Chopper saying how bad his owners where
When death said he didnt appreciate any of his past lives. All scenes with death. The whole movie kinda🙈
Shrek 2 WAS my favorite Shrek movie by a mile... until Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. "SHREK 2" and "PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH" are honestly on the same level in terms of quality for me, they are two of the most groundbreaking animated movies and perfect sequels ever made. Shrek 2 is one of my favorite comedies ever, and while it’s probably the funnier movie, Puss in Boots 2 is more emotionally impactful to me. It’s right after “Everything, Everwhere, All at Once” for being my favorite film of 2022.
Nah it was good but not better than shrek 2 lol
@@al3xander353 That’s totally understandable, Shrek 2 is absolutely elite and hard to top. I can see either being someone’s favorite bc I think they both do things better than the other :)
@@al3xander353 Shrek 2 is nostalgic, but Puss in boots 2 is better in ratings
@@al3xander353 Eh. I think you'll like Puss In Boots 2 better for its timelessness. Shrek 2 is awesome but a bit dated.
@ROMMIX When i see people say they are equal that usually means in my mind puss in boots 2 is better it just doesn't got the nostalgia buff shrek 2 has.
Death as a villain was, in my opinion, THE BEST animated villain maybe ever. I got chills in the theater every time he did his whistle. For a hero like Puss to literally have his hair stand on end and to have his life flash before his eyes in fear was so interesting and so amazing to see. Stuff like that rarely happens in movies anymore. This movie was so good and I enjoyed every second of it. THIS right here is how you make an animated movie!
Eh. Death isnt even on my top 10 villain list because he isnt a villain. Jack Horner on the other hand-
@@sheevpalpatine6139 antagonist if you will
@@detectivehungry3544 Much better.
Still love Death as a character and that Puss got genuine character growth in this.
The villains were hands down what made the film perfect for me. So many memorable ones to choose from, all of which exhibited various classic villain tropes. Big Jack Horner is the classic villain who is evil and relishes in every moment of it, Death was the no nonsense 'I always get the job done' type villain, and Goldilocks and the three bears were the redeemable villains.
10/10 movie
10/10 reaction
:)
But is Death really a villain?
@@joshuagross3151 To Puss he was, up until the reveal as to who Death was and the end of the movie
@@Doctor_Pickney Then he's what's called an antagonist, not a villain.
@@joshuagross3151 To Puss he was a villain who was just trying to take his life. Until the reveal that he was Death. When that reveal happened he went from a villain to antagonist to both the viewer and Puss, simply trying to do his job.
Death in this movie is probably one of the most badass and intimating villains in an animated movie I've seen in awhile.
Fun fact: you can see Death watching Puss fighting the giant in the beginning of the film. He’s hidden in the background of the crowd
That first scene with death is better than the entire first Puss in Boots movie
Goes to show how much DW has improved. I hope they continue the streak! And I hope the success of this movie inspires changes in the rest of the industry!!!
Before this movie came out: They don't make animated movies like they did back in the 2000's
This movie comes out: I take it back.
It feels like my childhood has been revived because this movie maybe even tops Shrek 2 (Which I still really love.) the message, the animation, the adult jokes that go over the kid's heads. Just when I was losing hope in animated movies this movie came to the rescue.
Man, nobody makes great villains like Dreamworks! This and the top tier villains from Kung Fu Panda, man they're all so great!
This was definitely one of my top favorite animated movies of the last few years! I love when they go into the fight scenes, they go and cut the framerate, animated it on 2's, somehow it makes it just that much more impactful! Like an anime fight!
this is my fav movie from 2022 - just love that animation, the colors, the switches between the happy and dark mood. just awesome 10/10
I like how the map was showing Goldie that she already got what she wishes for she just needed to realize it :) also with Death a nice little detail connected to the 1st movie where we had Humpty who was always there watching Puss and the same goes for Death here, he was always there, on top of that you can see Death watching Puss during this movie pretty much from the beginning even before he made his entrance in the background when you play close attention so thats dope :) at the end there he low key turned into Darth Maul :D this movie was great, such a pleasant surprise, with Guillermo's Pinocchio they were the top animated movies of last year, RED was also pretty good, we had a strong year for animated movies in 2022 :)
If you read the first word on each line in the text next to Goldi's drawing in the book, it spells, 'You already have it' Idk if it's coincidental or on purpose but...
By far the best movie thay DreamWorks has ever put out for all of us to enjoy the animated style, the story telling all around great movie. Wolf/death is my fav.
5:07 “He had nine lives, he’s fine.”
*Death has some choice words to say to you*
Absolute masterpiece this movie. It's honestly a 10/10 for me. Not a single dull moment and they made one of the scariest antagonist I've ever seen. And I honestly thought they were about to kill Puss at the end.
Plus, fearless hero is forever stuck in my head. Such a good song.
I know death is a wolf as an analogy to "The big Bad wolf" as a nod to fairy tales and Puss'se own fear but I like to think hes *Anubis* too, the Egyptian death God (which I know is a jackal but still)
I never noticed until now, but Goldie kinda walks like the bears lol. She holds her shoulders the same way, that's a great body language detail from her being raised by the Three Bears.
This film was absolutely amazing! Probably my favourite animated film i've seen in AGES! The story, the visuals and the deeper meaning all 10/10- imo!
The wolf whistle still give me goosebumps 😳
I Love this Movie So Much BUT LOOOVED Primate actually getting the messages and getting so DEEP by the End, that's why I love to see the After Thoughts! GREAT REACTION!!!
Thanks!
*Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is what Thor: Love and Thunder should've been.*
They are literally two sides of the same coin.
The plots centering on finding the last wish. (Eternity and The Shooting Star)
The main character going through a mid-life crisis (Thor and Puss in Boots),
A character facing their mortality and finds value with their limited time (Jane and Puss in Boots),
The rekindled romance between ex's (Thor/Jane and Puss/Kitty),
An antagonist who threaten the main character's life (Gorr and the Wolf),
Regaining a character's lost signature weapon (Stormbreaker and Puss's sword)
And by the end forms a strong found family bond (Love and Team Friendship).
I can see some similarities but not the same imo
This movie made me SO excited for Shrek 5, especially if it takes after this movie with the animation, pacing, and emotionally-impactful/humorous writing
Dreamworks might have peaked with this film fr
Lowkey
Seen it countless times, but that line delivery will forever make the scene amazing: “and I don’t mean it metaphorically, or poetically, or theoretically, or rhetorically or in any other fancy way. I’m Death. Straight, up.”
There are so many different hidden things in this film...
The wolf is seen in all the 8 past deaths in some capacity.
The bell rings for Puss 8 times before it falls on him.
The tone the wolf whistles changes in pitch from grim to bright depending on hunt or acceptance.
Everyone has a wanted poster except for the wolf who points to "dead" as a hint.
etc. etc. etc.
I literally just noticed in this video the stray cut hairs that fly from Death when he's avoiding the first attack rush that Puss throws at him before pulling out the sickles. such incredible detail :0
Puss running away from the fight in terror is no analogy to trauma, it's a straight-up representation of a panic attack and a respectful one at that.
You can see Death in the crowd when he fights the giant! During their wave, in the shadows. He’s also designed in the corners of the death number cards
I wonder how a team up between Jack Horner and Rumpelstiltskin would turn out...
I’ve never really watched any of the newer animated movies but the ones I grew up with… for this being a 2022 movie, watching it feels like a 2000’s movie.. 🙏 I absolutely love this movie whole heartedly.
Bro I legit just watched this movie today, was completely blown away and almost immediately thought “can’t wait to see Primate watch this” then I come on YT and see you uploaded this. Can’t wait to watch haha.
W
Gonna have to be honest, Puss in Boots 2 is my favourite film in the Shrek universe
How could this movie not win an Oscar is beyond me. Defenetly the best animated movie of 2022 and one of the best animated movie ever. And Death is just perfect (and other villains as well). Top tier villain of DW with Shen in my opinion.
Death was in the beginning of the movie in the alley way when the giant swing the bell 4:27 (it's not in the video so yea)
14:45, he LITERALLY just POKED the BEAR!
I love that they had a doctor who also a baber. In ye olden days, the barber was also a doctor in mist places, because latest the nearest doctor was too far away,
And it was safer to go to the barber as well since he at least had a sharp knife.
Probably my favourite and best animated villain in a dreamworks film ever. I once wrote/directed a student project back in uni involving Death and in the end I wasn't happy with it. The way the movie depicted the character here is how I wish I had done my version. Too bloody good and that voice...Mmm...So good. A truly unexpected great sequel. I love it when a film you think will suck surprises you and ends up being utterly awesome in everyway.
"So this is a sequel to an 11 year old spinoff of a sequel. What are you going to do with this?" "How about we make one of the best animated movies of the last 5 years. How would that be?"
This is my no1 fav movie of all time. Beyond fantastic and amazing. Blew me away
11:16 ‘Who else stuffed you in a piano?’ The most important question honestly !
Dude... I watched the movie... and then I watched maybe 6-8 different reactions on UA-cam but always I hear that whistle I have chills.... even from your video!... Great movie and great reaction!
It’s awesome!
That panic attack Puss had is scary in it's realism.
Really good movie. Glad I watched it on my birthday this week. The relationship between Kitty and Puss was my favorite part of the movie. Also Kitty Softpaws is my most favorite character and is personally relatable to me.
Omg same!!! I have trust issues, since i have a group of rather toxic friends that i try to get rid of, but seem to fail since ive known them my entire life ( well 2 of them anyway) i do have two best friends who are awesome, but im still stuck with that toxic group of friends, and i cant bring myself to leave them. Im really trying but after all the things that they have done to me, i really have trouble trusting people and knowing who my real friends are, ofc i know that my bffs are my real friends, but still i have trouble with other friends. Im really afraid of being betrayed by my new friends since the toxic friends have made me so sad to the point where i would cry in my bedroom after school, without my parents knowing. They arent that bad anymore but still.
Happy late birthday!
Still haven’t seen this but from what I’ve seen online it looks great
Such a great movie, animation wise and story!
I said it once I’ll say it again the wolf was in his Omar from the wire bag
Life 2, it wasn't that they were dogs, or that he won.
IT WAS BECOUSE HE HAD 5 ACES!!!
It's not the big bad wolf, I assumed so too until I remembered that they used the big bad wolf in the first shrek movies dressed as the granny (in pink clothes)
i hear alot of good things bout this movie i would love to watch it idk where it streams tho
Streaming on Peacock or you can buy it online from places like Amazon!
@@ItsAPrimatee deff amazon then pretty sure peacock is not in germany thanks
This movie was actually amazing
Death: I was there to witness all of them.
Viewer: You killed him 8 times?
DO YOU PEOPLE NOT KNOW WHAT THE WORD ‘WITNESS’ MEANS?!
Lmao bro my 6yo son made me buy this for him and we must have watched it 15 times. Brilliant movie, animation is just gorgeous
One of the most well done animated movies imo
This movie seem to be the most beautiful, stunning and entertaining movie that I must say that it brings chills to me when I watch it for my own time. 😄 As each character, song, and story was very amazing to bring tears to my eyes. So your reaction was so outstanding and amazing prime. With that said, I can’t wait for you to react to Shrek 5 once around 2 years ahead to come.
Also I believe that every Animation movie is getting influenced by Spider-Verse comic book style as it make it feel like a book with motion. They are having a great idea and can’t wait to see how the style can evolve more into future franchises.
One of my fav movies of 2022
Nice. Great reaction. Such a good movie, was so surprised how good this movie actually is. Amazing villains, characters, the humour, story, music, just brilliant. Disney should be worried.
Another banger video. Beginning to think that’s a series too
:)
My favorite part was sitting in the theaters hearing kids crying and cowering in fear of the wolf in this film. Finally a film that instills genuine fear in the children!
So many films I watched as a kid were scary in some way, (Example: The Dark Crystal) I think it's healthy, it builds character.
Great reaction Primate I watched this in the cinemas today it was so awesome.
I’ve been waiting for this
:)
This movie is just amazing
I love petitto he is my favorite
was waiting for this
'' im death straight up ''
Death was cool but I wish he had more feats.
While ALL the characters are great, Death was arguibly the best part of the movie. Which is crazy when you realise he has like maybe 5 minutes of screentime.
Such a good movie
Forsure in my top 3 animated movies
I actually love this movie better than the first one because the first was just adventure and this one has more action
Edit: I don't care what people say but after watching this movie *Shrek 5* is DEFINITELY happening
Puss In Boots 2 The Last Wish is actually funny movie
Great reaction death is definitely the best character
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS this movie is PEAK
It interesting to see your reaction to the films Robocop and Robocop 3. This is a cool immortal classic 👍
I’ll keep them in mind!
I'll be waiting for your reactions ;)
Honestly, I avoided this movie ever since I learned of it because I didn't think it would be good, but I just watched it today and it was amazing
However how is momma bear alive? She was turned into a rug for Farquad in the first Shrek movie. Did they retcon that or are there multiple versions of the fairy tail characters?
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
:)
You and your GF should react to The Crow (1994) starring Brandon Lee, he is Bruce Lee son.
Brandon Lee tragically got shot on the set of the movie due to a prop gun with a piece of left over blank bullet residue, the crew thought Brandon was playing joke when scene was over and when he was laying on the floor he wasn’t moving but when they got closer they saw it was serious and rushed Brandon Lee to the hospital, the doctors did everything they could but it was too late Brandon Lee passed away at the age of 28.
Some scenes aren’t Brandon it’s his body double Chad Stahelski, Chad is the director of the John Wick franchise. The director of The Crow Alex Proyas had too cut and add new scenes for the movie because of happened to Brandon. They also CGI Brandon Lee face on too Chad face and the makeup artist made a face mask of Brandon face for chad to wear. All scenes were they don’t show Brandon Lee face it’s Chad
Brandon was supposed get married to his fiancée Eliza Hutton after The Crow finished filming.
After Brandon was supposed to get married Brandon was going to a sign a two-year deal to continue The Crow storyline. The Crow is comic book/graphic novel created by James O'Barr.
Before entering the Marines, O'Barr's fiancée Beverly had been killed by a drunk driver.
While living in Berlin in 1981, O'Barr began work on his comic The Crow as a means of dealing with his personal tragedy.
O'Barr was further inspired by a Detroit newspaper account of the murder of a young couple over a $20 engagement ring.
In The Crow, the protagonist, Eric and his fiancée Shelly are murdered by a gang of criminals. Eric then returns from the dead guided by a supernatural crow, to hunt their killers.
After his discharge from the Marines O'Barr continued his painting and illustration as well as doing various odd jobs.
The Crow sat on a shelf for seven years but at last he found a publisher with Gary Reed of Caliber Press.
The first miniseries was published in 1989. The Crow has since sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide.
This movie has the best soundtrack of all time according to Rolling Stones magazine, Revolver Magazine etc. and the movie score is amazing as well.
There is actually a Liquor made from cream FROM Spain, I think it's from Spain?
Who is your favorite fearless hero?!
16:11 No way you planned that! 🤓

Good on this end!
When you gonna react to the second Paranormal Activity movie?
Watch Alice in wonderland for the "eat me, drink me" easter egg!
This is way too dark to be a kids movie. Animation is growing, even Dreamworks is drawing a new line. The themes of mortality, among others, are just DARK.
This movie is perfection, and will change the animation scene for a while. And Into The Spider-Verse inspired this movie, I can’t wait to see what is inspired by this one.
Yo man I would really like to see you react to the How to Train Your Dragon series. I just watched them the other night for the first time and I really enjoyed them and I would like to see your reaction to them🙏🏽🔥

i believe lord and miller were involved in this, who were also involved with into the spider-verse, which explains the animation style.
