Sam Jones was an American professional basketball player who played as a shooting guard for the Boston Celtics in the NBA. Known for his speed and clutch shots, particularly in the NBA playoffs, he was a five-time NBA All-Star. Jones ranks second in NBA championships with ten titles, only behind his teammate Bill Russell, who has eleven. Alongside Russell and K. C. Jones, he was one of three Celtics players to be part of the team's eight consecutive championships from 1959 to 1966. Jones is inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
