Good fold with AQs. For me in general I’m staking off with AK and folding AQ to a shove… of course if I know the player or situation well or am very deep that can all change… but that is basically my rule of thumb. Three bet AQ usually but don’t call three and four bets with the hand. AK I typically just turn into Scarface.
You jam pre your hoping for 2 hands like those more then likely your up vs AK and you gotta get lucky It sucks seeing the run out but fold probably the right play
Don’t worry about the AQs hand. I think that’s a pretty clear fold. It’s being a little results oriented after seeing you would’ve won. Not your fault the BB went crazy with 22, and JJ is probably the worst hand the SB will ever show up with there. Against a realistic 5bet shoving range and a call, AQ is in TERRIBLE shape. P.S. I’ve really been enjoying your poker vlogs bro keep up the great work.
Been watching your videos and I gotta say you are a tremendous talent both as a young poker player and content creator. Just one suggestion as an owner of a media company, mix up your terminology a bit, you over use the term “I make it xxx dollars TO GO”, and it can get very repetitive for the watchers when we watch multiple videos, replace the term “to go” a few times and it’ll increase the watchability by quite a bit!
Folding the AQ for $400 more versus two players I believe was the correct decision. There's simply no way to know both opponents simultaneously lost their minds.
AQ is a fold, your behind their a majority of time. SB SHOULD (doesn’t mean they will) have a much stronger raising range than you and once the BB called, it’s dead. That smooth call is always with JJ+. Plus, heads up, your a coin flip vs 22s and behind against JJ. In no way we’re you ahead no matter what. Seeing the run out just gives a false sense of FOMO. You did good bro
Though decisions, but what's why I just enjoy chilling and watch your vlog. So glad I stumbled upon your channel, and happy to see you already seem to gain some traction!
overcall from the bb is actually good for aqss i think u can rejam and iso since hes pretty capped, yes he can have ak but i think his range consists of 10ss 99s jjs usually, thats the read i had before i saw the cards
AQ hand is such a tough one, can totally see your logic and reasoning but if you called your logic for the call would also be sound. I think I’d lean towards a call in this instance but it is what it is. Great vlog again really enjoying your videos.
A-Q is one of the most difficult starting hands in poker, especially if suited. The 1st mistake you made is not your raise (which I like) but the size of the raise. Usually 3 1/2-4x raise is high enough to get small pairs out/ mediocre hands out. The best benefit is if yo are raise, like you were, you can fold affordability. All I could add is if you know your opponents can make a move or your hot you make the call. My worst A-Q story cost me over 3 grand. With A-Q of hearts, 1st better goes $40, I raise to $100 then get called by 2 opponents. The flop hits 4h-4s-3h. The 1st guy bets $100, I call, then the next guy goes $400. First guy fold and now I’m in the blender. I know he don’t have trip and it’s unlikely A-K, so I think he’s got a pair. Then I think if my hand good enough to call $400 it better be good enough for all my chips; so I shove back at him for about 2 grand (hoping it may get the fold). He takes a few minutes and calls. Turn goes 4h-4s-3h-10c which doesn’t help me. River time; 4h-4s-3h-10c-5h!! Wee-Haw!, I flip my cards over and say nut flush!! He turns his cards and say “nut full house” and shows me a pair of 5’s. He called a $1,600 raise with a lousy pair of 5’s and I got to pull the horseshoe out of his ass as he hit the boat. The all-in was a sound play as I was almost a coin flip before the turn (53%~47%), but got burned on the river. That’s my worst A-Q story.
@@giljackpoker respectfully, I disagree. A good player has to call that bet, it’s as you said “suicidal.” Fortunately the player was playing scared money but with top pair, the straight blocker and a redraw to potential nuts, and so much already invested, any decent player has to call. Unless you knew he was playing scared money (which you didn’t mention in your consideration) and didn’t have AJ (which you already said was totally in his range) that was actually a BAD time to bluff vs a decent player who is properly bankrolled.
AQs is always a fold there according to GTO but sometimes you have to re evaluate based off the players.. many times I fold the best hand to massive shove thinking they are nutted but it's about finding your spot. this could have easily went the other way around as tilted players always shove with big pairs - AK. with a bigger bankroll + if the game was good as in players aren't leaving the table with the money and good action then it is an easy call. in cash games where you don't know anybody it's better to be conservative and finding that angle
you play a hand with another vlogger funky punts. I’m like OK let me check this guy out. Then you say he blind raised to 15 and calls three bet to 50 and then I said no never mind. Lol
I fold the A-Q hand also because it is not that great a hand, especially with two opponents all in. Even though you would have won the hand does not mean that you made the wrong decision. Playing catch-up is hardly ever a good move.
Jam so u go heads up or side pot

Are there gonna be anymore gang videos
17:15 I’ve never played a game of poker where the dealer cuts three cards out then burns one before the flop
Interesting observation. I didn’t notice that on the first watch.
Dealer obviously shouldn’t be burning after cutting the three flop cards. Weird.
@@nicholi2789 right?!? I would be very upset haha
He just burned the turn card
Raises 40 pre then checks. Lol..dude if that doesn't scream AA, then I don't know what does.🤣🤣
Good food with ace queen 75 percent of the time they are showing up with qq or better with a 5bet shove.
would love to see you at a San Diego Casino poker room....there's a couple 18+ casino's here that you can play at....
Really? Which ones? Would love to come down there
@@giljackpoker Jamul Casino and Sycuan Casino are both 18+ for their casinos/poker rooms. Both in San Diego County
Mannnnn I just looked and they are both 21+😔
@@giljackpoker are you sure? I could have sworn at least Sycuan was 18+......
They call AQ the parking lot hand for a reason
Hey were did you get your phone holder for the table? I definitely need that

AQ easy fold vs 2 players All In over $600…gotta put one of them AA or KK
I would of folded the ace queen yo bro hard to say not being at the table but thats a tough call
Woah, I’m early!! Keep up the hustle kid!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the vid

I think the jam or fold are both fine. Great job Gil 👍 keep it up

AQ Fold.
Having great understanding of the game at 18 is impressive. However, constantly hiding your cards between your stack and your left hand is shady AF
That was a good fold with AQ. Hard to do it but could have gone the other way
Early here, just want to say you are easily one of if not the best poker vlogger out there. Keep up the good work
Wow thank you! That means a lot🙏
Ship it in. It’s 1/2 or whatever. Scared money blah blah

Good fold on the AQ
Great read and play on that 77 hand! Definitely higher lever play
Thank you man! Glad my read was right

🔥 would be interesting to see some hands against brad at the lodge 😈
One day🥲
yeah I'm not calling AQs unless I know player tendencies thats wild people are doing these kind of donkey plays.
AQ hand is tough but with 4-1 odds idk if I could’ve folded preflop
good fold brother
You made the right fold!

Also lol at showing him an ace as a “needle”. You’re just telling everyone you had Aces or A/Q.
great vlog though

Best case scenario with AQ you're exactly 50/50. I probably fold there too. There's no point in putting your $ in on a flip.
Lots of guys show their hands. No one does in AC.
Correct fold. You were behind.
Can’t call there for sure
Yeah I think its a good fold in the long run too. Just was so confused by the BB call haha
Your analysis for both good and bad hands was spot on. Great work.
Nah I'm folding there. But I may not have 4 bet even tho it's prob the right move.
man you talk too fast can't follow your hands
Good fold on the AQ. Those players are brain dead lol
Thanks. Very weird spot
