Any less-than-lethal weapon that so strongly resembles a lethal weapon is a stupid idea because it justifies an opponent to defend with lethal force against your less-than-lethal offense.

The whole idea behind a non leathal weapon is to be as effective as as a leathal weapon in subduing your attacker WITHOUT having someone's death on your concience.

@@rampagephoenix1735 I'm aware that's the idea, there just isn't one that works that way and one that looks like a lethal weapon justifies deadly force on the part of your attacker. Non-lethal weapons should not look anything like deadly weapons.

FYI, the bb gun at the beginning is not recommended for self-defenses. It's designed for collectors and those who would like to train on how to use the model gun without using expensive ammo. The most you can do with that bb gun is maybe bluff with it. But be careful, that can also get ya shot.

@@Justin-rq6kf Actually, over the past decade, many states have lightened up on knife laws and in fact have a more detailed set of laws. For an example, some 1 inch knives are illegal to conceal carry in Maine where I live because they are meant to be weapons, whereas I can carry my massive folding Cold Steel concealed because that particular modal is not meant to be used as a weapon but as a tool for the outdoors, though it can easily be a weapon just as a blunt instrument can be a weapon. Read up on your knife laws because brass knuckles are way different than knives in that knives can be tools for other uses than a weapon, but not brass knuckles. California does indeed have weird and strange laws about everything. Why do you think the knife community, and even manufacturers, call smaller knives California legal?

Here's a bit of stupidity for you. In those places where concealed carry weapon is available, it applies only to firearms, not to weapons carried adjunct to the firearm. Fortunately, most policemen will not complain about a woman having spray, just as, even recently, many would not arrest a woman for having a purse pistol. But the law is the law, and you must assume you will run into a stickler.
I have no idea why non-firearms, for lesser-force options, are not automatically covered by the permit, although it may be that the need for competency training makes legislatures concerned. Adjunct to that, may be the fear that, under most department policies, if a lower level weapon is taken, the next level is automatically justified. In short, if your spray is taken, you are automatically justified in using the pistol, which the legislature may think will lead to the "drop-weapon" cascade, that you let him take your spray so you could shoot him. Some prosecutors are just that cynical.

I spent 24 years in the Da Hood, first defense lesson. Leave the area, no house or city is worth your safety; if you can leave area do so. Second, Guns can save your life but rarely do. If you follow rule one you lower the probability of a tough situation. Gun is useful ironically when every other option has failed. Awareness, finding an escape route or de-escalation often wasn't even considered. Awareness, keep your eyes open, a man points a gun at a cashier. Don't create victims but notice what he wearing as you step back. Does he have an accomplice? Notice details, call the police too at the same time. FOR GOD SAKE IF YOU SEE THE CRIME FROM ROAD DON'T PULL IN. Think, react, evade and reassess fight or flight; not all fights can be avoided but using deadly force should be the last course for either a man or woman. Heroes can get people killed, you aren't John Wick. Life isn't a movie.

6:00 I really hope the creator of this themselves know that this is clearly modeled after what is called a "kama". I learned how to use them taking taekwondo - as a specialty for the demo/comptetition team I was on, an instructor had "invented" his own weapon, called "flying kamas". I was the only other person who he trained in how to use them & let's just say it involved 3 of the weapon that is shown here at the end of about an arms length (each) of rope... now imagine those cool ravers that swing around those glowsticks lol.
    Yes stitches were involved.

In the UK, most of these items would get you in prison just for owning them let alone carrying one in public.

With the accuracy of many novice shooters, the mini-pistol may be useless without the sight, so it does count. And furthermore, I heard of a few times the sight of a laser flash deterred an attacker.

The wireless stun gun wont immobilize an attacker. The barbs need to be at least 12 inches apart to take someone down. Its basically like using a cheap amazon stun gun. Cool idea, but it would really just annoy an attacker.

Ya, I have a new innovation from like WW1, it's a model 1911 and it's so high tech that it can shoot live rounds into an actual threat without having to pretend it's lethal.

Most of these are crap. Standard knives, brass knuckles, and guns work well enough and don't overcomplicate themselves.
