To all those stuck in the battery extraction phase, I've been there. It is indeed not that easy.. but I figured out a trick. If you look at the battery and it's surroundings you will see that it has some wiggle room in front of it. Put your finger on the battery, on the opposite side of the wiggle room. push the battery down and towards the wiggle room doing so, you should get the battery to tip ever so slightly upwards. Now notice that the front wiggle room has a teeny slit. Insert something super thin in that slit, like a small kitchen knife Now pry upwards. battery should pop right up. To put a new one, put it in an upward tilt- really the only way to it and press down with mild force. It should click into place.
Thanks for the video ! I see that you touch the new battery directly, and I learned many years ago that you shouldn't touch such lithium batteries (they weaken) Use gloves or some other creative solution. maybe the lithium batteries aren't like that anymore, but I'm still following the advice I got then :)
Hi there. I hope that you are in good health, wealth, and waist! A million, billion thanks for showing us guys and gals how to replace the battery. I can sleep a whole lot better at night now. Take and bye4now...Hussein.
These types of batteries AND watch batteries should never be touched by fingers, as the acid from the fingers creeps from one side to the other + > - thus shortening the battery life. Hold the battery when inserting, with either a hankerchief or a plastic tweezers.
I have this fob, but I'm so stuck on getting the battery out after the cover is removed. All I can seem to do pushing and pulling is damage my nail. Anyone know a tool for this?
Thanks for the video - you've just saved me a trip back to the main dealer 👍
