- The Morkie is a smart and adaptable little pooch, the result of mating a Maltese with a Yorkshire Terrier or Yorkie. Forever happy, these loyal lap dogs are perfect for an individual or a couple in a small home or apartment.
Don't be fooled by their infamous tea cup size, these dogs fit as much confidence and attitude as a bigger dog in their tiny little body. They get along really well with other dogs and pets too, and require minimum exercise due to their small size. What's more, you can fit them right into your handbag!

My 17 year old morkie died yesterday. Loved him. They aren't lying when they say these dogs are loyal and emotionally intelligent. Mine also was kind of corky and tended to really like following a daily routine. Actually was really healthy up until the last couple of years. Loads of energy and confidence (a former morkie jumped off a 2nd story deck to chase an animal). Always excited to see you. Doesn't try to run away unless they are chasing something. Tend to have problems with arthritis / hips in old age. Good with children, but can be territorial.
I am loving my morkie. She loves to snuggle and she also live being outside.❤
My Mindy is the sweetest puppy in the world. She's 7 now. I can't imagine life without her. She's the love of my life. You won't be disappointed.

I have one, her name is Joy, she was a Christmas gift. Joy is happy, frisky loves treats and walks and is 12 years old.
Smart and intelligent is a perfect description, we are best friends forever.
Just lost our fur baby last year after having her for 16 years. Sasha was a rescued Yorkie with the heart of a lion and the smallest dog we have ever owned. Now we are looking for a new fur baby for my granddaughter and think a Morkie might be a good choice.
I have never been owned by a dog that has stolen my heart and wrapped it around her tail as much or as fast as my Morkie, Miss Leah Bella! Funny sweet and stubborn with her own distinctive personality!!

My Babydoll loves attention. She's all white with 2 brown spots , she has a personality out this world😅 , and is very smart in attentive.Her Dad is a Maltese in Mom Morkie mix ...started breeding them myself I love these little dogs .
I've had my dog for so many years now he's now 16 in dog years I love him to pieces! And I barely found out he's a morkie we got him from a petsmart his previous owners didn't want him anymore because he kept running away(which yes he did when he was younger) but he no longer runs away and we love him very much!

Our new Blk/Wt Morkle puppy is a doll. Very energetic and very motivated by treats. Brave, inquisitive, protective, stubborn, loving, very attached to us. Biggest worry is stepping on him. Can't imagine a family with young kids owning one. So glad we finally got a small dog.
I love my Morkie! She looks looks more like the Maltese yet with a short Yorkie tail. She is the boss of everybody but a great watch dog, loyal, friendly, and lovable! She is quite possessive of her momma and will defend her to death! She thinks she is a big dog at 5#s! I do have her groomed regularly (about every 2 months). She is very smart and trained very quickly. She is trained for inside and outside potty’s which is helpful for travel. She goes everywhere with me -airplanes, hotels, etc.
I have a Morkie, her name is Stella and she's the best little dog ever. Shes smart ans so loving. She is very social, great with kids and other dogs. Ours will be 6 in Nov 2020, she's all of 5.5lbs, however she thinks shes huge. Love her to pieces.

I have a 3 year old Morkie. He is the sweetest dog. He loves attention, playtime, snuggling. He is super smart but potty training has been a real pain with him. I have tried everything. Walks, crating, treats, diapers, etc. I can get him to pee outside (but he still marks inside occassionally). He will occassionallly poop on a walk but it literally just falls out as he is walking. We praise him and give him a treat right away but he still doesn't get it. He doesn't get that excited look after he is praised for pooping outside. I have another yorkie mix (shorkie) and had no problems with her house training. He sees her poop outside and runs and pees on it. I let him outside every couple of hours, stay out with him and he is walked twice a day. I'm hoping it will eventually click for him.
