My Grannie came from Shotts - her maiden name was Dillet - i think there may be some Dillets still there - she lived in Dykehead . I remember my mum used to lay flowers on her grannies grave at Shotts Kirk and also on one for someone called Sonny Dillet who i think was a cousin
@jscotty232 Unfortunately the video was probably a copy of a copy of a copy before I got my hands on it, so it's pretty bad quality and looks older than it likely is. If you look at 4:34 you can see the Pat Boone album 'Tenderly' which came out in 1959.
I don't remember the waterwheel down Rosehall Rd - was that down the Tank Brae near the bridge?

My brothers & I were born down Rosehall Rd at the waterwheel this looks earlier than the 50's
