Reselling is hard. There's 10 hours a day of sourcing, cleaning, listing, repairing, packing and shipping. And let's not forget bookkeeping, sending offers, answering messages and checking and tweaking my listings. It's all day 7 days a week. It is insulting when people think we just work an hour a day and then goof off the other 23. My time is worth money and if you want it for less then go find it yourself. Rant over.
I'm Catching Up 🤪😆 We Appreciate You & Your Beautiful Family For All You Do 🥰💙
Thank you for the words of encouragement for us with Full time jobs trying to make a side income , it’s hard work juggling all that😍
Absolutely!!
Reselling may look effortless from the casual observer but if they look a bit closer they will see someone who works smart & hard at what we enjoy doing.
It’s a lot less effort than my last job I did for 16 years (head server at a few different restaurants) but it only looks easy once you get really good at it. But for it to be anyone’s number one job it’s a TON of work if you want to succeed at it. BUT I make a ton more than I used to and can make my own schedule. 🤷♂️
In 3 of last 15 videos kevin made it very clear that he puts very minimal effort into reselling. Only ships a few hours a week. Only has to list a hour a day. Only sources 3 days a week. I believe 1 video was how to make 50 grand a year working what 20 hours a week? Lol.
Our best sale the last week of December was a record set, The United States Marine Band Heritage Of John Philip Sousa - Volume 1-9 Vinyl for $120. Our best month of the year was April. We purchased a bulk lot of N scale trains which boosted our sales that month to over $17k.
Reselling will not make you rich. Having a YT channel with 100k followers might. Kevin does a GREAT job on social media and deserves the reward for his efforts. Happy New Year! 🎉
I got a thermal printer for my labels, and I thought I’d share how I hung up my labels to feed to printer - I used a stick up toilet paper holder 😊 works great so far 😊
"Thank you, for what you do for the community" :) Merry Christmas Kev
Since 15th had 2 $100-vtg shag metal folding chair & 70s wooden doll house kit and 1 $300 new boat pump all came from free storage cleanouts. Paid my time and fump fees.
I am a 40hrs a week working and #reselling & THANK YOU for pointing out that it is a lot of work to do both. I hope everyone is doing well with sales and may we all have a blessed 2024 ! I want to make it to the big #resellersmeetandgreet in #2024 so I need the sales prayers 🙏🏿
gemeni-dreams
Hey Kevin, congrats on the sales. I'd personally prefer to make $20 profit on a small item than large electronics. I try to stay away from most electronics. The return rate seems to be high and yes as you mentioned more difficult to ship.
Sold a reel to reel tape machine. Picked up on a lot of 2 with a bunch of tapes for $50. Sold for $285….and the buyer drove an hour plus and picked it up!
My best sale this month was a Wusthof Classic Ikon 4-Piece steak set. Paid about $5. and sold for $300. I could of held out for $350 to $390. but saw they were also a reseller, so left some meat on the bone for someone else to be blessed.
Our best sale was a Goodwill find. My wife and I went to a new Goodwill Grand Opening in the area and she found 2 vintage Holt Howard Christmas Santa mugs for $.99 each. We sold them within 24 hours for $600 for the pair!
Over last 3 yrs had 4 friends want to partner with me in the storage life for reselling. Still friends but none could handle what I do. List bay 100-200/wk, buy 1 or 2 units a week and sell at fleamarket 2 day wk. Told last guy was a general contractor for 12 yrs, this is the hardest work I've done.
3rd week November to 3rd week December = best time of year for me last 3 .
Thank you. I love re-selling. Merry Christmas to you and your family. I enjoy your videos.
I pray that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas.Have a safe and happy New Year, 🙏🙏 Keep following your dreams.
Best of luck to everyone in the coming year in whatever you do, Thanks for all your knowledge....
Thanks!
Merry Christmas, Kevin, to you and your lovely family. Thank you for the past year of helpful and fun videos and we are looking forward to your next reselling adventures in 2024.
My daughter remined me of the time her Furby starting chatting in the middle of the night (these toys had a habit of randomly making sounds). She was elementary school age, she started yelling, woke me up, I was so tired, I took the batteries out of the Furby, threw it in her closet and went back to bed. (you had to be there)
It’s Christmas Day! Merry Christmas to you and your Entire Families🎄🎄💜🤗♥️🇺🇸🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Stay Safe and Positive Always. Kel
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 blessings
i thought it was gonna be “i make my car payment on time, every month”
or
“yea, seriously. re-selling pays all my bills”
😂
it will get better guys.
work hard!
carry on, or don’t.. do what you love as often as you can, value your time, and get what your worth that might be reselling, but this can apply to everything.
good luck
My best sale was on a hockey jersey I bought this fall for $5 and it sold Friday for $180 + shipping!
Merry Christmas, glad tidings
thanks, man 👍
Any time!
I just sold a metallic orange scream mask on offer of $99.00 paid $2 best sale of the month by far and November/December we’re definitely down by 30% compared to last year! July was definitely my best month this year. Thanks for all the great suggestions and information you have provided it has definitely helped my sales -Ronni Treasures_and_Wishes
Merry Christmas!
Hope you had a good Christmas. Thanks for all the videos.
Best find was a box of 1950s-1960s clothing for $25. There were 4 champion sweatshirts which i sold collectively for $600. A couple champion tshirts and jerseys, and a pair of senior cords from 1969 that i sold alone for $700! I made over $1k off of $25. This was probably my best single find, but i have had a ton of great finds in the last 8 years doing this.
Best deal 250 dollars for a car full of creative memories mostly new. I will be selling much of this over time. The 2 12x15 albums went fast.
nice
Um a caregiver for 3 Senior citizens and and a single dad wth 3 kids under 13..i had to do something i can do mostly from home..my beat salw in December was 2 bottles of Ladies Jovan Musk i picked up in the fall for 50cents each..both sold for 80 each..it was rare and both buyers were super pleased...tganks for the validation and education!
Merry Christmas, I bought a Schaefer vest for $1.60 at a thrift store and sold it for $65.
Just the opposite for me! I'm off my 50 hr a week job starting today for a vacation week and I'm listing full time for the week! I got a goal of 50-100 new items listed each day....
Merry Christmas To All ❤
God bless you and your family , happy holidays.. luv your videos...👍
Merry Christmas 🎁. Good information. And ever so glad it's been good sales sales 😊
Mine is making enough money to help pay for our son's college tuition. He is a senior and in the next few days we will make the payment for his final semester. He attends a 4 year private college where he is receiving a very large scholarship, but we have been able to pay for the rest of his schooling outright. He will graduate and neither of us will have any student loan debt. Reselling is fun for me and helps make things possible. Thank you for your videos Kevin and blessing to your family this Christmas season
Awesome
Merry Christmas to you Kevin and your family! 🎄
You do a great job. As a seller and a teacher. Thank you.
Watching Christmas night 11pm in Atl. Thanks, Kevin. Happy Christmas to all. Rest, recover, restore! You gotta put the oxygen mask on first. :-) Thanks all you do.
Merry Christmas to all of you!!
Sold a sealed vhs $79 free ship
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hard to find good games at Goodwill anymore. Sold a 1968 stock market game for $50 that cost $1.
Best sale was actually my daughters. She found a High value watch box at a thrift store & bought it for $8 and sold it for $200. It was an amazing sale for her and I was a more than proud Mama of al she has learned and achieved, it is hard work but fun work most days. I wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New year.
Hey great show Kevin keep on picking!! JIMBO
Merry Xmas to you all, hope you have a day filled with kindness, love and laughter
I have been having the best month I have had in years. The key, I think is consistency in listing. I end and sell similar 6 old listings a day, and list 6 new ones also. I used to use drafts and now I use both drafts and the scheduled listing tool. I think that having all of your listings start at the same time helps somehow in the algorithms.
Great Video and great Sales! Congrats! Too bad I missed the damn it Trump Doll-Would had love to of had one. Merry Christmas again🎄🤗💪♥️🇺🇸🙏
Merry Christmas mate hope you and your family have a nice Christmas break 👍
Reseller and retiree here. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas! Reselling is such a passion of mine! I'll never go back to working for anyone else! I'm very fortunate that I have the ability and support to do this full time. I applied on dibdit but funny thing is I just took all my vintage toys and memorabilia off my Ebay store to put in my antique booth 😂 So if ya do come across my application.. oops 🤣 Hopefully it's fine. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
My best two months of the year were July and September. 4th Quarter until the last few weeks has been abysmal. December has rebounded from November but still not great. Now is the time to work the death pile and empty my storage unit.
Its Christmas Day - hope you had a good day with Family Kevin. Thanks for supporting me this Holiday season on whatnot.
Our New Years resolution is for the wife and I to work as a team to make 2024 better then 2023.
As much as I like reselling, due to health issues, I have decided to retire. I closed all my stores on Christmas day. Hopefully, that will be the best Christmas gift I give myself. I sure am going to miss it but it is a lot of work and I was getting way too stressed causing very high hypertension. Needless to say, I will be living vicariously through your videos and others I watch. Keep up the great work.
Happy Retirement
On the 19th i sold a pair of Dalbello Ski boots for $249.99......picked them up for $14
I hope you are having a great Christmas day with family ❤😊
Deck of tarot cards for $200, they were free…
I’ve only been reselling for about 4 months on eBay and 3 months on PoshMark. I’ve been dragging around a bunch of inherited stuff from my parents & grandparents homes. No one else in the family wanted it but guilted me into never getting rid of it. No more! I gave them one last chance to take what they wanted. I’m selling what is left. I’ve paid storage on it for years or hauled it from home to home. I’m downsizing and selling what I can and donating what I can’t. Only made about $1,000 so far but I’m not out any money on purchase price. December sales were horrible but in January I’m going to list, list, list. Once everything I already have is listed, I’ll start sourcing and picking. But this has shown me just how much I love it. May be a hobby or my primary income, I don’t know yet. But I know I can do it now and I enjoy it. Thanks to resellers like you who taught me and gave me the courage to at least try. My best pick (sorta) was a sterling ring I won on a WhatNot Giveaway and sold for $50.
November was my best month by far, but I also took most of December off because we have been hit by the "plague" lol. So mostly due to my lack of effort.
The shopping part in the best part. Others parts not so much I have a huge complaint where I lost all my money on Mercari with fed ex shipping and since I use a store scan system I do not have any receipt of weight now I will only use usps…which is considerably higher. Will cost me sales.
Best sale this month was a pair of Nike Air Foamposite in Hologram Black. Bought for $11 at Goodwill in September and sold for $160 plus shipping this month! Was also my first item to go through eBay's Authenticity Guarantee process. I started my current reselling journey 6 months ago in mid-June 2023 and this was our largest sale to date. My first over $100 sale was at the beginning of November, beat that at the end of November and this sale was on Dec 4th. December is also our biggest profit month so far! Thanks for all your content, love the videos from both channels and have learned a lot.
Been watching for quite some time. Full time Special Education teacher, foster parent, single parent and I sell on eBay for fun. I have been doing it since 2010!
My best December sale was vintage Christmas dresses I got for $12 for both and sold for $70.
Selling online is a full time job for me. This is my only source of income. You are right, it is a lot of work but I do enjoy doing it. Best part is I'm my own boss. One of the best finds for me is finding a redline hot wheel for $1 and sold it for $120. Merry Christmas!
What size is your shed?
Can u explain the reason beanie babies and precious moments are worthless. I don’t know the reason and I want an understanding. If not no problem. Merry Christmas
I think they were just mass produced resulting in lower value but folks seem to think they are valuable, thousands of dollars for beanie babies on eBay🤦♀️
A lot of precious moments collectors are getting older and downsizing or just dying... like the collector plate collectors before them and so on. Beanie babies was just a fad, and way overproduced. People couldn't afford to keep up and collect them all.
December is shaping up to be our best month this year as well. Best sale last week was a lot of Sterling Silver spoons for $810
Hey Kevin is it true that the shirt and hat a resellers wears are the ones that wouldn't sell in their store? Merry 4th quarter 🎉
I’m only in this video a minute and a half and wanted to say thank you! As someone who does this as a third job, I’m tired 😂 but I also love it!
Nice thank you
I quit two terrible jobs this year and reselling has kept me going but it’s not enough for me. I have finally found a new job and it’s better than what I would have taken because reselling gave me the opportunity to be picky. I’m still going to be reselling at the same level because I love it and it’s the best side job because you get what you put in. I sell a good deal of things that would fit with your market place but the audience I have on any of my channels wouldn’t bring much value. My best find last week was a vintage my little pony for fifty cents it looks to be selling for $30-$50.
Best sale was today. A First Blood VHS made in 1982 sealed with a small tear in the back. Bought for 45 cents sold for 350
December was strong for me, even on Christmas Day. My best sell in December was a sealed police precinct board game, picked for $10 sold for $129.99.
👍🙂
i sold a Ronda Rousey auto/relic card that i picked up for $175 and sold it for $750
My 4th quarter sales didnt hit until December but have been amazing all month. I sold a set of 5 World of Tomorrow hardcover books for $175. I also sold twp 5-piece Oneida sterling silver flatware sets on Christmas Eve for $100 each. I bought 50 pieces at my local Goodwill for 25 cents each.
I'm a full time educator part time reseller and my friends are super supportive and get the work it takes. They know when I come home I'm either photographing or listing. Lol
Yes I watched it was an awesome video ❤
Kevin, anyone who wants to criticize the job you do BAFFLES ME! Beyond reselling, you're recycling! I am not a reseller but enjoy learning the ins and outs of your world. Don't pay attention to all noise. You and your family are carving out a life for yourselves and it's fun to watch! Wishing you and your family the best in the coming year!❤
what zeppmom said
Until District accepts PayPal for auctions, this buyer only will remain off the site. Best of luck growing Dibdit!
What’s BOLo stand for?
Be on the lookout
@@commonwealthflipper thanks!! I also googled it. 😃
Sold a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon for $90 on eBay! December is definitely my best month this year!
❤❤❤
Danbury Mint Georgia Bulldogs Christmas Ornament. Bought for $2.99 at Goodwill and sold for $125 plus shipping. Same day bought a Tennessee Volunteers one for $2.99 and sold for $85 plus shipping. Both sold immediately after posting.
My best sale was a $10 purchase of an old video camera that I sold for $175. Super stoked!
1978 Paul Stanley Kiss costume $200 plus shipping paid two dollars.
So one week before Christmas me and my wife got COVID. I immediately closed my store. I dreaded it but in the long run looking back it was the best....at least for me. I work full time and resell part time. Sales were doing great but were starting to slow down when I got it. So the rest has been much needed. Hope when I open back up this week sales won't be affected but I figure it will be. Been doing this for 3 and half years now and this is my first extended time off. Only thing I am upset about is I missed family that came down to visit here in Florida and I couldn't hook up with them.
Does anyone know how long the ebay app has had the image search along with the bar code search?
I've been listing on ebay for years, but I don't recall the 'image search.'
I’ve used it for at least 3-4 yrs I believe I could be mistaken. You mean when you take a photo and it pulls it up if there’s any listed? Maybe 7-8 yrs
@@Kelly-nd3cz yeah that’s what I mean.
I was afraid of that actually
all this time I could’ve been taking photos instead of looking it up through the keyboard.
@@johnjeffreys6440 yet not always does it work though keep that mind. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to your Entire Families🎄Stay Safe Always♥️🇺🇸🙏
@@johnjeffreys6440I find it doesn’t work very well. I use google lens and then search sold comps from there.
I sure wish I would have bought one of those trump dolls. They made me happy.
Two weeks ago I found a Patagonia Level V military jacket on the Goodwill rack for $5.19. Listed it, turned down 4 offers, and sold it in two days for $350. Goodwill has gotten tough but the gems are still out there.
November this year has been my best month with December currently creeping up on March for 2nd place. We'll see what happens in the next few days. My best sale happened on Christmas day. I accepted a $225 offer for a partial board game set from my personal collection. It basically pays for the original cost. But it's a win for me because I'm getting a brand new upgrade of the complete game in the near future. On the rare occasion, it's not about making money. It's about the joy. (Overall, this reselling year has done very well money wise, though. 😊)
I have a receiver here that I picked up for free. Should sell for about $60.00. I have had it for months and I haven't listed it yet because I dread packing it up 🤣🤣
My best sale was a pair of military extreme weather Mickey Mouse boots I bought for $16 and sold for $110.
Been reselling for bout two years..was wondering if there is any other good apps to sell stuff on?? Right now only use eBay.thank you
I’m not a reseller, but I enjoy watching you !
Thank you for watching. We appreciate it
@@DDG683 , I’m retired, I have so much in my house, I wish a reseller would have gone through, before I gave so much away, I still have stuff. I’m in Lehigh Valley, Pa
I'm lucky I'm retired and I sell on ebay I'm loving it thank you I love your channel keep it up
It's not easy, there was no media selling when I did reselling, I sold at the flea market on the weekends and worked a 40 hour week, and then gave it up, as hubby and I did foster parenting, that's a hard job also, the system is broken 😊
I watch your vids at home and look at your ebay store. There was nothing there, today Dec 26th. Was that intended?
Yes taking a week off
@commonwealthflipper fantastic! Happy new year to you and yours!
