Yes, but you need to see a picture of Fela's father, Rev. Israel Oludotun Ransome-Kuti, then you will know that Femi looks much more like his grandpa as far as physical appearance is concerned.

Fela was such an enigma. But one thing was unambiguous; Fela was a prolific composer of music.

For all of you fans and followers of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and all those sharing on facebook, this plagiarism of our answer to the film "Finding Fela", credited to Gboyega Adelaja by Bimbo Esho on her facebook page with the comment: “Surprise Surprise Rare video footage of romantic and unpoliticized" Fela & the Koola Lobitos of the early 60's, Song Oloruka” - it is important to say to you that I consider it despicably dishonest by those who put the video online. There is nowhere in this plagiarized version, where the origin of these rare footage was mentioned.
It is important to inform you all; that the images are from the unedited film the BLACK PRESIDENT produced and personally financed by Fela. A two and half hour epic film that traced Fela’s evolution from a tea-drinking, sex-shy young colonised African man with a historic and politic consciousness, transformed to a marijuana-smoking fighter for social justice.
Principal shooting of the film was completed one day before the Nigerian Army soldiers attack on Kalakuta on 18th February 1977. The original sound-track was burnt in the inferno, but thanks to my participation, knowledge of the film’s scenarios, evolution in technology today, plus the technical competence of my friend Olivier Van’l in a fantastic collaboration, we resynchronized the sound that was destroyed in the Kalakuta attack.
We have at least, four other songs we hope to diffuse in there near future and you can see more of these images in our video stream Fela Speaks ua-cam.com/video/Lp_xEwQ2Osc/v-deo.html

So cool hearing more of quest talking about Fela, i just got into him from the interview about him DJ'ing for prince, and feeling like Prince cut him off cause he was playing music so hip it intimidated his Royal Badness. "You'll never find this in a million years"... also if ive got anyones attention, how much do you hear Fela in Thom Yorkes music?
