I'm loving the new Vitamin C it's gorgeous. Morning time, Snail essence; Vitamin C and the Aloe sunscreen 🧡🧡 The aloe sunscreen is still the one I have always repurchased since yeaaars. Creamiest texture ever. Simply perfect 🥰
This is so interesting, before this was a trend I've just naturally settled into this kind of routine through trial and error of figuring out what my skin likes. It's good to know I'm doing something right lmao
Because it's not really a trend. This is a basic thing most people do. Influencers just gave it a name so they have something to talk about and call it a trend.
Same! After a while, I just learnt that my skin copes best if I use exfoliants one evening, then let my skin rest and rehydrate and on the third day, I use my retinoids and on the fourth my skin gets to rest again and I'm not using active ingredients on those resting days. It's just common sense as well as observation on what works best for your skin. But of course, influencers have to make a "thing" out if it....
I’ve never heard of “skin cycling” before… I thought this was the norm? This coming from a 26 year old not on Tiktok 😂 But I basically switch my skincare products based on how my skin is feeling, & i exfoliate 2x a week. My skin type has changed in the past couple years tho so I am still figuring out wtf to do for it now. Used to be 100% dry & flaky all the time, now I am slightly dry, oily, & acne-prone 😬 Seriously, I get more acne now than I did as a teenager. It’s a conundrum.
@@tutalilly As a teenager I had cystic acne on my back & shoulders, but not very many spots on my face. Age 18-21 I basically had 100% clear skin unless it was the week of my period. Really don’t know what the heck happened 🤦🏻♀️
me too!! All the brands that are enthusiastically jumping on the skin cycling bandwagon are just selling a copious amount of non necessary ingredients, once one can tret every night exfoliation is redundant
@@baileydubs that is what puzzled me about the trend, if you cannot tolerate ok I guess you have to find a routine and ingredients that work for you, but skin cycling tret and using it every three days if not going to help it being effective, and throwing in a chemical exfoliant is going to compromise your skin barrier. And once that's messed up all this companies will sell an abundance of skin repair products you wouldn't have needed in the first place if you kept it simple
@@archeosr85 It's already weird with tret, and more or less completely useless when you use something as weak as retinol. But it does make sense as the Dr that started this trend also said that it is meant for sensitive skin, not just everyone, but that memo seems to have been lost in the hype.
So interesting! Outside the influence of the TikTok (but with the influence of James 😊💜), I’ve organically settled into a three day-ish cycle over the past year that is keeping my skin relatively free of breakouts, improving the texture, and is helping my barrier stay intact. I also change it up a bit when my skin feels like it needs something different.
Like a lot of people I really started getting into skincare during lockdown. It was quite overwhelming seeing all these skincare routines involving lots of products I never knew existed before. Thankfully I no longer feel pressured to use every active and serum out there and I'm glad the trend is moving towards more simple routines. The one product that has remained in my routine from the start is COSRX snail mucin 96 power essence. I wouldn't be without it now.
I have been skin cycling for years. Night 1 : exfoliate, Night 2 : retinol, night 3 : deep hydratation, usually a sheet mask and slugging. I am 42, so anti aging is a goal, but I also have a few breakouts now and then, and these 2% BHA works better for me than AHA. After two of these 3 days cycles, I do a stronger AHA+BHA mask, rince and do the hydrate/repair routine. My morning routine never changes : vit C, moisturizer, sunscreen. This is what works for me, and it allows me to incorporate vit C, retinol and exfoliation in my skin regimen without destroying my skin barrier.
Have used the cosrx snail serum and really liked it. It didn't break me out, seemed to hydrate and brighten. Just bought the cosrx snail moisturizer cream. omg! It is sooo good. My skin feels soft smooth and healthy in the morning. Im already thinking it's going to be a holy grail product for me. No breakouts, no problem with stinging when I over used my trentinoin and my skin is irritated. Just great feeling skin. Love it!
I saw her tiktok about it last month and I thought it was such a good idea! I have ADHD and I was constantly forgetting when and what actives I used last, my skin was suffering from such a sporadic routine. It has helped me so much!
I have been using COSRX for almost two years now and love so many of the products. I will say that my absolute favorite right now is the Snail Essence because it is the only thing that helps my skin heal after using my prescribed tretinoin. Before using it my skin would be red, flaky, and dull but now it’s glowy and hydrated throughout the week!
Ugh I did it. I finally did it. I bought the whole damn kit. I turned 40 yesterday so happy birthday to me I guess. It only took you 3 years to get me to buy COSRX products James 😂 Can’t beat 40% off though! So excited to try it out! (But I still want to win the giveaway because I didn’t buy those items) 😉
I recently started using the Snail 92 All-in-One Cream & of course I love it!!! So thank you again James for singing the praises of COSRX & introducing me to another amazing product!
Yeah, I've heard of this. Long before it was called skin cycling too. I think Michelle from Lab Muffin Beauty Science has talked about a similar thing for years. Only this is not for me. When I do a slow easing into new active and my routine is not the same every day I always struggle with remembering where I am in the cycle. When I'm done and return to same thing every day I'm just so so relieved. This is just too complicated, it becomes a chore. For me the word "routine" itself means doing the same thing every day.
I was also concerned about remembering which days are what. So I just decided Tuesday & Friday nights would be my exfoliation nights & it's worked so far! Just an idea! 💕💕💕
Didn't know cycling was a thing. I just kind started doing that when I started doing more than wash and go. 2 nights retinol, 2 two nights exfoliate (one chemical or if I'm feeling a little more clogged a light physical) and the other three just a soothing serum. Thanks for always being so informative.
I've already been doing a kind of skin cycling. It's taken a bit of trial and error to figure out what works for my sensitive skin. I absolutely cannot use a bha/aha combo toner. My skin hates it! Day 1 aha. Day 2 bha and bakuchoil. Day 3 and 4 recovery . I love cosrx hydrium line for my recovery days!
I usually don't get on the skin care trends, but I altered my skin care into the cycling, and.........it changed everything. I had been battling with my retinol, could not for my life get to twice a week. But this somehow.......just works. I couldn't believe my skin wasn't falling off after exfoliating and then following the next day with retinol. But my skin is loving it.
I have been doing this for decades. In the 80's and 90's we called it "tricking your skin". That's why I don't look my age and the products I use work so well.
Yes! I've been wanting to try skin cycling and it's exactly what you are saying here - exfoliate night 1, retinol night 2, rest night 3. I also really want to try the snail serum. It's in my Amazon cart!
I love the Cosrx salicylic acid cleanser, a little bit goes a very long way. Then I use the snail essence and follow with the cica moisturiser. Simple and my sensitive skin loves it. Whenever I get a blemish I use the pimple patches which are amazing too! Cosrx is reasonably price and so good for the skin
I'm doing "cycle"for long time.but I'm leaving 1-2days of repair and moisture days between actives.i put reminders in phone calendar,so I don't forget to put my actives in the proper day.also pairing retinol with cica and squalene helps a lot))
I have been using Cosrx’s Low PH cleanser and it has been a boon to my skin. This cleanser alone changed my entire skin texture. I have gotten my friends hooked to it as well. Cosrx will always have a special place in my heart. The vitamin C cream seems promising. Will be buying!!
Honestly I really love skin cycling and approaching skincare in a more calm manner, focusing in skin barrier and hydration similarly to k beauty rather than acne attacking with actives (which I used to do 😂) I became very obsessed in a negative way with making my skin ‘perfect’ but as James always says there is no such thing and it doesn’t exist. I have simplified so much. Gentle cleaners (sometimes I don’t even cleanse in morning) two glow recipe serums in the morning, a gel moisturiser under eyes and in my cheeks, spf all applied to dampted 😂 skin. Then in the evening I double cleanse as soon as I have eaten dinner so I can soak into my skin and I feel so refreshed, a barrier repair moisturiser, then a acne cream from la Roche posay, then on my cheeks the cicaplast as the winter weather is playing havoc on my dry cheeks. I also feel more confident to not cover my acne/ scars. Before I wouldn’t even go to the shops without it, now I feel fine all thanks to you James (and Robert)
I’m new to COSRX but it quickly became a personal fave of mine. I started with the snail mucin essences which is my go to for glowy dewy hydrate skin and it helps repair when I’ve irritated my barrier. I also love the Centella Water toner. Next on my list to try is the Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence and the Advanced Snail 92 all in one and the Advanced Snail Radiance Dual Essence. I love what this brands stands for and I believe it’s helped my skin look the best it has in years 🙌🙌
I’ve been skin cycling for a few months now and it’s a great tool to make sure you are going through the stockpile of products. I use a 3/4 day cycle so every week is the same and I don’t have to remember which day I’m on. Mornings I’ll switch between a vitC and NiaC with some hydrating ceramide thrown in. But this is my night routine Mon-exfoliate Tue- retinal Wed- recovery Thur- exfoliate Fri- retinal Sat&sun-recovery. I’ve just restocked the only moisturizer that helps in the dead of winter with my flaking skin it’s the cosrx moisturize power enriched cream I also like to use the rice sleeping mask on recovery nights when I’m trying to slug
Didn’t know this was a trend, I have been doing this because I was getting some irritation using everything every night, plus I have so much skincare (it’s my relaxation/self care) dividing it up seems sensible. Now for some online shopping 😜
i've recently been trying skin cycling bc I have adhd so i always struggled to keep up with my routine and forgot which actives i used when so having it set for me has actually been really helpful and i've been able to stick to a set routine!!
I have 2 of almost everything: 2 cleansers (CeraVe SA renewing cleanser/Peach & Lily PowerCalm hydrating gel cleanser), 2 toners (Peach & Lily The Good Acids pore toner/Klairs Supple Preparation unscented facial toner), 2 serums (Beekman 1802 milk drops/KraveBeauty Great Barrier Relief), and a moisturizer that I also use as an eye cream (Peach & Lily matcha pudding antioxidant cream). I alternate cleansers, toners, and serums every other day but always use the same moisturizer - it’s the only one that really WORKS for me with zero downsides. I normally have oily skin, but I figured out years ago that the more I moisturize, the less oil my skin produces, and my skin drinks pretty much anything Peach & Lily right up and leaves nothing behind. I love that brand. 😭❤️ I switch my products up every other day to avoid over-exfoliation, something I was prone to as a teen. Glad to see I’m doing something right. 🤣 I don’t do retinol or vitamin C. My skin is VERY prone to intense purging whenever I change products, and retinol/vit c intensify that x 1000. Also don’t wear sunscreen (shoot me) because I’m a night shifter and am rarely ever outdoors during the day, and every sunscreen I’ve ever tried has clogged my pores, especially on top of a moisturizer - but sunscreen alone without a moisturizer isn’t enough to really get in there and do the moisture job. My skin may hate me for that when I’m older, but I’ll tackle that when I come to it. 😅 For now, I’m focused on gentle chemical exfoliation (physical exfoliation irritates my skin SO much) and barrier repair.
I am def gonna give this routine a shot 👍 I (mercifully) don't suffer with the acne breakouts/cystic acne I used to back when I was a teen/young adult but I still have a legacy of some minor scarring from those days. Now in my 50's, I have reactive, combination skin & often suffer with razor bumps or ingrown hairs after shaving. I know that sometimes, I do overdo the exfoliation as my nose gets ridiculously oily & congested a lot of the time 😕
Excellent content thank you. I forwarded your video to my 19-year old son. He must be convinced of the value of a good skincare regime. You make it easy to grope and convincing!
The COSRXs snail duo just works for me especially with my eczema. I recommend using it when your skin is still damn. It just is soothing and keeps your skin moisturised
James, really love ur passion for skincare! I was already looking into getting the advanced snail 96 mucin power essence, but u just putting my "maybe" into a "yes". I will also check out the other products u talked about from cosrx.... AND due to my sensitive, prone-to-breakout skin, I'll be trying the skin cycling routine. Thanks for all u do!
Wao ! What a beautiful video. So in detail. I was breaking my head thinking how to put night routine together. Now I found this video. Everything is in the description box. Listened to Everything took notes & I screen shot the details. Thanks 😊❤
I basically do this and did not realise i was doing it. I have a whole bunch of TO products and just use whatever feels right on the day. If my skin is dry that day, I do a nice oil and a moisturiser. If I have not used my retinol for a couple of days, I might do that!
Love this video. I’m on a complete detox from all actives at the moment 😢. I’m cleansing once a day, using a toner, using a barrier repair cream and a moisturiser. I’ve been so confused why my skin has been horribly dull, flaky, inflamed and my makeup wasn’t sitting nicely at all. Only recently realised that I’d damaged my skin barrier. Over exfoliation, too high % of retinol and I’ve realised my skin doesn’t like HA (which seems to be in nearly every product I own😬). Definitely going to give this a go when my skin has recovered.
Skin cycling got me to do something I’d already read was best, using my actives less frequently. I’ve fcked my skin up going ham with actives and then needed days of barrier repair. But since I started accepting skin cycling my skin isn’t get burnt. I do two days of Tretinoin& transexamic acid and then 1-2 days of only using on spots. I do use a bha during the day still on days I’m breaking out, regardless of if I’m on an off day. It seems pt be working. I have very dry skin but hormonal acne that started about 2 yrs postpartum when my period came back. I really struggled at first bc I didn’t know what products to use bc my skin was always so clear. Plus I was a new mom with no child support so my budget was tight. I’ve learned a lot about skincare and what works for my skin and wish I’d been less gung ho about using so many actives so often. But skincare works. I’m 6 yrs younger then my sister who doesn’t use skincare and when she went with me to a Drs apt the Dr thought she was my mom. She thinks I’m ridiculous with my skincare obsession but I can’t help my love of finding the best products for my skin.
The cosRX hyaluronic acid serum has been a godsend with winter approaching in the States! I do one or two active days followed by1-2 "kiss days" (keep it simple, silly). Really helped per your advice earlier this year
Cosrx is genuinely a great brand. It’s affordable but the ingredients and formulas are as good as more expensive ones. My kid has teenage acne and eczema and we both love the snail mucin gel cream. My kid also is obsessed with the snail mucin essence. Her fav skincare routine is the Cosrx snail essence, followed by the iUnik propolis serum, then the snail 92 cream. She struggles with black heads so I want her to try either the Cosrx BHA essence or their BHa/AHA essence. She’s on the spectrum and it took me two years to get her to try skincare (if you know ASD you know getting stuck and hating change is a real thing), so getting her to add something new, it takes time. I am curious which of the Cosrx BHA essences would work best. Bc she has dryness and occasional eczema I want something that’s not as drying, but she hates the blackheads and breakouts she gets so it’s gotta be strong enough to work for her teenage acne. But so far she since using the routine she’s adopted, her facial eczema hasn’t returned except for the excessive dryness she gets around her lips.
Hi. Try a double cleanse at night for her. I use the banilla co clean it zero balm and it melted away my blackheads after two days. I would massage it gently over my face concentrating on the nose for 5 minutes and couple feel them disappear. Now I’m essentially blackhead free and I don’t use salicylic
@@Btree33 I’ll suggest that to her. I have dry skin so I double cleanse and use a balm first. Her acne is just pretty persistent, her dad struggled with acne & I often wonder if she inherited it from him. Poor kid, she’s had problems with her skin since she was a newborn. At least her eczema is taking a break right now.
I have been skin cycling for almost a year now (on a three day cycle) and my skin has responded so well! On my rest/recovery day i cant help myself and i use a Copper Peptide serum because its not like a retinol or acid it can be used every day. I also do a very different morning routine but i stick to the same morning routine every day because ive been obsessed with ginseng and probiotics lately in my skincare but its so hard to incorporate those in my evening routine.
I love the COSRX Vitamin C serum. It's just one of those amazing formulas that melt into your skin and isn't sticky. I have hyperpigmentation and dark spots from acne so this really helps. I also use the clarifying toner and that's great for oily skin too! Great brand!! ❤️❤️
I love COSRX as a brand and also their products. Their night moisturizer is divine. I will try the 3 days cycle. The idea sounds interesting. Thank you James for sharing this video
My favorite product is the COSRX Centella Water Alcohol-free toner. I use it every day, and follow something I learned on your Channel James.....I mist it on my face between all my skincare steps. It is the BEST!!!!!!!
Thanks god you made a video about this. Cause im using skin care products of Cosrx and thinking to start using retinol but dont know wherever it can fit into my current cycle
I accidentally settled on skin cycling through trial and error. Didn't know that's what it was called until I saw it on Instagram a little while ago! Also as an aside... I love that you get sponsored by these brands you enjoy. It's awesome. But I'm also a bit disappointed. I live in the UK, like you do, and Cosrx don't ship to the UK. So all the sets/discounts you're talking about in the spon aren't available here - unless I'm missing something? I know a lot of your audience is actually in the US (mentioned in your podcast I believe?) but it's disappointing to see a UK-based creator advertise products and discounts that aren't even available here. Y'know? 💜
I want to add to this that I hope it doesn't come across wrong! I just wanted to voice my opinion bc that's what the comments are for? 😅 Like don't stop taking spons, etc., and I'll still watch all your content. I'm just salty bc I can't get discounted skincare lol. 😂😂😂
I LOVE LOVE LOVE COSRX ❤️ I use the Snail Essence after my toner ( am & pm ) I use the Snail Peptide Eye Cream ( pm ) and every night my last step is the Snail Cream 🐌 I go to bed looking a slimy lol but I wake up with soft and glowing skin.
Okay but sincere question here: how to people manage their skin care if not by this intuitive method. You should use most actives about 2 times a week and in which other way could someone achieve this without wrecking their skin? How do you achieve regularity?
This if my FAVE video ever because I love cosrx and I have been doing my skincare like this from the start. I think from your videos ☺️ you taught me to be gentle so I spaced everything out ... ❤️🔥
I used the SPF CORSX and the snail mucin essence one. The essence is very hydrating and I use it daily, it has proven great results on my skin, but with the SPF, I already finished it 2 weeks ago and started a new one from another business. I think I should go back to COSRX because this current SPF is much more greasy and acne prone.
I’ve been using the Pyunkang Yul pha mist toner in the morning, every other day. At night I cycle between geek and gorgeous 1% retinal and prescription azelaic acid - every other night. When not using actives I use peptides and calming stuff. I didn’t realize I was so trendy lol.
this is the only thing that works for me... caught on over the years. Im in my 30s and just getting a hold on my routine in last year or so... use what i need when i need it...plus my daily regulars.. shopping for skin care products is one of my fav things to do, samples...YES PLZ! :D I have always been jealous of people who can use the same cleanser & moisturizer day after day and have perfect skin. My skin is good now but only because I give it what it needs when it needs it & DRINK YOUR WATER PEOPLE!!!
I feel like it's just a matter of common sense and paying attention to your skin - learn what products shouldn't be used at the same time, learn how often they're meant to be used, and build up the frequency of irritating ingredients slowly till you find the right rhythm for your skin. For example, I started off with a 2.5% AHA mask, and now I'm doing 30% twice a week. I skip my retinol and azelaic acid after using AHAs. I rarely need recovery nights, but when I need them, I pay attention to my skin; I skip most of my actives at night and in the morning I use a vitamin C ester instead of my usual L-ascorbic acid. I might add a shea butter/colloidal oatmeal mask too. It's just about experimenting and ramping it up slowly till you find your sweet spot.
So It's kind of funny that this is ~trending and you are the third person that I follow to discuss cycling. I am pretty sporadic about what products I use each dayand night, but I have recently been struggling because I really love vitamin c, and also using acids, but I wanted to start using argireline, which doesn't work well with acids or Antioxidants. But I am not always great at paying attention to what and when I am using each product, I kinda like to.just slap whatever is appealing to me on my face. I really need to create these mini routines so I don't cause myself issues.
I suffer from rosacea and my skin is very, very dry. I've only recently gotten into skin care and just ordered the snail mucin essence. I really hope it's going help me with my redness as I've already gotten mostly rid of the pustules (azelaic acid, niacinamide and a hydrating, occlusive moisturizer) but while the redness has gone down it's still bothering me a lot.
Just bought the cosrx snail mucin 96 haven’t tried it yet but think I’m gunna try that skin cycling method and hearing people with acne use the snail mucin are getting cleared up skin is excitingg gunna try the snail mucin on the recover days
I basically do skin cycling method but skip the recovery night. I also can get kinda inconsistent with my skincare routine sometimes so it works for me.
How is that a TikTok trend? I'm pretty sure most people savy enough about their skincare already did that long before the term "skin cycle" got coined or TikTok. It's just good common skincare sense to let your skin rest/repair itself after exfoliation and retinol.
So far I've only tried the COSRX patches. Am eyeing products with snail ingredient. My skin needs some boost up/glow up due to stress in the last 3months. Thank you for your kind giveaway :)
James is all over the CosRx website right now!!! 💕💕💕 They are doing free shipping this weekend & they have a GREAT deal on the All About Snail Kit. I do believe the products are a mini or travel size but 4 products for $25 flat, no shipping, no tax? That's a GREAT deal!!! I'm so excited to be able to try these products on my very limited budget!
Wtf this is my first time of hearing about this, but I've actually been doing this for years and with a 4 day rotation too! I have an exfoliation day, a retinoid day, a peptide day, and an alpha arbutin day 😂 With cleanser, antioxidants, a hydrating serum/essence, moisturiser, and spf used every day.
Skin cycling! I didn’t know it had a name! I have psoriasis on my face and cycle my medicated lotions and oils with my skin care, I use to try to use them on top of each other, but cycling is so much better
My skin is so sensitive and the cosrx snail products are one of the few things that my skin like saps up and is like yes more please. I use the aha/bha toner after cleansing. Usually morning and night a few times a week. i let it sit for several minutes before putting the snail power essence on and i dampen my skin a bit for that (i remember james saying he likes to hydrate each step and my dry skin was like 👀 i will be incorporating this). Sometimes i do a second layer depending on how dry i am. Then i put a serum on, wait a a bit and then follow up with the snail all in one cream. I sometimes use the aha whitehead power essence but my skin needs big breaks between uses. I actually have another snail power essence on the way cause i ran out lol. Budget allowing i want to try all the cosrx products but so far i'm obsessed with the snail stuff
I LOVE CosRx products! I LOVE the sunscreen too! I haven't tried the retinol but I will now! My 9 year old just started a skin care routine and she loves using the snail moisturizer. It's so gentle and doesn't leave her (or my) skin greasy. And it's all so affordable (for me). Great video!
@@Zombie101 I know I was too! She's starting to see changes in her skin (pimples and such). I WISH someone would have helped me with my skin when I was young.
@@jenn8179 awh that's nice! I feel I'd be the same with my son or daughter if I had one. I'm still trying to figure out my own skin care but everytime I think I've cracked it, it gets worse! So yeah I know that feeling, wish someone could have lightened this load with me back then
@@jenn8179 literally same!!! ruined the skin! I unfortunately never dropped the picking habbit... Paying for that badly this time round. Taking collagen supplements now to try and reverse the damage!
The COSRX snail mucin essence and the galactomyces toner look tempting to me as my skin's become drier. Skin cycling may help me w that but I'll have to see.
I exfoliate and moisturize every night I love the Snail mucin and I mix a powder nicinamide in the mucin also I use tatcha dewy skin cream at night it’s my fav cream morning and night during winter. FYI my skin is super dry
Very interesting! I have been doing skin cycling for awhile now and I never even knew there was a term for it lol. For me, my skin is very sensitive so I try not to introduce too many new products in my routine
RN I’m having really bad breakouts (not sure if it’s the retinol or the use of heavy moisturizers) that are mostly comedogenic. So I use bp wash every morning, with a lightweight moisturizer and sunscreen. And then at night I use a sacilyc acid wash with moisturizer every other night, and on the other night I use the inky list retinol.

I love using the snail mucin on damp skin to give me a super glowy base- I barely need primer afterward :)
I'm loving the new Vitamin C it's gorgeous. Morning time, Snail essence; Vitamin C and the Aloe sunscreen 🧡🧡
The aloe sunscreen is still the one I have always repurchased since yeaaars. Creamiest texture ever. Simply perfect 🥰
Aha/Bha toner every other day and centella toner in between.
Snail radiance dual essence and snail cream, sometimes centella cream. 💕
I just started using the snail mucin line and I also repurchased the sunscreen. The lip mask is fantastic. I also love using the propolis ampoule.

I am the same! I had no acne in school but now that i’m 27 it’s a non stop problem 🙄
Hormone imbalance? If you menstruate birth control can sometimes help. Or make it worse. LOL
@@tutalilly As a teenager I had cystic acne on my back & shoulders, but not very many spots on my face. Age 18-21 I basically had 100% clear skin unless it was the week of my period. Really don’t know what the heck happened 🤦🏻♀️

Back at the start of the The Oridinary boom, we definitely did this in a big way! Very specific treatments at specific times
Lol same
I have been using COSRX for almost two years now and love so many of the products. I will say that my absolute favorite right now is the Snail Essence because it is the only thing that helps my skin heal after using my prescribed tretinoin. Before using it my skin would be red, flaky, and dull but now it’s glowy and hydrated throughout the week!
I swear by the snail essence, so good!
Did anyone win the giveaway?
I recently started using the Snail 92 All-in-One Cream & of course I love it!!! So thank you again James for singing the praises of COSRX & introducing me to another amazing product!
I will forever be obsessed with the snail mucin serum, the whitehead power liquid, and the snail mucin cream. COSRX makes some bomb products tbh
Try the eye masks!!
So I definitely cycle my products, but I don't do specific products on specific days, I just use what I feel like my skin needs that day.
But retinol is exfoliating.. so too much no?
I love the Cosrx salicylic acid cleanser, a little bit goes a very long way. Then I use the snail essence and follow with the cica moisturiser. Simple and my sensitive skin loves it. Whenever I get a blemish I use the pimple patches which are amazing too! Cosrx is reasonably price and so good for the skin
I just naturally do this as it feels right. I don't do things for a "trend" but what is right for my skin.
I'm doing "cycle"for long time.but I'm leaving 1-2days of repair and moisture days between actives.i put reminders in phone calendar,so I don't forget to put my actives in the proper day.also pairing retinol with cica and squalene helps a lot))
I’ve just started using the COSRX AHA/BHA toner to help improve discolouration. I’d really like to try the snail mucin line
But this is my night routine
Mon-exfoliate
Tue- retinal
Wed- recovery
Thur- exfoliate
Fri- retinal
Sat&sun-recovery.
I’ve just restocked the only moisturizer that helps in the dead of winter with my flaking skin it’s the cosrx moisturize power enriched cream I also like to use the rice sleeping mask on recovery nights when I’m trying to slug
I can answer this for my situation: i watch Himmel because of his personality. He's so likeable! Bubbly a d calm at the same time. And kind.
Didn’t know this was a trend, I have been doing this because I was getting some irritation using everything every night, plus I have so much skincare (it’s my relaxation/self care) dividing it up seems sensible. Now for some online shopping 😜
I have been using the new retinol plus the snail cream and its really good!
i've recently been trying skin cycling bc I have adhd so i always struggled to keep up with my routine and forgot which actives i used when so having it set for me has actually been really helpful and i've been able to stick to a set routine!!
I’ve actually been doing this method without even knowing or having tik tok, this is so interesting!! Thanks James, I loved this video ❤
I switch my products up every other day to avoid over-exfoliation, something I was prone to as a teen. Glad to see I’m doing something right. 🤣
I don’t do retinol or vitamin C.
I am def gonna give this routine a shot 👍
I (mercifully) don't suffer with the acne breakouts/cystic acne I used to back when I was a teen/young adult but I still have a legacy of some minor scarring from those days.
I love the 96 essence! I started using it every night as part of my routine since 2021, love it! Feels so nourishing as soon as I put it on! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
The COSRXs snail duo just works for me especially with my eczema. I recommend using it when your skin is still damn. It just is soothing and keeps your skin moisturised
Great video as always James.. Hope all is wonderful with you and sending you love xx
This seems like a really good idea! I’m already doing a recovery night every now and then, but I’m gonna try doing it as a proper routine now😋
Love this video.
Really helped per your advice earlier this year
Literally used that serum on my face last night! Will see how it feels this am!
I'm using the snail mucin essence & moisturizer.. it's really soooo hydrating
I have the exfoliating toner and have just ordered the snail mucin essence completely on your recommendations!
Thank you for the video! I definitely need to try the aha bha toner asap ❤
I love the Cosrx snail essence. I do skin cycling once a month.
Best skin cycling plan (one that actually makes sense and doesn'tmake you use retinol once a week) and best video on the subject overall.
This came right on time as I'm running out of other products! Placed my order for the Vita Cycle and can't wait for it; thank you James!
I love cosrx cica line! Like James mentioned; they are gentle yet effective with consistent use. Thanks for the awesome tips!!
I agree, I also attribute the reduction of breakouts to use of these two Cosrx products with snail mucin 👍👍
Cosrx Snail Mucin essence has been one of the best things to happen in skincare
I love that brand. I always buy it at Marshalls when they're at clearance. $4 win win
I love how I search skin cycling on UA-cam and you pop up.
I use Tretinoin at night and so to help to add extra moisture and prevent flake, I use COSRX all-in-one cream to seal everything in.
I use it for eczema prone and super super sensitive skin and honestly it helps my redness so much
Just bought the cosrx snail mucin 96 haven’t tried it yet but think I’m gunna try that skin cycling method and hearing people with acne use the snail mucin are getting cleared up skin is excitingg gunna try the snail mucin on the recover days
Just ordered the Reti Cycle set, excited to try it!
i’ve been waiting for you to do this video !!! thank you!
Thank you, James and COS-RX!!!
Thank you James you help me so much. Not only with product but overall advice 🖤💜
Definitely going to try this trend with the COSRX products I have!
👏👏👏
So far I've only tried the COSRX patches. Am eyeing products with snail ingredient. My skin needs some boost up/glow up due to stress in the last 3months. Thank you for your kind giveaway :)
James is all over the CosRx website right now!!! 💕💕💕
They are doing free shipping this weekend & they have a GREAT deal on the All About Snail Kit.
9 yr old doing skin care lol I think I was running around in mud and sleeping without a shower most nights at 9
@@Zombie101 I know I was too!
So yeah I know that feeling, wish someone could have lightened this load with me back then
@@Zombie101 I was using that St Ives Apricot Scrub in the 90's! Oh if I only knew! 😆
@@jenn8179 literally same!!! ruined the skin! I unfortunately never dropped the picking habbit... Paying for that badly this time round. Taking collagen supplements now to try and reverse the damage!
I have been trying this out without knowing this was a tiktok trend.
The COSRX snail mucin essence and the galactomyces toner look tempting to me as my skin's become drier. Skin cycling may help me w that but I'll have to see.
I’m curious what morning skin care routines would look like to pair with the night routines 🤔 cleanse, something, moisturizer, sunscreen?
I exfoliate and moisturize every night I love the Snail mucin and I mix a powder nicinamide in the mucin also I use tatcha dewy skin cream at night it’s my fav cream morning and night during winter. FYI my skin is super dry
I have been doing this for 20 plus years. One night hydrate, next clear pores. A mask or acne product. It just didn't have a name before.
Thank you James, this was very useful, I have products but it’s a mess, mainly what, when and how to use 😄
I always do this! But I didn't know that it was a thing haha. Thinking about getting the kit.
