Alicia Keys Voice Crack Original Superbowl Broadcast Vs Official NFL Video
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 лют 2024
- During the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show, Alicia Keys joined Usher to perform her hit song "If I Ain't Got You." However, her voice immediately and embarrassingly cracked during the first second of the performance. This video presents a comparison of the original audio versus what was posted on the NFL's official UA-cam channel. Don't let them pull a fast one on us and cover up this embarrassing blunder!
Stupid upload.
pin of shame 🤭🤭
@@mads_0318 imagine thinking ANY of this is important. YOU ARE ALL DISTRACTED BROKEY TROLLS
We should be more concerned with the fact they are editing live auditions and live performances these days 🤣
It’s not these days, it’s always been. Nearly every popular artist (not just pop artists) have done this since the 80s
@@mynameiskrysta dannnng 👀
@@uco.7303 tv performances have been lipsynced since like 60s or ealier, easier to mix than live.
RIGHT !!!
We should all be more concerned that you're completely oblivious that they've been editing live performances for nearly as long as live broadcasting has been a technology and using vocal enhancements and assistance for live performances.
ok she's human - I'd rather listen to someone sing live - like they should be doing if they are a true vocalist - instead of lip syncing.
Defensive for what
@@flashfive12 what are you talking about???
@@katfleisch4473you’re being defensive for no reason. The video isn’t attacking her, just pointing out the difference between the two videos
Well, for what reason is this comparison shared, if not to shame someone? If you read the video description, it refers to Alicia's live performace as 'embarrassing '. So, perhaps there is good reason for the original poster to feel defensive. Art doesn't have to be about excellence. We are all fallible. No person is perfect. Regards, C.
@@Rex88808 Whoever posted this wrote: "Don't let them pull a fast one on us and cover up this embarrassing blunder". Yes they are attacking her. I don't give a shit about Alicia Keys but I'm a musician who also gigged for over 25 years and occasionally, my voice cracked. The clown, who I'm guessing probably has never sung a note in front of a audience, to take the time to make this video looks like a spiteful asshole.
Reminder: this can, will be, and has been done to all history.
I don't BELIEVE that's true...
@@hpscottcard124 : I don't mean to imply that ALL history has been changed, but that it's often changed to suit those with power by 'court historians'. We used to trust video evidence, but now that's just as easy to change as the written word was in the past.
@@urbanstarshipyeah, irony doesn't play well on the internet. They should have hit the edited version with an autotuner because in all universes she's still flat on those cracked notes.
@@hpscottcard124 : Ah, emojis were sorely need 😁
@@urbanstarshipif you didn’t want to imply that “ALL” history has been changed, you probably shouldn’t have said “all” in the original comment
I'd take a little voice crack any day as long as it's Live vocals . No lip syncing.
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
Yup, be it the 70s/80s or now. (Because lip syncing happened back then too)
That’s not the point. She and them are being disingenuous and hypocritical by editing it. Reinforcing that behaviour makes society worse. You either have a really low bar or the point went over your head
@@BeastNationXIVA LOT! Some even used prerecorded audio from old concerts for the final production.
@@anubis8586 What if you was her? Would you rather leave your voice crack in the video that will be uploaded to youtube? Or would you like that to be edited before uploading it? What would you decide?
I didn’t even notice that I was too busy singing along 😂

Goofy
you didn’t know what song it was before the first word. cap.
@@cringy7-year-old5 actuallyyyyyyy if you know the song you can tell by the beat (piano keys) 🤣
The original actually sounded better. Hitting that first note isn't always a given, even for professional singers.
True, and goes to prove also that super bowl uses live mics. They could have not bothered to edit it and we'd just move on from the voice crack 🤷
@@accelerator1260I always thought one of the stipulations for the Super Bowl performance was that it had to be lip synced
@@prismatism if you watched Black Eyed Peas perf you can tell it’s not 😂
@@prismatism I think yur confusing half-time with the national anthem 😅
It's her first line I believe, and it's immediately a fail; no wonder she's nicknamed Alicia Off-Key .
Kidding aside; she's probably just nervous and I cringed a bit when Usher got a bit too touchy with her; no editing can fix that .
It sucks how hellbent media is on erasing any kind of imperfections when all they're doing is making the artist seem less human...Some people want her to hit all the notes, but I don't 😔
I see what you did there
She never does anyway. Still like her music though.
I agree
Well said
Just like many famous women and their facial surgeries and fillers. Lose all of their authenticity.
how did they edit it so well tho 😭
I have same question. Off topic what do you think of the yes and remix with Mariah ?
@@andrewgarfield9898 ummm…. Its a remix for sure-
@@andrewgarfield9898 i wouldve rather her done a better song choice like pov or make a completely new song but its wtvr
They took the audio from a dress rehearsal. That's why the crowd in the background sounds so much louder in the beginning in the live clip.
@@butterflyera yeah I agree. I just wish she didn’t choose such a controversial song. Also the song isn’t even all that great to begin with. I just can’t stand Ariana right now after what she did
They also edited the “I don’t” part
Hot dang, you're right
That's the part I don't get. She hit that fine! Maybe that's just where it was easiest to split the two recordings.
They LITERALLY didn't. Scary that you all are walking the bum streets with an internet connection. Straight to hell
I think its nice to hear the voicecrack and know that the performance is real. makes her hitting the following notes all the more impressive
To me, the edited version just doesn't sound organic... it's almost like she's mumbling in place of the voice crack
it sounds just fine bobby, youre being dramatic
@jlemton6900 lol, just my opinion, I just noticed a little difference myself. But overall, it's not that big.
I mean, it's literally not organic...
@ontherun5627 yes, I got that lol But my opinion is, is that it sounds more off and out of place is I guess what I was trying to convey lol It would sound better if it was organic lol
@@BobbytheBongoPlaya Agreed!
Idk why nobody is talking about how impressive the edit is, it’s the cleanest tuning of a note I’ve ever seen
I don't think it's edited using pitch correction/autotune on the actual audio. They replaced the live performance audio with rehearsal audio for a few notes and then added a crowd cheering over it.
Thank you for this!!
People these days really want singers to sound just like the recording 🤦🏾♂️. Defeating the whole purpose of it being live music.
This a fake world. Everything needs to be fake everywhere
Wow they really edited that as if we didn’t all hear it live? That’s crazy. She’s freaking human and still sounded amazing despite that little flaw
You're right. She was singing without any backup vocalists or a track to sing over. People the next day were really mean about it. And still are apparently. If she okayed the edit, I completely support it. If I messed up and someone could swoop in and change it, I'd jump on that.
In my experience, the first notes of a song (especially if they're also the first notes of a performance) are always the easiest to mess up - even if you're warmed up, it's been several seconds or minutes since you last used your voice so it has to get into "gear" again. And I've seen a similar flub in the start of a different performance of hers (can't remember if it was "Empire State of Mind" or "Unthinkable"), so her voice in particular might be more prone to that issue.
But I think it's a shame they felt they need to edit it. It was such a short note, it would barely even be talked about, but by editing it they called much more attention to the mistake.
People at my school talked about it. They were really freaking mean, like she just sucked cause she messed up a note. I hope her inner circle was supportive the next few days.
It does sound funny. I could understand wanting to edit that. I wonder if it maybe happened cause her voice was tired or if she was little sick.
@@RoseETempest I hope they didn't bully her on her personal instagram at least...
That was nothing, this shit happens. Thanks though for the original
This is what she sounded like at the actual siper bowl performance
A friend of mine worked in a recoding studio back in the 80s and 90s. Immediately after any televised event like the superbowl etc.. there would be artists re-recording their “live” performances. Whitney Houston for example.
At least she actually sang and not lipsynched.
I’m just noticing the literal FIRE piano!!
I want that for my music room! 🔥
The fact that I watched it live and just listened to it on Apple music and didn’t notice is crazy.
There's a certain charm in imperfection❤

Voice crack is beautiful. She did her best! Beautiful performance!!
Makes you wonder what else has been “cleaned up” smh 🤔
Thank you and hopefully being the amazing artist she ownes up to it and just goes to show no one is perfect!!
I showed this to my 10yo nieces and they laughed so hard they ask me to show them this video everytime i visit 😂
Thanks for sharing the real-live mandela effect... just go to your library and witness the editing in real life...
Can't unsee that piano.
I didn’t realize this but we recorded it on out tv so we probably have the HD Voice crack
As RoomieOffcial once said...
"It's just a little pitchy."
it wasn't even that big of a deal. wow, this world.
U go keys u killed it! Love it love and direct! Nfl be crazy editing that out!
You would think this destroyed the entire performance with the attention it's getting. It is nothing
Dang I remember everyone commenting on how bad that opening line was but then I tried to watch it again and was like "oh thats not as bad as I remenbered." They tricked me 😭
Wow, imagine that...a professional singers voice cracks during a live performance. That's probably never happened before.
This is refreshing to learn. I've pretty much assumed that all the half time vocals were lip synced!
haha I saw this the day they were posted, I was like what !!
Why are people acting like this is the first and only performance to be cleaned up? They even cleaned up Usher’s first opening line cause he was a bit flat on the “brother”
Even the all time greats like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey had their moments like this.
Im glad that someone could prove this was live or live sounding
I'm shocked. 😨😨😨
So the original was transmitted live but They've changed it for the official youtube video?
Yes I heard the live version as it played on tv and everyone was talking about that first note. Seems now they’ll erase that from history
Her voice is getting scratch now and I love it. Saw her in Chicago in 2022 outside by the lake. Was a fantastic show. Glad she finally come to sing.
Same thing was done with the Rihanna super bowl. She was singing live for at least 75% of it. And in the Diamonds climax, they removed her voice and kept the backing track (hence the sudden shift in volume). But the original broadcast and the audience footage are completely different.
She was also very cold, which likely affects your voice, right?
They freaking edited it ☠️☠️🤦🏻♀️
She is not a strong live singer. We've heard this her whole career. Some folks are just studio singers. Usher kills live & covered for her as much as he could; she looked great. She'll keep recording & making millions. Not many care about natural singers anymore. If they did folks like Jazmine, Ledisi, Jill and Faith would stay on top 10 charts until they retired from singing.
This is true, but I still think she might have been coming off a cold or something. She was shaky a couple times through the song in ways she usually isn't.
100% agree.
pitch wise it seems like they edited this entire clip except for “at all” 😭
Why do people care so much? Hardly anything live gets reuploaded unedited lmao. This is exactly why they did it
history will slowly get edited...this is the beginning.
I wished they didn’t change it! I loved how she recovered so fast.
“Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see”

If they can do that for one note, all of Mariah Carey's performance must be edited then.
literally trying to erase history 😭
Omg big deal 🙄. She still did okay, and she was singing live, unlike some of these newcomer wannabes
They’ve done this for decades now. And they use invisible autotune live as well. NPCs will never know.
This was so uncomfortable. I can imagine for her to watch :/
But we need to consider that she started singing the song already at the PEAK of the chorus. Which required a lot of vocal strength, breathing... Which is even worse to do when nervous. I mean, if she had sung a few lines of that song before, like "I've been there before...
that life's a bore... so full of the superficial..." and then (the chorus with more support and preparation).
but.... I don't know, just my vision.
Ministry of truth hopped on that
The original was super great, regardless!
We should all really chill about striving for perfection.
Perfect things feel dead
I can’t believe they changed it, and scrubbed the internet of the original. Wondering if they did the same thing to the history books…
Nothing escapes the internet
this description is sus
The real version has more emotional weight to it. Imperfections are beautiful.
I think there’s a charm and authenticity with the crack live. But I’m totally fine with tweaking it for the replay. I don’t think it’s analogous to photoshop. It’s more like fixing a typo, so it’s not distracting.
this feels like old youtube.
also, kinda eerie.
@JordanCadwell Reminds me of the Meow Mix Song Commercials from back in the day. Keep The Meow Mix Alive 😏
Don't compare her with most of the artist, her songs still have more complexity, and that demands more from her voice. Maybe her technique is not the best, but her style is unique.
So that means news broadcast can be edited too?
Yall think these people are robots? Theyre humans just like us
I was today years old when I found out this was a thing omg
The “don’t” was edited too.
I'm watching live with my family in Chicago, we def noticed....we also noticed Usher almost fell while skating. Live performances are always dice rolls--you just never know what's gonna happen.
She's still one of the greatest artist in history
Why I think the mistake was better than edit one.
The most surprising aspect of this, to me, is: This means she actually sang live. It wasn't lip syncing.
scary if you ask me
People are really determined to make sure this woman is embarrassed about one bad note forever. Geez
What? Because they showed the original? Get real. Lol. Smh.
We were all there.
Whoever picked on her was a hater
1984?
Y’ll are mad that wasn’t that bad as y’ll made it seem
She may have gone through an illness/flu/bronchitis etc and not fully recovered. Maybe she was tired. There are many reasons why this could have happened, it doesn't take away from her talent❤
she's still great! ❤
WE ALL HAVE OUR BAD DAYS💯💯💯💯
don't think those cracks are "embarrassing" at all just shows she's authentic
As no#1 lipsync / auto tune hater this makes me love her more
It’s still so good tbh it doesn’t effect the performance at all
So the half time show was aired live?? It was pre-recorded??
people trying to justify or glorify the mistake is really sad because it shows how much standards are dropped and that we as a population seem so happy with mediocrity. i've been to countless operas where the music is much harder to sing than this and i have never heard a mistake like that, often in pieces that are 3 hours long.
She’s not an opera singer. Next.
@@RITardNation I know. She’s not good enough to be.
so?
I watched it live and was bummed her voice cracked a bit, but it was still an awesome performance from her. I love Alicia Keys.
I thought I heard that
Thank you. Now why the hell did we need to hear the unprofessional unedited version on a video. Everybody edits their videos so I don't get it. Do y'all get a kick out of people's mistakes?
What? Lol.
Still sounded beautiful. No reason to edit.
I knew it , when I watched it live i heard that crack. When I rewatch it it was gone I thought i heard wrong so i was right 😊😊.. they shouldn’t have edited
she tryin to do a Sia but end up failing
Why did they edit it? It was live! It was real! Now it's fake like everything on social media....
