Thanks for the kind comment! This song is a great example of Billy G’s creativity. Interesting chord changes with arpeggios and lots of tasty touches thrown in that add so much to the sound. Oh man! Thanks for the very kind comment! I'm so glad to hear that someone appreciates him and this song! This is one of the greatest guitar anthems that I'd guess a lot of people have never heard. Not only is the song and playing in it fabulous, but that whole album is so musical and creative. It's one you can listen to start to finish and just be amazed by the different styles and musicality of the various songs. I remember the first time I ever heard this song, I thought "man, I'd love to be able to play that"! It took a long time for a self-taught hack like me to even get close to being able to play it, but it's certainly fun to try! Thanks again! Cheers! Andy

I bet they were screaming for it - such a wonderfully constructed and great sounding song. Wonder why he didn't play it?? I just bought the Ibanez Mikro bass and it plays great! Are there any tabs out there for this song?

Ah Ibanez makes some really nice basses! I don’t have any tabs for this - just tried to figure it all out by ear. There may be some elsewhere on UA-cam but if so I haven’t seen them. You can probably figure a lot of this out by watching my hand positions I’d think. Hope that helps! Have fun! Andy

I've always thought this song is one of the most amazing bass performances for Mel, and that's saying a lot because all of his early bass lines/performances were so great. This one is quite a challenge because it is all over the place, but it's so fun to try to play. If you take any request I would DIE if you make a cover from Rory Gallagher’s live Stage Struck album “Moonchild”…I freaking love the bass in that song! Cheers!!!

@@AJs-guitar-bass I’m from Curitiba, south region of Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is a popular place to visit, but you should come back and go to other states. Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina for example has too many beautiful beaches, mountains and canyons and more to the center of the state a lot of beautiful nature places.

I just figured it out by ear, and try to play it the way that sounds right to me - not necessarily the "right" way, but the way that works for me. Do you have a video of how you play it? Thanks Jeff! This is one of those great examples where Mel's bass line really defines and creates the overall sound of the song - there are many where that's the case actually. What a great job he did on their first 5-6 albums! I've got almost all of their songs from their first 5 albums covered on my channel if you get a chance to check other ones out. Thanks! Andy
