I live in a new township south of Johannesburg. It covers a very large area and still growing. Housing is totally free and given to military veterans (of which I am one) and people being moved out of the shacks. Some people have really made their houses very beautiful. We pay for electricity and water only. Crime level is low.

In terms of the relationship between the two, there are so many stories like this. Where helpers become such an integral part of the family that those ties never end, sometimes the host family adopt the children of the helper and take them to good schools.

This can be misleading to an outsider, an informal settlement and a township are two different things. Yes, informal settlements are found in townships, but that doesn't mean all townships are informal settlements. Also, these types of living conditions are mostly common in Cape Town.

Unfortunately our government does not care about the poor. Abortion is taboo in most of South African black cultures,😮 there is no way those posters belong to South Africans but I am gonna leave it there. The accent of the guy over the phone gives him away. It’s not a South African accent. The sad reality about our country is the wide gap between the rich and the poor. As for sangoma, those things are deep spiritual things .This video made me so emotional. It’s good that you are learning both sides Fam. Much love ❤

@@TheDemouchetsREACT they don't care at all for certain areas, especially Townships in Cape Town. At least a lot of Townships in Johannesburg are progressive, and can find jobs and business opportunities but a lot of Cape Town townships are just slums.

Back in the day,Some white employers did take the house help kids to school mostly varsity, like all you had to do was to finish school and if not you will still be set up for a job based on that white person link, actually most first blacks kids to freely go to white schools was based on this and not affording or simply having a choice,NAFSAS came and that changed plus most white middle class dont afford house help anymore so all they can afford is our Zimbabwean sisters as house help…..social dynamics of south African domestic workers…is all good regardless 😊
