Why blower style isn't ideal for all (save for aesthetics) is a mystery. Blower FTW...in every system...except for a case completely water cooled...then maybe you could argue it. That is all. *Raises both arms and waves at crowd cheering below*

I have a GTX 1660 Blower PNY brand, it got 75C degrees maximum which isn't terrible, than I got a 1660 SUPER single fan for some reason, also PNY. It performs and cools great, but the fan sounds like a sawblade when it revs up under load, but other than noise, cards are great!

Wow, this all makes sense. I wonder if there’s something thin like a cooling pack of sorts that could be placed between the graphics cars to keep them cool. Like a cooling system but smaller.

I currently own a 2080ti PNY blower I've had it for 1 year now... I sat the fan curve to where it needs to be, 4k gaming all day long no problem no over heat, don't listen to those who claim blowers are garbage because they are not, even mine is over clocked 170core 700 on the memory and I never had an issue, set the fan curve right and make sure you have good airflow inside your case mine is an aurora r7 alienware

I've never had anything but a 1 fan Video Card so having one of these monsters I'd be curious to see how much heat is generated to the outside! I think the open fan design rather the Nvidia depicted and enclosed would likely be the most efficient since the air is not restricted being pulled in.

Simple and understandable, A work station using the Quadro a blower style is perfect, A gaming rig with multiple case fans and ventilation holes the Fan Gpu is plenty good so long as you are not building a mini itx system. Such a small space overheating could become an issue in a hurry.

It didn't surprise me to see a the marketing department of a company to grossly misrepresent the differences between two of their product types.
A high-end blower-cooled GPU sounds like a vacuum cleaner. You really need to get this down. If you don't particularly enjoy gaming while your mother or wife vacuums your room you probably don't want a blower.
-You don't want blowers in anything that has to be in the same room with people. The blower is for strict airflow direction and not for cooling efficiency. Even in small form factor systems, it's usually a good idea not to go with whatever particular card you wanna use if you cannot use a version with an axial cooler on it. Nvidia's founders of the last two generations are a really good hybrid between the two types and are surprisingly good for SFF builds btw.
-Blowers are for density. You can slap 8 blower cards on a workstation board and render an animated movie or something. The key point here is that once you start the rendering you leave the room because there isn't any more user input required lest there be errors and enterprise hardware has ways to let you know from afar. In contrast, you don't leave the room when you play video games.

i m using a blower design gpu. They have three disadvantage.First of all , they are much more louder than fan.My friends telling me a hoover sound coming.Secondly it demands more cleaning. All air passes from single part and all dust also fills there. Also temperature goes a little higher than fan version.

How about electric ignition of combustible gasses? Is there one of these fans that would work for an airbrush paint booth exhaust fan? If the electric motor that powers the fan comes in contact with combustible thinner fumes there could be an explosion. I need a fan or blower that would be suitable for air brush painting.

I had an R9 290X with a blower fan and unfortunately, I then had to invest in water cooling (NZXT G10 with an NZXT X60) to quieten down what sounded like a jet engine every time I started to work the GPU.
I like how manufacturers are adding both AIO water cooling with up to 240mm radiators and water cooling blocks for custom systems as standard on some models.
