- Fender Quad Reverb. 89lb/40Kg monster amp. 4x12 Fender Utah speakers. 100 Watts. 2- Channels, Tremelo and Reverb. I've replaced the original reverb tank with a MOD tank.
I'm playing on a 1990s Fender USA Strat with stock pickups and without any effects pedals.
yea all very nice but can we have a demo of you getting in the back of your car after the gig??
Easy. They top heavyness makes it topple in there perfectly. A twin is far harder to move.
I own one and it isn’t as bad a twin or super reverb. It just takes up the entire back seat

@@djefferson5669 probably the hiwatt 'legend' speakers from what me and a friend can tell, but the speakers used around that time can be anything from 12t75s, legends, other celestions, fanes, so who really knows except kurt haha
They should bring back this amp.

I had one and carted it around in a Mazda 1300. It occupied the whole back seat and weighed a ton!! Wish I never sold it.
Wow, the only other perdon I have seen use one. It was our school band amp , we put bass,guitar and vox through it ...with s drum machine and it was brill. The shop that sold it to us could'nt wait to get it out the door..it was too big! We did an E.P. called torture music using one...but that was 1980!!
If they think that’s big they should see a super six reverb
Albert Collins used one, turned all the way up! Made my ears bleed, I was running monitors for a show. About 10 feet away, it was beyond "Iceman" cool.
That must have been great to work one of his shows (aside from the blown eardrums). I had a hard time matching a guitar with that amp. The Strat was too icy for me but then again I never had it fully cranked.

What’s the reverb tank? reverb sounds killer as does the amp! Been after one of these for a while!!!!
it had a regular Fender spring reverb circuit just like a Fender twin reverb amp had.
the Quad Reverb amp was just a Twin Reverb with 4-12" speakers instead of 2.
edit = oh shit, i forgot to tell yalls that all 4 of this amp's speakers were wired in parallel which means that it's 90 watt output transformers were just kicking back producing an actual 90 watt output.
in other words, suck it Marshall !
What is the difference between the Quad Reverb and the Super Reverb ? Both have 4x12's ?
Super Reverb is 45 watts with 4x10 speakers
One is 100 watts, one is 45, one sounds horrible, one is amazing and legendary.

I own one theses bad boys!!! and 63 black face bandmaster!! and ill tell ya these 2 amps break up deep and blast low end bec i blieve bec i thought about this the band master is like 50 watts it breaks up very soon soo you get the best tone early!! and this amp the quad omg like its 4 12s at 4 ohms!!! for 100 watt tubes!! soo this thing breaks up in whole different way! but kinda the same way just 100 watt pushing 4 ohm load at 4 12s! be ready when your speakers blow out it could happen soon with this badboy!!

Marvin it actually a 6x10 called the super six.........they are hefty boxes of tonal goodness.
I want one of these so bad instead of my frontman 212 solid state. But i cant afford it
