So happy you enjoyed the paint! It IS much more pigmented than the original set, I'm so glad you noticed! Your painting looks beautiful. You did amazing with this new style, made me want to try it! 😍
Quick tips for Chloe Rose or anyone else who wants it. 1. Sculpting tools with rubber tips will help you fill in details that the palette knife can’t get into & refine your “lumps” of paint 2. When you’re experimenting (especially experimenting with something you like), try to start at the edges of the canvas because if you f*ck up, you can just cover it with a boarder
Chloe, I think that the painting, for your first textured painting, came out really well. I have to say tho, that even tho I believed myself to be the messiest artist I know, YOU Chloe, have easily surpassed me! My goodness girl, when you paint, YOU PAINT...everything! Including yourself! lol. It was huge fun to watch you experiment today, thank you so much for recording this, it has given me inspiration! By the way, your hair and make up were gorgeous. I love the colour of your hair, it brings out the colour of your eyes. God bless you and those you love, have a lovely weekend!
I'm 62 yrs old and love your creativity. This one looks so fun! I dabble in paint but mostly do pen or pencil drawing. Just wanted to send my appreciation for the project this week!
You have inspired me to try this with my arty teenage daughters. They are the ones who introduced me to you and Moriah Elizabeth as little kids and we would watch all together. We bought the paint set and have been waiting for inspiration. Thank you! ❤
When you painted the background orange, I immediately thought of Mira. So it was no surprise to hear you say you learned that from her. I do love the chaos that is Chloe’s desk once she’s done a project. Lol! And I love that Moriah’s paints are so good to use.
Sometimes, leaving the comfort zone, experimenting with colors and textures leads us to evolve. Personally, I would have made the oranges and leaves stand out!Still, the painting turned out so gorgeous!!I loved it! You're amazing Chloe!Have a good night!😊💕
I actually love how this turned out, it could totally go in an art gallery. I wasn't 100% on it until you started adding the texture to the oranges and then it just really came together and it looks great!
This was great! I really appreciate that you embrace your messy arm/ messes because it's so relatable! I'm such a messy artist/Crafter and I never believe how many people keep their clothes and areas so clean on their UA-cam videos. 😅
I loved this! I loved the painting, I loved the technique, I loved the purple on the branch! I hope this one works the algorithm so you can start doing more like this!
The reason why you do an underpainting is not that it looks complete hahah 🧡 even tho having white shine through is also not my vibe either :) It’s actually done because painting on white makes it hard to properly judge values in the colours you’re using, it’s kinda tricking our eyes into picking the wrong colours ! it’s an effect like simultaneous contrast i think? with the underpainting you go for a mid-tone value & from there you can build contrast easier ! and pick colours more accurately ! But that’s more for realistic paintings ✨ i think you can consciously choose colours for your under painting to achieve different effects/results in your final painting ! (Playing with contrasts, etc ) but tbh i don’t really know more than that 😂 it’s the same with digital art too! You should also put an underpainting, really helps a lot! 🌞
This is gorgeous! I love seeing you try stuff outside your comfort. I also thought even before you used the textured paint, that painting looked really interesting. Something about the bits of orange peeking out from under the blue was really fascinating. Maybe you could experiment with layering colors that wouldn't normally seem to go together and just peek out like that.
Hullo Chloe, I am a painter that has used a simple palette and conventional colors too! I have always thought Le'roy Neiman(from a modern painters list) was an amazing painter and his sports paintings were so dramatic his color choices were so astonishing! I have seen a resurgence of his dramatic colors in pet portraits! My wife does it so well, I just have been doing realistic forms so long I have trouble going that direction! I have been trying to loosen up by going with soft pastels and learning this new to me medium! I have always loved the Impressionists and knowing they used a lot of the "NEW" medium of pastels, this convinced me this might be the way for me to go loose! I have done that thick and juicy application of paint and having different style and shapes of palette knives is key to having an easier time of paint application! I have even resorted to using my fingers! (Lindsay Weirich has used cut up credit/gift cards for different shapes) I believe you did a wonderful jog applying this method of working! I have also started tinting and blocking in my major colors when painting and if I use a white surface I am finding that using the undercoating a real key to success! Keep going Chloe!
This is a lovely picture that you've made! I might have a go at this method myself and see what I come up with. Thanks for the inspiration - and I think that your wedding makeup trial is lovely too.
I love Moriah, oranges is my fave fruit & color, this thick paint is one of my fave art things it just scratches at my brain the right way 😂 So this painting is just so perfect! Trying new colors you aren't used to painting with and a whole new technique and creating such a pretty art piece is so amazing!
I use blue and green a lot too, there are some lovely shades of both. The painting looks so good, the blue’s like water, it has movement. An artist called Josie Lewis does thick paintings, some are like dragon scales. She mixes tubs of colour with a little paint and loads of medium
ooh, this looks lovely. i've been too afraid to try this style but seeing this and hearing how much fun it it, i think i need to give it a shot. i just need to make sure to wear clothes i don't care about and make sure to put a mat down to protect the surface of my desk. absolutely lovely!
I think your painting turned out really cool! ❣ My advice from personal experience using palette knives to have a variety of sizes/shapes. My favorite shape is the diamond shape, and I find the really small one to be easier to manage in a painting the size you were doing.
Oooh, I have a Gloss Super Heavy Gel from when my sister handed it down to me that I never used! This painting looks super fun and makes me want to try and use it too! 🙀💕
I love the make up comment at the beginning 😂 same girl, same. I ended up doing it myself and practicing every Sunday because I could not accept the „professional“ results I got from trying some studios. Yes, some money went down the drain, but I learned how much I like my look done by myself 🥰 and my husband gave me excellent feedback every time
This was awesome! I love ME, I have the paint roll & im planning to buy the big tubes, I’ve never used that medium, and now I finally understand how those pieces get made!
First I was like, well at least leave the back ground thin/normal but then I saw the result, gorgeous! And BTW, I have oranges, mandarins, lemons and tangerines in my garden, do NOT worry, they can be wonky in times, what you pictured is perfectly natural
Hi Chloe, this is really great for your first textured painting! But maybe next time you can do a video on using techniques of some tutorials of using palette knives? Then the video can be fun and educational as well!
LOVE THIS!!! I’ve often wondered about that medium, but have been afraid to try it. Thank you for demonstrating how to use it, I really want to work with some myself now ☺️. The messiness, I think I have you beat…I’ve found it in my hair before, while cleaning up after a project. I have absolutely NO idea 🤷🏻♀️ how it got there, either. Also, thank you again for adding some much needed cheer to a very long, frustrating day. I love your videos Chloe, you really are a treasure. 🌸✨🌸
I really love the final piece, even though there were definitely moments there when i was like "ew, absolutely not". But in the end it all came together into something beautiful. Doesn't hurt that i love citrus paintings lol
I love rainbows but i can relate not using a certain color. I'm primary and not pastel or neons. Very envious cuz i want this set to try. Though i have paint I haven't even used in a year. Lol 🤣 PS when you tone your canvas use a wash. Thin the paint so its not so thick and its a light color.
12:29 yes you could have a lot more paint on your arm! My arm would be covered in paint! I really like your painting. Thank you for your videos Chloe. I really appreciate all of your work! Now I want these paints!
So happy you enjoyed the paint! It IS much more pigmented than the original set, I'm so glad you noticed! Your painting looks beautiful. You did amazing with this new style, made me want to try it! 😍
Moriah! I love your videos! ❤
Yess❤
MORIAH, I AM A FAN, AND I LOVE UR SQUISHYS SO MUCH❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Moriah!!❤
i just ordered my set of paint. i cant wait to try it :D
"I am a blue-green painter" I have never related so hard. I adore colorful palattes, but always go for my earthy neutral tones!
Same here,
I also have a very balanced palette, but the earth colours are the first to be used up, and the others are hardly used.
AlwayD :
My sigh of relief when she takes care of those missed orange leaves!!
Haha same 😂
The absolute stress of it XD
Same it was bugging me
Ikr 😅
10:00 If you look to the left of the screen you will see a smiley face happy to watch Chole making art
hahahaha lol I took my ages to find that
omg i need another moriah and chloe collab
Ahhhh it was so fun filming them!! 🙌
Definitely

"There's definitely an art to this, and I don't know what it is" 😂 You're so talented! This, like all your art, is a joy to watch come together! ❤
Oh, Van Gogh-ish style goes actually really well with this medium! And indirect light adds more depth to the result. What's next, Starry night?
I'm 62 yrs old and love your creativity. This one looks so fun! I dabble in paint but mostly do pen or pencil drawing. Just wanted to send my appreciation for the project this week!
Thank you so much!! Pen and pencil art is fun, something I need to do more of!
You have inspired me to try this with my arty teenage daughters. They are the ones who introduced me to you and Moriah Elizabeth as little kids and we would watch all together. We bought the paint set and have been waiting for inspiration. Thank you! ❤
Aww yay!! How lovely. I hope you have fun!!

Her paint are always the perfect colours they are perfection
I’m actually impressed with these paints, my mouth has been hug open for the whole video, my jaw on the floor, I’m in love
Chloe is legit so sweet and pretty I CAN'T

This is my most FAVORITE paint technique!!! This turned out so beautifully!! I hope you hang it and enjoy it! 😍😍
It turned out GORGEOUS!! I love itt!! ❤
I love how you say 'I've never done this before' and then it turns out beautifully. 😊
It’s nice seeing friends supporting each other
I have her set on my wishlist because I was excited about the bigger tubes. Have fun planning your big day!
I love how it came out! These are my favorite kinds of videos that you do. Trying out some new product and showing how it works in a painting 💗
I LOVE this colour combo so much!!! 😍😍
Love your hair and make up. I liked the added dimensionality to the art. It was fun to watch.
This was great!
I really appreciate that you embrace your messy arm/ messes because it's so relatable! I'm such a messy artist/Crafter and I never believe how many people keep their clothes and areas so clean on their UA-cam videos. 😅

The final piece is wonderful! X
I too, am obsessed with this medium 😍
I love the music in the background and the colors are beautiful together
Great idea! I appreciate your tone of creativity. Thanks for being curious how mediums work together. Blessings.
I thought this painting was SOO pretty! I ALWAYS loved those thick chunky paintings where the strokes are very prominent.

This painting is beautiful, exact colors of my bedroom. I ❤ it!!
I love Moriah, oranges is my fave fruit & color, this thick paint is one of my fave art things it just scratches at my brain the right way 😂 So this painting is just so perfect! Trying new colors you aren't used to painting with and a whole new technique and creating such a pretty art piece is so amazing!
I think you look SO much better in the minimal or no makeup look!!
The painting turned out so cool.
I'm really glad you tried this. It was cool
This looks sooooo much fun!!!! I love the textures!!!!
Love this look! More please!
Looks like you’re having fun!
I adore the finished painting! You should definitely do more of this kind of painting as it just looks so cool and creative!
I use blue and green a lot too, there are some lovely shades of both. The painting looks so good, the blue’s like water, it has movement. An artist called Josie Lewis does thick paintings, some are like dragon scales. She mixes tubs of colour with a little paint and loads of medium
I looooove your painting videos!!
Thank you!’
I really like it. You did a great job.
I think it’s the best thing I have seen you paint. 🎉
I absolutely love how this worked out! Thank you for sharing your ideas! I love watching your videos they always make me happy☺️
ooh, this looks lovely. i've been too afraid to try this style but seeing this and hearing how much fun it it, i think i need to give it a shot. i just need to make sure to wear clothes i don't care about and make sure to put a mat down to protect the surface of my desk. absolutely lovely!
Omg I love how this painting turned out !!
In the beginning, I wasn't sure where this painting was going, but the end result is *beautiful!*
These paints look so good !!!
Loved the orange tree!
“Look at them! They’re . . . tubes of paint.” I laughed so hard 😂
I think your painting turned out really cool! ❣ My advice from personal experience using palette knives to have a variety of sizes/shapes. My favorite shape is the diamond shape, and I find the really small one to be easier to manage in a painting the size you were doing.

It looks like a ceramic tile, it has a lot of texture and the colours are so vibrant, even with the texture medium added.
Looks really nice Chloe. Love the textured look. Thank you for sharing. ☺☺☺
So much fun-love the finished project! ❤
The underpainting in a color also helps establish a mid-tone so it’s easier to add highlights and shadows later on
This was awesome! I love ME, I have the paint roll & im planning to buy the big tubes, I’ve never used that medium, and now I finally understand how those pieces get made!
I really like this textured painting
You’re such an amazing painter wish you would make more painting videos
I loved seeing the process and final result; reminds me slightly of Cezanne. I think this was a great use of Moriah's paints
i am also very curious to know how long this takes to dry
The packagings are SOOO cuuuteee 🥹
First I was like, well at least leave the back ground thin/normal but then I saw the result, gorgeous! And BTW, I have oranges, mandarins, lemons and tangerines in my garden, do NOT worry, they can be wonky in times, what you pictured is perfectly natural
Loved watching you use some other techniques and love the contrasting colours, the end product is very pretty too!
This was so fun! It looks glossy and yummy! I'm totally going to try this!
This is such a pretty painting! You did wonderfully Chloe!!
Hi Chloe, this is really great for your first textured painting! But maybe next time you can do a video on using techniques of some tutorials of using palette knives? Then the video can be fun and educational as well!
LOVE THIS!!!

🌸✨🌸
Omg I need to buy this now!?
Side note. I didn't know you could tag people directly in the title of the video. Very cool. And these are super cute.
"This reminds me of something" My humor is horrible, because I instantly screamed, "A TURD!!!"
I really love the final piece, even though there were definitely moments there when i was like "ew, absolutely not". But in the end it all came together into something beautiful. Doesn't hurt that i love citrus paintings lol
Wow this has really inspired me! I think I’m gonna do this technique for some paintings for me and my boyfriends apartment, it’s so cool
A print of this painting would sell like hotcakes. Great job 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Very pretty result and a fun video to watch!
Watching you paint is therapy
It came out so well. I just want to touch and feel the texture lol.
That turned out so beautiful!! I love Moriah’s paints and now I desperately want to try this.
Do it!!
Love it, great to see you creating art. Fabulous colours 🎉
The painting turned out so good ❤ It’s seems a quite fun experiment, I’ll definitely give it a try.
That turned out incredible and just peachy!! 🤗😍
Doing a first coat in orange/red is so smart I’m gonna have to try that with my paintings!!(I always hate having the white of the canvas pop through)
I love rainbows but i can relate not using a certain color. I'm primary and not pastel or neons. Very envious cuz i want this set to try. Though i have paint I haven't even used in a year. Lol 🤣
PS when you tone your canvas use a wash. Thin the paint so its not so thick and its a light color.
I love it! Impasto elevates a painting!
12:29 yes you could have a lot more paint on your arm! My arm would be covered in paint! I really like your painting. Thank you for your videos Chloe. I really appreciate all of your work! Now I want these paints!
The artwork turned out so so beautifully omg!! 😍😍
You are so creative! 🤩🤩
very pretty. really love the blue and orange
That turned out so nice! I really enjoy this look.
I love your art piece!! 😍 It would be perfect in a living room area. Beautiful!!
Gorgeous colors! Wish I wasn’t so strapped for cash- but Chloe- this painting is lovely!
What a fun idea! It looks very interesting. ❤
What a lovely piece! Brave soul, trying out this technique. I applaud you. (Found my way here from your collab with Moriah btw).
I’m not gonna lie, I was worried up until about 12:14 when it really started to come together 😅
Im only familiar with "decoupage" done with essentially, paper napkins... had no idea you could do this with paint! Neat! 🎨 💛
Yeah I used decoupage completely wrong! It’s called Impasto 🤣
Love it, i think you gave me the idea for the New technique i should try it looks amazing
