      Ah man thank you for the kind words! I also can’t wait till something catches haha. I mean it’s a part of my choice to stick with the niche and really just hit my peeps with the content I know is relevant for us. Maybe the long term play will be to expand and hit more of the masses but I love the car niche and yall have been so good to me. I’m still enjoying it, regardless of the big viral videos or not 👊🏼 comments like this help.

    Question for you, what do you do when your monitor or laptop screen looks different from your iphone, so everything looks perfect in lightroom but once its in the iphone the minor changes don't look the way you wanted them to.

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  10 місяців тому

      Oof, I’ve personally only ever worked with apple products. I’m a bit of a nerd that way, and spent waaay to much on my apple display so that the colors all match from screen to phone etc…

    • @jaromievisuals
      @jaromievisuals 10 місяців тому

      @@TheCarCreative I pretty much only use Apple too, but even my MacBook Pro seems to be off :(

    • @Aaphree
      @Aaphree 3 місяці тому

      @@jaromievisuals I know this is an old comment, but I have struggled with this too. I end up sending a screenshot of the pic to myself (email, drive, whatever you fancy) and then view on my phone. If your end goal is to post on social media, then most likely it will be viewed on a phone. Obviously each phone has a different screen, so iPhones will look different from a Samsung or Pixel, but I think those will be more similar than the hundreds (or thousands) of different monitors that are out there. This way I cater it to look how I want on my phone screen, even if it means in Lightroom on my PC it doesn't quite look how I want it to. You could also do the edits on your phone using the Lightroom app, but obviously things like masking, etc will be a lot harder to do on a small screen (and not sure if all the color grading options are available in the mobile app).
      Definitely not the most streamlined way to go about it, but it works for me. I'm also a casual photographer so it's not like I'm doing a photoshoot with hundreds or thousands of pictures each time

    Thank you for all the new tool tips!! I am very curious tho, what was the reason behind using 1/3200 sec for the second pic? I always use around 1/160 to get steady and sharp shots, is there a benifit to using a shutterspeed much higher?

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  8 місяців тому

      Hey, I just built and launched a course that will answer all these questions for you. It’s about understanding all the settings on your camera, what they do, and how to use them in different scenarios. Using a shutter of 1/160 all the time will make you compensate for exposure with your aperture which isn’t always what you want. For me, I tend to set my aperture first with how much depth I want in the image, then ISO at 100, and then use shutter speed to balance out the exposure meter. But those are all creative decisions. Check out the course. Use code EARLYBIRD30 for a discount. 👍🏼

    I usually use the curve inside of a mask to darken the background. I used to do that with the exposure slider, but that also darkens the whites and blacks, which sometimes makes it look unnatural. With the curve the blacks are still black and the whites are still white, but it's overall still darker around the subject.
    Btw: Still cool to see my shot of my Jag in your preset kit at 6:52 😎

    • @TheCarCreative

  • @justask2403
    @justask2403 10 місяців тому

    Sometimes it’s really hard to not destroy the color of the subject (for example a car). What I then do is to create a virtual copy of the image. Now I can work on the subject but also on the background. Later I just put them together in photoshop. For me that’s really helpful, just don’t over edit the subject, it should still fit in the image 👍🏼

    • @TheCarCreative
      @TheCarCreative  8 місяців тому

      Hmm… I pay for the Lightroom / photoshop package that is like $10 or something so I get all the updates as they come. I use the Lightroom desktop version (not Lightroom CC). But if you’re looking for a cheap option the mobile version can do a lot. But the masks are limited until you pay I think.

    • @marianmorales21
      @marianmorales21 8 місяців тому

      Ohhh ok ok brother, but I don't think it will help me... I take it much more professionally and the cellphone version can help for generic photos but for posts or real clients in photo sessions, whether of cars or portraits, I need a powerful tool! Tomorrow I'm going to download another pirated version and see if it works for me! I would pay for the official version but I charge 23 dollars a day and I work only one day a week at my current job and I am only now resuming my activity as a photographer, which makes it difficult for me to be able to pay for it. a hug from Argentina!
