Alto is 4 lacks . Millege 20-24kmpl . Now come to the plastic car e20 . Top end model cost you more than 10 lacks rupee . Single charge it can go up to 140 km Running cost may be low to electric car but it is way to expensive . It is six lacks rupees higher than the petrol car . When calculating the long run petrol car is less expensive. The battery of electronic cars are much expensive they only give warranty for three years if anything happen to the car beyond the warranty period for example the battery ran out completely ,then you have to spend more than three lacks rupee for buying a new battery So the cost of ownership of a standard hatchback electric car is average 14 lacks for that you can own a decent SUV like Tata Nexon or Ford Ecospot . On the long run cost of ownership of electic cars is expensive. There should be two things for the success of Electronic cars. 01. The price of electronic car should not go more than 50K than its counterparts ie petrol cars. 2} Fast charging stations . Fast charging stations are needed in every 50 km across the nation. For establishing a fast charging station huge amount of investment needed. These two can't be done. The electric cars are not the future . It's the Hydrogen fuel cell powered cars
Wtf!!! Such a irritating music background!!!! What are u showing us? A car review of a Bollywood masala movie man? Grow up! Please keep less background music and more of the review!! Disliked the video only for this reason. 😒
i dont understand what shit failure model which cost around 7.50 laksh in the market approximately does not have complete to even breath which age group 17 century model vehicle
Mahindra, the lone warrior in the Indian EV market, trying hard to bring up more eco friendly cars. Hope they keep up the effort. LOVE YOU M&M.....☺️

Raphae Halim hey much we have ti pay for single charge

Dead dinosaurs, ha ha, true.
The range should be more than 250 km per charge and charging time too be reduced to 2 hours, then only any ev can sustain in India.
This guy is a freaking giant....6ft5...😲

Ok but are they free just like Tesla?
Yes! They are free for e2o car owners to charge.
They are not superchargers. But if the car has quick charger, then it can get fast charge.
not taking it seriously? damn bro! They are! can't you see? how would you feel when you make a car and the people you wanna sell it to, don't buy it? They need feedback and resources to provide in return. It is us who has to break the notions and invest in a thing like this.

Nice and honest review big guy, thanks for sharing. 👍
+Lang Chauvin Thanks for the wonderful feedback! Your appreciation is like music to our ears. We just got re-energised to provide an even better experience to you. Stay tuned to CarDekho for more such content.
Dear sir which battry used in that car
i hope mahindra should work heavily on starting atleast 1 charging stations per city....then i won't mind considering to buy it.coz it will save alot
awesome review...I would buy one..if I can..
We hope that you do (Y) all the best :)
Presentation is very very nice the background sound is inspiring... Like the car
Thank you buddy :)
nice,, bangladesh me kitna rate pellez
100kms is way enough for me. Running cost is cheap too. I like that.
The E2o is the awoussome👌👑💯💯
Good attempt by mahindra hope it we become better in coming days to replace the conventional fuel vehicles. Good luck
Does this car comes with Power Steering.?? Plz reply..
+Debajyoti Mahata Yes, it is equipped with power steering.
Great review. I just want to know one thing. How many units does it consume for a single charge.?
More competition is needed.... it'd need atleast 200km range and be able to charge from 10-90% in 45mins
Any idea about the running costs? Units per full charge & annual maintenance costs?
which car is featured at 0.40 seconds (Rust colour)...????
+Dilraj Bara It is Mahindra NuvoSport. Click on the link to know more: bit.ly/2z2tW5g
You should have an average size person for the review rather than saying everytime ..
Is there any government subsidy available in purchasing electric car ?

Body made of fibre or metal ?
Can charge solar
With the current infrastructure and charging ecosystem EV's can be considered as a 2nd car only and will be mostly driven alone to office. It would have made more sense to make a spacious 2 seater with all sort of create comforts.
You can charge this vehicle like a mobile phone that is the whole night. And use it for the whole day.
Mahendra is trying to introduce eco freandly car in market for common work for middle class family. But its not fit for middle class. It's run only 120 km approx so no one can plan for long trip. VERY SIMPLE CAR & THE CAR LOOKS ATTRACTIVE
Hopefully Mahindra's mass strategy works.
Unlike Tesla's which was a attractor for high end EVs in US.
That's because back then, people had a mind block that electric cars cannot perform well and this was one perception that changed when Elon Musk came up with Tesla.
A very nice looking car indeed. It would be popular in many cities in Latin America.
Good effort nice car
Government ko tax kam krna chahiye electric vehicle pe.
So that indian compny grow kr sake.
The way forward....! It's disappointing to see that this eco-friendly car also attracts all the VAT and road taxes when on the contrary it should attract subsidies instead of taxes.
Can you explain about the cost for a full charge
+harish parimi We would suggest you get in touch with the authorised dealership as they will be the better person to assist you in this concern. Click on the link to find out your nearest dealership: bit.ly/2LGg47n
7.5 units.
Just 150 ₹
Where to charge these cars?? In india
You can charge it at any 15 AMP socket.
And in many shopping malls and such (in Bangalore at least), there are dedicated parking spaces for electric cars with free charging options.
trippinghard r u sure he is giving free charging to cars
+CarDekho channel ka naam hindi hai toh hindi me hi bola karo bhai
Everything is ok but the size of the car and price is not reasonable. Even for this price safety should be there and power steering also.
Why can't they think of a way to replace spent batteries with a charged one, takes only 5 min or less for full charge. There can be replacement centres just like petrol pump stations where they charge those spent batteries.
Awesome outer look bt inner place not comfortable for all nice car I love Mahendra...
I checked test drive of mahindra e20 p4 model nice pickup, nice design. Batteries rplcement is expensive.
what is the resale value for this car ?
+john88755 The re-sale value depends on a way a car is driven and maintained.

Hi can anyone say whats the top speed the car can go?
+joel victor The car has a top speed of 81 kmph. Click on the link to check its specs. bit.ly/2lRdkKe
joel victor top speed is 81
4 door hatchback... First time I've ever heard of one of them!
The review is good, but how do you re-charge it?
You can charge it at any 15 AMP point.
Excellent!
They just took over Reva years back.

Excellent car.
Indian bike an car manufacturers have to change their thinking a bit with evs. Every other ev bike or car comes out looks like a model from 90s not desirable
This would be great for other asian countries.
The e vehicles are not viable to have at present juncture ,government should first bring economic viable technology for batteries before introducing e vehicles
The only demerit of this vehicle.... The price
E2O+ NEEDS MORE MARKETING

I want Tesla to invade Indian market.
this car for avg common family and tesla basic model cost over or near 30 lacs
Rahul Jha overall 35-40 lakh INR
E stands for electric and environmental
I'm sure the design could have been better
Good job mahindra atleast a ev car that doesn't cost 1.03 carore rupees like tesla
it is more costly than regular car and maintaince also costly and limitation of drive
electric are failures in india.....in future too..nothing to beat and give asmooth ride like it gives in petrol n diesel fuels....!!!!!!!!!!!!
All india is use only electric car
Wtf!!! Such a irritating music background!!!! What are u showing us? A car review of a Bollywood masala movie man? Grow up! Please keep less background music and more of the review!! Disliked the video only for this reason. 😒

@@cardekho you should show the quietness of an electric car rather than the loud background music.
Mahindra could be more brave in design
P8 PRICE NOW IS ABOVE 10 Lac that too much
what a lousy review it is ? No info on how to charge, where to charge, how long to charge?
what is this? a car for ants?
weast of money.. price is tooo high in two years batry kuppaaaa.... still we remember Reva car which is atterly failed...so dnt buy...
If i'm not mistaken, Reva had lead acid batteries while the e2o has modern lithium ion batteries.
Jose right. Most uneducated do not know lithium price
Price of battery is too high as 3-3.5lakh
Its really small and does'nt look that great.
Stupid ye electric car k jese soch land rover k jese nhi
Omg😂😂😂
Sab ke sab angrej bhare pade h
