When someone has zero feedback, I will Google their address. A lot of these scammers seem to be changing their account but keeping the same address. Some have showed up on forums with other complaints of charge backs. We happened to catch one before we shipped. Ebay sent us a similar message two days later.

Also, don't be afraid to block bad buyers. A lot of new people are afraid of this. It saves you time and headaches in the long run. This year has been a bit heavier with scammers & unfair buyers.
I actually put Their address in Google, checked out where I'm sending it, and also checked the name of the person I'm sending it to, especially when it is an expensive item.
Yes eBay has sent 2-4 messages in all the years about scammers or my account May have been compromised for me to change my password ASAP! That’s why it so important to read the messages within the messaging system cuz it could be from eBay in regards to this.😊

Some words from my late Mother "when they say something about you that hurts or bothers you, learn to IGNORE THEM as that bad person is leaving another innocent person alone". It took practice as my Mothr was raising six children alone in the mid 1960s on Welfare when it was completely different than it is today. I remember kids making fun of my clothing as it was purchased at a thrift shop. And, I have passed that on to my own children. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all !!!

I have NEVER received hate in any form from someone doing BETTER than I was doing at that moment. I heard this somewhere recently and it's crazy how true it is. In all the situations I can pull from memory this holds up. Now if only we could get the haters to realize that you don't get taller by standing on someone else's neck, the world would be a better place.

Exactly 🤣🤣🔥🔥 what I have noticed the last 12 years on UA-cam is new channels get frustrated too quickly with slower channel growth than they think they deserve… and resort to attacking others in hopes of drawing attention back their way 🫣
The element they are selling their soul for is only going to offer opportunities to sink further into the fear, anger & self pity party by attracting more like minded people.
Sure… rant and gossip channels in all genres can make tons of money, but it usually turns out to be at a very high cost somewhere in your life .

I've said this before and I will say it again; people that make comments like "you're not a real re-seller" are JEALOUS of your success!!! You and your family work extremely hard to do what you do and to be so good at it!! God has blessed and give you the opportunity to be able to quit your job and re-sell full time and be a fantastic social media content creator as well!! I for one am quite happy for all of your success and I've learned some things about re-selling from you from watching your videos. There are those that say I am not a real reseller because I have my teacher retirement to fall back on. But I'll tell you what - reselling paid for my wife to have a heart pacemaker, it pays the electric bill in the summer in Texas, it paid for our trip to Italy and cruise to the Bahamas. It was hard work making that money. Anyone who says I am not a real reseller is WRONG.

Kevin, I was happy to hear you stand up against the "not a real reseller" comments. I have recently seen an uptick of people releasing videos to call out content creators for not being real resellers and find that ridiculous since they too are obviously content creators trying to accomplish the same success on social media as those they are bashing. I make more in the music industry than my reselling but all the work I put into being a reseller is definitely real.

I now have a majority income "creating content" for cooking classes for the public. Does that negate my 20 years as a professional cook/chef? No. Anyone who says I'm not a chef because I don't run a restaurant right now can kiss my you know what. I also make income as a part time reseller. You can't tell my sidehustling work doesn't make me real just because it's only 20% of my yearly income.

I work my butt off at my "regular job" making $80k/year (yes I am blessed for that opportunity) and another $10k being a "fake reseller each year.
My reselling is as professional as others who claim to be full time....
I feel like that I am a better part timer than other full timers in my products delivered...but I will stand and attest that

Not a real reseller?! Not only are you a real reseller, but you’ve shared so much of your knowledge that you’ve allowed many others to make residual income that allows them to take a vacation, to help with their kids tuition and so many other things. And I’m proud to say that includes me. I work a full-time job, however, reselling has given me many opportunities to do things for people that I care about that I couldn’t have done otherwise. And I’ve learned these things not just from you but from other resellers on UA-cam and I’m thankful. I’m appreciative. I know you get emotional sometimes when you talk about this topic. It’s hard not to be sensitive about it. Thank you. Thank all of you for not just teaching us but for motivating us to be good people and to do it the right way.

I sold more things this week that i,ve had awhile. One was a beautiful wedding veil with real pearls from the 1960,s. They had packed it perfectly,and the color was just like the day she wore it. It was like a time capsule. Had other keepsakes in the box. I sold a really good chenille robe. It was gorgeous. Both of these were from Estates. Clothing has really slowed down. Were in between summer and fall. We have the 411 sale coming i believe in September. That is a multi state yardsale. You can drive thru several states and shop. So have fun on that one. Its coming up soon. Alabama,Tennessee,Mississippi,and more.

What do you mean by "I'm committed to six more whatnot auctions"? We follow a ton of UA-cam sellers, who also do whatnot, and not one of them ever mentions a "pre committed" number if auctions they agree to do on whatnot... just sell when they want. Do you have a special arrangement with them because if your social media following??? Just wondered.
Yes. My family wanted to try and it allows me to give some money to Bubbas girlfriend over the summer. So I committed to 6 shows. We shall see after that. It is fun and good money but is not my passion.

I had a sale canceled by ebay. They told me the same thing don't ship. I hadn't shipped it, and it's still sitting after 2 months in my Listings to ship tab. When I called eBay, they told me to still leave it there. They haven't taken the money away from me. But I relisted the item is sold it again. I shipped it out, and it was returned to me as undeliverable.. I haven't heard from the customer kind of avoiding it because of the last cancel and say, "Oh, it may be the same person." That's never happened to me before.. I'm just sitting back and seeing how it plays out. I never had underdeliverable orders that came back to me.. I just had another one in my other shop, which is separate, and it came back to me as a person unknown. Hmmmm...

I only sell a few items a year for various reasons, but I don't need to do reselling fulltime, so I guess according to whoever, I am not a reseller. Ridiculous. Most people are supportive. There seems to be someone in every community on UA-cam that enjoy leaving negative comments or putting the channel down. I am a scrapper and salvage e-waste and other things, and I have one commenter who feels the need to tell me I don't know what I am doing and I'm a stupid woman in a man's profession. I blocked him but there will be others who will criticize with no intent to be helpful with comments.

I am going to translate Kevin's comments for you...because he is too much of a gentleman ti come out and say it...take your comments and stick them where the sun don't shine! Who are you to judge what another person does to support their family? Do you think Kevin just has totes of stuff for show in the videos? Are the boxes they show packed just empty? Nooooo. I bet he works more hours at reselling than you do in your "full time " job. AND they home school their kids on top of it! Wow, people are so rude. I’m rarely on fb anymore and I deleted Next Door because of how people attack you at their keyboard. I resell as a side gig. I love it. I’m not really too interested in quitting my job to resell full time because I think the competition in our city is quite stiff for buying, and because a job is “for sure” money. Sales of any sort go up and down. I KNOW you are a “real” reseller! Lol.

Maybe its just because my volume is so low, or I am just fortunate, but, it is easy for me to discern legitimate questions about an item from scammers. Of course, I don't get near the volume of traffic that you do. I am also a very amateur reseller and haven't been at this for very long.
QUESTION: I am more a hobby seller on eBay, and before I list my item, I have it in its box( not taped up) so I can get dimensions and weight for the listing. You box up after the sale? How did you list it without knowing the weight or dimensions?? All of you resellers do this and it baffles my simple mind. Thanks and keep up the great shows.
I'm a side-hustle reseller too, mainly hard goods that are easily breakable in transit. I don't see it often in reseller videos because it's bulky, but I use biodegradable peanuts for my packaging because they're the best at stabilizing an item away from the sides of a box, and have an assortment of box sizes that I purchased from a local box company. I weighed each size of my boxes full of peanuts to get a box weight, and then I just use that number plus the weight of the item for an estimated shipping weight. If I'm right on the border on pounds, like 1lb 15oz, I'll pad that estimated weight to 2 lbs 2oz just to be safe. I find this method to be fairly accurate, but I also recognize that this takes a bit of upfront investment over just finding boxes in the wild. I hope this helps, or gives you some ideas!

Agree 100%. The "Real Reseller" argument is ridiculous. I have a friend who is an Accountant and has a UA-cam channel. So, is he not an Accountant because some of his viewers become his customers? Should he turn in his CPA certificate? People can be more than one thing and have more than one stream of income. I think those folks insulting Resellers are just jealous.

How can people be so rude, seriously, you appear to me to know what your doing. You have a nice home, your buildings are nice and clean, very nice family and appear to be a God fearing man. That says alot. Also how many pickers would go back and give a person more because they made more than they thought they would.
