Just installed this on my stock FRS and the sound is phenomenal.
TLDW: BLITZ intake on the dyno resulted in a 6.69HP gain.
Good stuff keep doing videos like this. Especially for the FR-S BRZ.
its worth noting that Blitz recommend cleaning these type of intakes every 5,000km/3,000miles. Impractical to say the least!
I have the bliz. I brought my FR-s to Japan and it was recommended by my friends with GT86s.The only thing I did not like was it fits weird with my kakimoto intake pipe so I will prob change it back to stock and the maf wire is stretched out.Other than that they say it is nice and it is nice.I was warned though in the summer it sags because of heat so get the greddy snorkel and it helps alot. I am thinking about going with afe this winter or waiting to see if they come out with a better-designed intake in Japan. Now there have been a couple of Japanese dudes who did not like the maf wire stretched over like that so they modded theirs so the wire could stay in the same spot.Make sure you have slack when you install this. Cheers
I put one on mine recently. OMG the sound. People will definately notice when you put your foot down
Where did you get it? I've been looking to get one for my brz and I just can't find one.
Does this intake need tune? I notice that subi engine needs to be tune when you put an aftermarket part on?
Could you do one on Greddy's intake
This looks like what I'm putting on my frs
Was that dyno test done with a warm engine bay? Nice gains without direct access to outside air.
so i guess blits is the best for frs?
thanks
I watched all the videos, and Blitz scored the best. It has a metal only filter element that is a multi layer mesh, but how about filtration capability, because that is an issue with all aftermarket intakes.
I saw a transaltion from an older japanese magazine where they compared intakes, and blitz scored high and it was not the worst in filtration, and many said that they used very tiny particules that would be rarely encountered in real life, so according to that test if you clean it regularly, you should be fine with a blitz intake.
I have a Blitz SUS C1 core with heatshield on my evo x mr, if anything goes wrong I will have first hand experience.
8 years later, would you still recommend?
@@777dderek I am using BLITZ ADVANCE POWER A1 CORE on my bmw E34, and I am really satified with its exquisite quality.
is that sound with stock exhaust?
hi i need your help where i can buy those rubber grommet that you put on the PCV balve to connect the hose? badly needed so i can ised my Aem ...pls help
Only thing they have been changing are the intakes
Why are your stock numbers different in this video and the Blitz drop-in filter video?
Thanks! I ended up getting the drop-in. Love it!
TonyPeesTunes I'm thinking about getting the BLITZ intake. Is it a noticeable power increase?
+TonyPeesTunes I would assume its because they make videos different days, if the dyno conditions are different you need to retest stock again each time.
What is special about that Conico BLITZ
Now how much does it had if you add the blitz suction tubing with it
I currently have just the pipe installed and it's noticeably louder on the outside of the car, even with the stock exhaust. I removed the sound pipe which goes to the cabin and you can definitely hear the real sounds of the car a lot more, which sounds nicer imo.
The stock intake pipe has a resonator on it, which I'm guessing is why the noises increases when you remove it.
Well I might be able to get it, my piston wants to say hello, its knocking
I notice no one had their safety glasses on. jeeeeeez, trying to lose an eye?! haha
Yall talking about intake sounds? but theres no videos where u could actually hear it lmao
Is this BLITZ intake is CARB legal in CA? Just wanna make sure before buy it.
H Chang In issue #129, the buyers guide, the first section of the specs indicates whether a filter has a C.A.R.B EO#. In this case the BLITZ advanced power air cleaner does not appear to have a EO#.
DSPORT So how do we find out if its legal or not? I've bought the intake already and its just sitting in my trunk now :/
Damm why it doesn't has a c.a.r.b eo#. Too bad, don't wanna get a ticket just for it.
+H Chang Does it really matter? Like if a cop is even going to check your engine bay? I had a cop look at my engine bay one time and he is impress how different the filter design looked rather than giving me a ticket.
+loveever89 not all cops are same, some are cool some aren't. I'm just deciding what to do with my intake now, either install it and risk getting my engine checked and uninstalling and installing every year I go for a smog check.
hahahah what bs if this worked then every race car would have one but they dont hahahaha
