Very well done vlog. You can tell you have followed and studied many professional vloggers and your poker lingo and verbiage is quite impressive as a newcomer. Great work, keep it up!
Very professional vlog. You give good analysis of your play and thought process. Keep at this, Gil, and you WILL succeed - both in poker and vlogging. :)
Hey man, this was a great vid. Im 21 and I started playing seriously last year when I was 20. In january I started playing 1/3 at my local casino. I wish you the best of luck and hope you are successful!
Damn, when i saw the views on a 2 weeks old vid from a new vlogger i didn't understand how it was possible. But after watching it all makes sense, great job. Looking forward to more content
As someone who’s the same age and has played lots of online poker, I would kill to be able to move down to Texas for 3 weeks lmao. Amazing video, the quality was that of professionals and you amazed me with your first vlog. I will for sure be back man.
Great vlog - love the way you narrate your videos as well, great expression in the voiceover and really engaging. Only tip would be to try and look at the camera a bit more when you're in vision, but that'll come with time. Keep it up man!
This was one of the best vlogs I've seen in a long time. You going to do awesome bro now's the time to do it best of luck I subscribed to watch your journey
@@ImPurpura the only inheritance i got from my dad is spiritual. i know im lucky to be born in America, so if that's what you're upset about, i get it. but ain't nothing been handed here, i promise you that.
Great vlog! Your explanation of your thought process is very insightful. Personally, I would find it helpful if you talked just a tad slower, especially when explaining a tough decision.
Nice play and vlog! My only input would be to edit out the audio from your phone if/when you are not talking to other players or there is something worth listing to. I’m nitpicking, but was a little distracted when we kept hearing the guy on the PA system talking. Great job! I subbed!
brother this was a great video. Btw, those hands bro 🤣🤣🤣 incredible. Played with my friends the other day and dude getting these hands back to back to back is incredible. Would love to play with you someday bro. Kepp the grind on baby
This is you're first vlog? This video seems like you have been making video's for years. And you have lots of skill on the felt. Definitely gonna be following man
Great video, man! You earned a new subscriber. Might I just make one recommendation that your graphics include larger suit icons? All I can really see on my phone is the numbers. Great stuff though! Can’t wait to see more.
Just found your channel! I’m 21 and from UK and love playing Texas hold em! It’s my dream to come to Texas and play!! Looking forward to following your journey😃😃
Man you are living the dream! Playing well in this vid, I'm here for the journey! I'm working on saving up a bankroll to go play 100nl online or 1/2 live. Hopefully within 6 months I'll have about 5k to run with
Very nice video, I am poker novice myself too. I have been also doing some studying and your journey can be nice motivation to me :) I just wanted to ask about raising to 20 from UTG with monsters when your opponents always call I felt like you could have sized up like 25-35. Keep up the good work !
Nice Vlog. I'll continue watching. From an old fella who grinds it out, bankroll management is key bud. The Poker Goddess Varyance is a fickle lady. Good luck and grind on.
If your standard pre flop raise is $20 and your getting called by half the table add $5 for each player left to act. This will get you three things. One you win a lot of blinds preflop without a fight and you will play a lot more pots heads up. On the rare occasion you do get raised you know your likely behind.
Great first Video! New sub...isn't CA 21+ for poker rooms? I live in CA, and that's what I thought...either way, lots of great action san jose north...beat of luck!
I like the video man! When you’re recording yourself in your back yard you look like you’re looking way off camera. Apart from that some of your sizing was just way too small. Like your UTG open, make it bigger than 15 and you’ll have less callers. There was also a time on like a 100 pot someone bet 15, you raised to like 40 or something. Maybe make that bigger in texas. Either way I like the graphics man keep it up
7:53 Whenever someone tells you they folded a certain hand, take what they say with a grain of salt. In regards to why he may have not wanted to 3bet preflop: 1) He's not very good 2) He is likely scared of a 4bet and not being able to realize his equity when you bluff or have 2 overs. 3) He may not want to commit his stack with a "trouble hand" like JJ 4) He may be intimidated by you (a TAG raising from UTG who is more skilled than him)
A TAG style? Doubt it. Didn't like the way he played hand #1 and obviously will need to make some adjustments but with his general playing style he should absolutely crush Texas 1/2 (and potentially higher).
Maybe worth mentioning; what kind of image you think your opponents have of you. Tight or loose? I get the impression you play pretty tight, but that's just from the hands you highlight
I just moved to Dfw from NY and action is crazy in Texas remember what ya think should happen doesn’t usually happen game is 1/2 but with deeper buy in games play bigger amd people tend to float and under rep hands
Always great to see a young poker player learning the game from vlog 1. Wish you all the best 👍
Much appreciated!
LET'S GO GIL. Excited to follow along on your journey
Thanks boys🙏 I'm beyond excited
Love that you show the busted hands and hands where you don’t hit a draw. Keep it up man!

Glad to see a young poker player living the dream. It's inspiring maybe one day I could turn pro. Currently at NL 10 online.
I still remember my first poker session at 18. didn't have the courage to go pro like you did though! GL Gil! gonna follow along!

And postflop you over-repped your hand by check raising. Just bet.
Pretty good for 18 man!
I’m in australia and you can play at 18 pre much everywhere here, I got like 5 months till my birthday and then Ima go play my heart out
This kid is going to get absolutely wrecked playing that style in Texas.
A TAG style? Doubt it. Didn't like the way he played hand #1 and obviously will need to make some adjustments but with his general playing style he should absolutely crush Texas 1/2 (and potentially higher).
I must have missed the 44 hand originally. Didn't like that too much either, but still overall think he should wreck these games.
So many preimums how long was your sesh
been looking for new poker vlogs, great vid and action, be careful chasing those flushes you can lose a lot on those.
Nice play and good video
Put a clock on your hands so we know how long in between hands that you play. Or…..don’t, but it’d be a lot cooler if you did.
hey! wondering how you get a bank roll to fly out to a state for a few weeks and play 1/2 at only 18 years old?
He lives in a house in LA it’s called mommy and daddy.
Maybe worth mentioning; what kind of image you think your opponents have of you. Tight or loose? I get the impression you play pretty tight, but that's just from the hands you highlight
Surprised you dont get more credit on your bluffs. Maybe just the way it goes in low stakes, and in Texas to boot!
