What I especially enjoyed about this mini series is that you banned the weapons you normally go for, it's pretty refreshing to see different weapons being used.
Would love to see this on a slightly larger level. Like a 9 episode series on a 3 by 3 grid, 16 episode on a 4 by 4, etc. Either that, or regions.
Kins sat on 79 agility is everything I love about these two haha
Really enjoyed this series. A couple of suggestions for future episodes like this:
It would be cool to have one final episode after you’ve went to each “quadrant” where you could each choose one quadrant to visit for the last episode. This would even out the advantages of getting one location before another, such as having gear for barrows, etc. and give one more chance for upgrades you may have missed out on, while still not being guaranteed.
It would also be cool to allow farming patches with longer progression times per episode like this. You could just have to wait the amount of time subtracted from the actual timer as opposed to in game time to avoid the concern of logging out to have it grow quicker. It could provide new metas and switch it up a bit.
I'd love to see a Deadman pvp challenge where you guys play dead man and at the end of a set length of time fight on your mains with the gear you acquired on deadman

Fun series but from the start I knew this would be the outcome. When you guys introduced the grids, Link was obviously given the advantage with having barrows in the 3rd episode so its actually available. Also the "reward" for winning the progression episodes barely ever mattered. I had hope as a team Rargh but unfortunately this outcome was quite obvious.

the final fight being only 1 that matters has always annoyed me, makes all the other fights kinda pointless. The reward for each win in this should have been 30 mins at any boss, with a bonus of 30 extra minutes if you win the 1st 3
Its easy to say that after the fact, but getting tank helmet AND tank legs was the perfect outcome. Barrows is 1/16 to get one random item, which varies from pretty much useless to great. Rargh was able to get a pretty good setup very early, meanwhile link wouldve ended with the same setup, if the barrows rng wasnt through the roof.
In the end, its OSRS it comes down to the best RNG, like every then we fight series.
@nabilfares1 as stated in my original comment, this was a concern I had initially when seeing the grid layout and the plan for the episodes.
Rargh having nothing equivalent to 4 hours of free time to do barrows is what this is about. and I must reiterate, I enjoyed the series and am not complaining. I am simply stating my opinion on the design.
At this point, progressions are hard to design without overlap from previous challenges and I am in no way upset. Sure, Link could have gotten unlucky and not gotten them, but where could Rargh have been given anything close outside of d legs from revs? It is not feasible to compare GWD uniques with barrows.
I hope to see more series' like this in the future! it brought out more creativity with locked weapons.
This was amazing to watch as Team Link. The struggle all series. The huge upgrades on fight 3 only to get smashed. And then this absolute beauty of a finale. It's why I will always watch this content from you guys.

Yet again Rargh blew his load one episode too early. What's the point of taking Link off guard in a meaningless fight right before the only fight that actually matters? He does it every time and it always backfires. It's hard being Team Rargh sometimes.
Ya kind of true. He did make link waste 2 slots, so that helped a little, but not enough.
@@lotoex And like 2 hours getting astral runes and what not, but its not like Link needed time. Barrows sorted him out already.
Well he gave himself like a 5% chance to get a Sara sword, which is basically instant win xD
Was a bit nervous for Link when he alched his rune platebody seeing as Rargh was going pure range, luckily it didn't end up mattering! That was a great mini series guys, really enjoyed it :)
I gotta be honest, mostly I'm team Rargh, but the strat in this episode Link, wow. Just wow. You positively amazed me!

This series was so good, I can’t believe Rargh didn’t end up taking the W, but when I seen the gear set ups I knew Link had it. Good show guys
Dungeons only spin a wheel maybe 3 times 1 hour in each Dungeon then you fight, great series lads 👍
These should be weighted wins.
For example: on future 4 episode series episode 1 has the lowest weight gradually increasing to episode 4.
Episode 1 win + episode 4 win should equal an episode 2 & 3 win. I.e. episode one gives you 1 point, episode 2 gives you 2 points, episode 3 gives you 3 points, episode 4 gives you 4 points.
SPOILER ALERT:
In the case of this series Rargh would have 6 points and link would have had 4 points making Rargh the winner.
Another example would be if someone won episode 1 and 3 they would have 4 points, and the other would have 6 points.
Just a thought!
I think the series should continue, start the grids over in the gear obtained from the previous runs and keep going!

Not sure how it is currently but I'd love to see a clause where if you get an item that is unusable but the precursor to a unique weapon (e.g. a hilt, hydra's claw, ...) you should get that unique weapon (godsword, dhl). If that's not how it works currently it might cause some new unique strategies for the episodes. :) Sweet mini-series guys!

7/10; where I enjoy the thought of this series, two rotations were needed to make the final fair overall. The barrows grid was too hard for whoever went there first. Barrows likely should of been ban as well as it is used all the time too.

Really enjoyed this series, an idea for another maybe would be having 3 or 5 areas you guys try and get gear in and fight each episode for an advantage later on either boss kills money or something and after all 5 do a final episode where you do the 3 or 5 fights but you choose one of your previous 3 or 5 areas gear to use but can only use once. I think it would make for interesting match between you 2 because of the many attack styles and setups you could make

this was a super fun series, thanks guys! i dont know if there'd realistically be any way to force a hybrid fight when it's so often down to brute DPS, but I always find the weird fights the most enjoyable; keep on trucking, and damn you guthans 😤😤😤
i feel like for the finale fights they should allow overheads. both had plenty of super restores and multiple styles of combat ready to go to hybrid by fight number 4. Especially if they knew it was going to be hybrid at the end going into it to plan for.

Gz to both teams! There was a lot of planning involved given the restrictions (both items and map) which made for interesting progression. I liked the shorter 4 episode series a lot, easy to stay invested. And, as a #TeamLink, that one felt good. I feel like Rargh has done a lot of winning lately so this victory was sweet. Best of luck on the next one!
awesome series, but i always think what would have happened in a fight if the guy who was unlucky had got the item... it could be a nice little bonus episode to see what would be the outcome if the luck went both ways.
Good series, 7/10 for sure maybe more, the ability to do more bossing would push it up for me. Maybe have it like 6 hours per episode with 4 episodes? It would give a little more time to shoot for big ticket items. Either way quite enjoyable to watch

GZ link on the underdog victory but as a team rargher bit salty Link didnt pay to swap his house each quanrant. Definitely would have wasted some of that time spent at kurasks and played into Rarghs method choices when debating hosue tele use.... Ty both for the content!
Love this series!!! I have an idea but i don't remember did you had or not, but the idea is to have same 4 parts series, where you put I don't know 2-4 hours per episode were you chose your fighting style (range, melee, mage) it's all depends on your choice and it may be different from other opponent, but after you use one of fighting styles for next 2 episodes you cannot choose same, so if in first you chose melee for next you can use range or magic, and last 4 episode will be last fight you have like 2 hours to upgrade gear you collected before in first 3 episodes and have last fight with all 3 gear sets/ styles in your belongings and must use all of them. (It would be nice if you would do not meta weapons, it gives more ideas for different builds) Ps. Srr for my English not native language ^^
7/10 i like the fresh progression series better. I think it would be more fun if you create something like chapter fights. 4 episodes per chapter. 4 chapters and lastly a final. You can record 4 episodes before editing. This way, you have the ability to have secret strats in between chapters. In the current format, there are rarely pro strats, or banked items you may not instantly have a use for but (secretly) keep for coming fights. Might be nice if you can surprise each other DURING a fight. I like the Ironman series because it guarantees a way of transparency in drops and xp gains. Would be so much fun to see a no restricted ironman chapter serie. What do you think😊?

Try doing that again but this time you start at the southern end of the Kharidian desert and you are not allowed to walk south. Every square you walk south costs you 1 piece of food for the fight.

1. Grab mould from prior grid so he could make glory
2. Bring only 1 super restore
3. Bring 2nd recoil
4. Not bring any karambwans

Link knows how to bring a "just in case" ranged switch. Only 2 inventory spaces! Still salty over Rargh's Granite Shield in their tileman UIM finale.
Gonna be honest, at first I was thinking, "kind of cheap that Link can do the minigame thing and get the final fight gear so quick" but going back, it took about an hour which means it would have been avout the same amount of time that it should have taken Rargh, considering you dont need all 50 veng stacks.
Yeah, luckily he doesn't have much soul wars experience because it's stupid easy to get max zeal each game. He could have gotten more than enough in one game. Lol
Spoiler - I thought that Link was gonna dominate but the fact it was that close is wilddd he got the sword with 11 minutes left of a 16 hour progression liike that is insaneeee and it was that close!! If only Rargh was able to get anything this episode D:
One thing I always want to see is longer times to collect items, like 6-8 hours or more. I know the videos would take longer to make, but the possibilities for good gear would make the final fights much better!
The next challange should have more gear switches i dunno how you do it like a mandatory timer for a certain combat style or something or only have a max of like 14 foods so you have lots of "free" spaces for switches

I was thinking where is the last part and then it was on my home page and saw it was released 17 minutes ago.
7/10. I feel like the rewards for the first three episodes were a little lackluster. Like instead of 5 boss fights, for the first thirty minutes you can go into the chunk next to yours.
Can y'all do a none pvp mini series? Start on lvl 3 Ironman and do Skilling only. Each fight of the episode would be a fight of the bank. Who can skill more efficiently. Total lvl as bank value at the end of the series wins. Could also do regions like this series.
wow...these fights are not for rargh , you say going tank against tank you will lose and you do exactly that .
Personally I think you guys should factor the final fight at a 50%-75% value over all and then factor the prior fights as the remaining % as there has now been so many series where 1 person wins the prelims and loses the final fight which to me seems stupid or do a best of 3 for the final fight and allow pre determined gear setups for all 3 fights
The final fights in the 3 prior episodes seemed rather pointless based on Thier reward in my opinion as a benefit of 5 boss kills is kinda crappy tbh
