Yeah this is from the Survival album. I typically prefer their original tunes over their covers, but I think they really “made this one their own” with their version of it! Thanks for the comment!!
I just came across this video, and I’m glad I did. Great job! I had the Grand Funk Survival album in high school, and I always preferred this version of the song over the Stones.
Thanks for your comment, and I gotta say I totally agree regarding preferring this version. I always thought it was much more powerful. I’m guessing you must be a TCU fan? I’m in Fort Worth (Aledo actually). Hope Sonny Dykes has a good season! I have a few other covers on my channel from Survival if you want to check them out…. Cheers! Andy
Hi there! Thanks for your comment - sorry the volume was low for you. Probably depends on what kind of device you're listening with. It seems pretty audible on my computer but I know other devices can sound very different. Thanks again!
Hi there Stephen, no effects other than the settings on my Tech21 Landmark 120 amp. Overdrive/gain is set on about 7, only using the neck pickup with tone rolled off. Tone settings on amp are midway for treble and mids, all the way up on bass setting. Hope that helps!
You just nail that GFR sound. Great job
Thanks!! Appreciate it!!
I didn’t know GF did this. Great job again AJ! I’m liking the use of a pick more and more. For a trio the bass fills the room!

You nailed it! I bleed purple, along with my wife and 2 younger brothers. I will definitely check out your other covers from Survival.
Volume was low but what I heard was very good. Pretty bass too!

@@AJs-guitar-bass Yes! I gave it a 100 W with my JBL`s and it was great! Keep it going......
The whole song is kept by the bass
Yes i totally agree! And that’s so true for so many early GFR tunes. Thanks for your comment! Cheers! Andy
Effects? Nice work.
