- Yamaha has designed this series of boats to be the definition of versatility on the water in a jet boat. The Family Sport Hybrid (FSH) is configured with the avid angler in mind, but all major areas of the boat are designed to easily convert to family and social areas while the poles are stowed. She is designed for fishing in the morning, snorkeling or tubing in the afternoon with kids, plus cruising and entertaining anytime.

Good vid. Thanks for the info. Looks like Yamaha has taken the jet boat to a whole new level.
Thank you! It really is a fantastic jet boat!
Great review ! Nice to see
new reviewers ! Hope to see her more and more !
Those YAMAHA are great boats !
No wonder they sell like crazy !
Bullet proof engines !
I own them since the 90's !
so many advantages
with turbines !
Thank you! We are very happy introducing Capt Shelley and she's learning the ropes from Capt Steve in the team. Thanks for sharing your Yamaha experiences! We are very excited about this one.
I owned a Yamaha LS2000 for many years that I highly customized and absolutely loved. After seeing this 222 FSH review, this will be my next boat. The articulating keel is a nice addition and needed for choppy waters, but you won't be able to spin the boats like before. Just crank the outside throttle as you give steering input and it's 360 time! So much fun...
i'm in the market for this fsh and a key west or seahunt cc. which engine is easier to maintain and which would last longer? the yamaha jet drive or a yamaha outboard? the swim platform is my fav feature of these jet boats
Can you share the information on the Trailer. I can't find anything on it. What is the Trailer GVWR, payload, hitch/tongue weight, and trailer dry weight. Thank you!
This is an awesome boat. My question is can you sit down with driving the boat, or do you have to stand while driving? The bench seat looks a little high, and back to sit down while driving
We ordered ours last month. Excited for sure
For just a little more you could have gotten a 252
@@v2skeeder 10k more, we did think about it but went 22 sport E for now.
@@Georgia4Low what was your out-the-door price?
Whats happened to Capt Steve ??
I want one
Trolling motor location, canvas for colder weather, jet propulsion is more expensive on gas.
than what? 35 mph at 2.2 MPG
isnt the boat shown the sport E?
correct sport E in this blue colorway
@@itr0863 you didn’t mention it was the sport E until halfway through the video and the video is titled Yamaha 222 FSH the difference in the two (222 fsh and sport E) is over 6k
@@Miami_Chris spot on
I hope they quiet these boats down the exhaust is loud as hell
i'm in the market for a 20-22 ft cc and i really love the rear swim platform area for family fun etc, but i'm afraid the engine noise is too much. its still on my list along with a seahunt 219 ultra and key west 203 family sportsman. i'm 50/50 between the fsh and the seahunt/keywest. i can't decide. which is more reliable and will last longer? the yamaha jet drive or a yamaha outboard?
@itr0863 it's not bad when ur idling or cruising real slow. Honestly you do get alot of boat for the money mine was a jet
thanks for the reply buddy!. i appreciate it. it really seems like a do it all boat. im not a avid fisher but would go every now and then with my dad and kids. so i feel the fsh is perfect for the occasional fish but primarily a family boat@@patriot-wf1er
@@itr0863 It's not the exhaust that's loud just simply a jet drive engine...it's how jet skis are too. Sure it's not quit like a boat with a muffler but it's also 30% less cost then those boats new.
I wonder how this boat would do in salt water. I’m thinking reliability/durability.
It was tested in florida
You think they are on a lake? Christ.
We have had two of these plus a couple of jet skis they never had any big problems only really small ones normal with boats. We used all of these in salt water. Never had any problems to do with salt, just gotta flush em. They don’t get as many hours as an outboard.
🛳️⚓️🛥️🤙🔥
too bad there was no mention of a step to get onto and stay in the seat. I can see you leaning against the seat, but I think that's because it was too tall. the foot rest was on the ground. As I am 5'2" looks like this would be too high of a seat for me with my feet dangling.
Nice review, just one thing I dont get. Why do you talk about miles per hour? It is a boat. Boat speed is measured in knots.
Because most people whether they are familiar with boating or not understand MPH.
Understanding the formula makes them interchangeable. Knots to MPH = Kts x 1.15. MPH to Knots = MPH x .868.
@@golden290 Yes the formula is easy. The issue is why boat manufacturers list their specs in mph. Speed limits on the water is in knots (unless it just says "no wake zone", distance is measured in nautical miles.
I have a really hard time believing this boat gets 2.2 mpg best cruise. I know she said the conditions were not ideal but the 25’ svho powered 255 came in at 2.1 mpg. Doesn’t add up. I would like for them to retest this for.l an accurate figure.
47 mph
There is so much floating seaweed everywhere that that will make it virtually impossible to drive this boat!!
Haven't had any problems
I’m gonna need to see some discharge papers or active orders stating captain status. Last I served, that was a rank.
Check out gale force twins. Both female captain s
