Today I am trying the infamous "jelly gouache" jelly paint which is all the rage on amazon and in the art community! This paint is almost the art supply of the century, it is so popular and pretty cheap for the quality, today I am testing them out to see what I think and if these are actually a gimmick?

Thank you for watching!
I would love to but sadly I will be saving up for art supplies :()
Are your brushes sold out or is there another place i can go to purchase them?
Thank you!!
You asked for my favorite art medium. I think that it is youtube because I don't really do art because I am a perfectionist and can't handle a single mistake. But when I make something it is mostly with a fineliner and brushpen.

Sharing your vid around- and as someone that also struggles with things in general, I know how hard it can be to talk about it- much less to this level. I think your brave and that this shows how much you care about people by sharing and supporting them through the solidarity that no one is perfect and that we all sometimes need a hand. ♥

Finally bought jelly gouache 2 weeks ago and I love it, it’s fun and easy. I find they make little mess and are easier than dried ones (palette). I use them in a black paper sketchbook and the color pop so much, it’s great :)
Good to know about the “pop” on black paper as I purchased a black paper art journal years ago and was about to put it in my sell it on eBay pile. Now maybe I won’t have to. 🙂
Ahhhhh i really want em too now
They are awesome on toned paper too.
aaaa so hyped to see your brushes in action!! :D
Thank you!!
Are they available in the UK?
@@bookwormbon482 if ur talking about her brushes- than yes- I believe she still lives in the uk
Your timing is beautiful, I am going to order this exact set tomorrow!
You’re going to love them!
It's great to see artists experiment with their media. But since gouache is basically a professional grade watercolor (very few are lightfast) I was surprised to see you use it on a canvas board. Would love to see what happens to it in a few years. God bless
She doesn't know what the fck she is doing, and shouldn't be reviewing supplies
I’m a mixed media artist, but if I have to choose, my heart is set on watercolor.
I made such a huge mess when I opened my jelly gouache pans. Like I had paint halfway up my arm and I have no idea how it got there.
I'm now 60, but I remember being read The Faraway Tree by my 3rd Grade teacher. I love the greens you used. It was beautiful watching the tree come to life.
Hang in there, Sweetie. Life can be overwhelming. Know that you aren't alone.
this is so sweet
I really like how the trees further back turned out! my favorite medium is watercolor, but these are everywhere and I am very curious :)
My favorite art medium has got to be clay, honestly. There’s just nothing quite like creating something 3D from scratch! Especially if you use NerdECrafter’s not another crap kit👀. Another great video! I hope you’re doing well!
I love all art mediums (I've run out of room in my studio), but I always come back to watercolors. The effects and aesthetics in watercolors are so beautiful, and the range of styles you can is amazing. They have so much freedom for me and they will always be my go-to art medium.
It's a cute piece, it reminds me of the art on the cards for the game Dixit! I think a few other details like some fallen leaves would lessen the sensation of a manicured lawn, making it more of a real forest. And the characters need a draw-pile for their game! But it's very cute, my favorite part is the canopy of leaves and the textured bark.
I watched hundreds of videos b4 buying them and I can say that I don’t regret it one bit. After getting them I bought 3 sets because the refills weren’t available in England (they’re actually really cheap in the country that they came from like 10 pounds cause it’s for students) it’s the first gouache I’ve ever used and it’s beginner friendly imo. Has a wonderful silky smooth consistency and if it drys up you can add water drops to the little pots to bring it back. I recommend it 100%
Thank you for making my day with your video Chloe :) I’m gonna go binge the rest of your videos now!
Hi, do you have a link to where you bought them from? Thanks.
you can buy the replacement cups on aliexpress. they also sell the paint in bags so you can squeeze that into the existing cups. Or buy a higher quality / better value paint and put that into your cups.

My favorite art medium is a combination of alcohol markers and colored pencils on toned paper~ Funnily enough, I've actually been debating on getting a set of these jelly gouaches because my friend's been raving about them 😆
I have the small set of these jelly paints and absolutely LOVE using them! I’ve always loved acrylic and also watercolour and these are just the perfect medium for me!
My fav medium is gouache absolutely!! I use it since 2021 and I'm fall in love with this medium. Because it's forgiving medium than watercolor I guess Lmao. I love the consistency! They're easy to use and really opaque. It's easy also to mixing and blending. Really love this medium!
I use tube set of Miya Himi Gouache 12 colors and I'm really excited to try out 56 colours!! It'slook so gorgeous!!It's look so delicious!! LoL
Thankyou for this opportunity Chloe!

I so badly wanna try gouache! I've mostly been using acrylic, and it's a super fun medium
But jelly gouache?? It looks so pretty!! And I love the little containers!! Aaaaaaa! I've seen them, everywhere.
It’s not really jelly, I think it has almost the same consistency as regular gouache. It’s called that because the cups. They look alike those jelly cups
it looks so delicious
I've definitely been considering buying one of these sets. It's the only medium I don't currently have on hand. It's just those colors all lined up in rows. So satisfying to look at! Also, it looks fantastic! Love the light and color!
Currently loving a mix of watercolor backgrounds with acrylic paintings, but excited to try some goauche!
My favorite medium is currently tied between watercolor, colored pencil, and alcohol marker. I'd love to add gouache into that mix
Dude, alcohol marker is so nice
It's such a good medium
@@random_dragon It works really well combined with colored pencil too!
@@ash_rock !!!!! I've never thought of that! How do you combine the two?
@@random_dragon Laying down base colors with marker and using colored pencils to refine, push tones, or make up for tones you don't have in marker. Since alcohol marker doesn't change the texture of paper, pencil goes over it super smooth.
@@ash_rock yoooooo, sick! I love that idea!
My favorite art medium has always been paints. I’m more used to acrylics but I’ve been interested in slowly expanding to different brush mediums like gouache, watercolors, and inks. Anything with a brush is right up my alley
I have a little set of 18 jelly gouache, they take forever or open, lol! My favorite medium is watercolor, but the lovely matt finish of gouache is very refreshing and fun! I keep wanting to get this huge set, but haven’t been able to justify it in my head…
My favorite medium is watercolor! I love how they work and how quickly they dry but I wish they layered more. I’ve been trying to get a set of gouache because I hear they work similarly but are more opaque, but I haven’t been able to
I really like the blend-ability this has, it almost has a watercolour feel, but also the vibrancy of acrylic. The material seems to dislike being layered, it looks like a real happy medium between watercolour and acrylic, with its own challenges. love what you have done with it :)
I'm currently experimenting with different art supplies. I don't really want to pick a favourite...
Watercolours are awesome! My pencil drawing was also super nice! Markers, crayons, acrylics, gouache I also like!
The only thing I don't like are charcoals. Anything else, I'm game!
My favorite medium to work with is pastels. I absolutely love how your piece turned out, makes me want to try out jelly gouache.
I love how all the little details make such a huge difference, especially in areas like the tree trunk. It turned out so good! I definitely think it's even better than the digital version you did ❤️
Fun video!!! Never tried this before but now I want to for an art video too! So fun and inspiring (as always) 💕
Did anyone else have a mini panic attack when she sprayed her paint directly over the painting? 😂Love this piece!! Jelly gouache has been such a fun medium to explore with absolutely no pressure. Its so fun!
I love painting, especially with acrylics. I’ve been so tempted to try this jelly gouache, so I was super excited to see you tried it!
I love gouache due to its opacity, the ability to use it either like water colour or oil paint, and the vibrancy of quality pigments. And you just need the main mixing colors (2 reds, 2 blues, 2 yellows + white + black (I don't really use my black, I like mixing my dark greys myself)) + some hot press water colour paper and you are all set. Also, I love that I can reactivate a colour that I have mixed on my palette even weeks later with just some water.
Just popping in to say I have Chloe's brushes and they are great! I've used them for acrylic and for watercolor painting and like them for both. :)
Ooh I love the cooler tones of the green and blue, that’s really pretty blending ☺️ I love that gradient a lot.
I love how it looks like candy. It's so fun!
Honestly, i can never go wrong with the combination of watercolor and toned paper! I've always seen stuff about gouache but i havent tried it yet!
I absolutely love your hair! And the art! I often feel like gouache paintings all have a similar look to them, although many artists can go that bit beyond a,d make it a gorgeous piece of art. Loved watching hour progress. And of course also loved the typical Chloe-type of funny little awkward moments. I love that you include those and that you allow yourself to make stuff on these videos that often feel like either they’re not like you envisioned or the casual manner of how you mention all the fun and the struggles and an “ah well, it was fun while it lasted” or new experience and all that. You really let us ‘live it’ instead of just watching it, if that makes sense.
I’ve been researching/focusing on trees lately (actually sat in the garden of the kinda community center in my neighborhood, headphones on and singing along (figured they’d say something if I was annoying or not, didn’t yell along, just soft singing) and keep staring and observing all the different trees, the rather dead leaves, branches and plants, soil, pinecones and more. Of course I managed to stroke along the one tiny sprout of stinging nette with all of 3 leaves 🤣
I don’t want to go down the rabbit hole of jelly gouache because it is so heavy, apparently it dries out easy and all the “activating” or stirring is not an option for me. Plus, they can mold? Lindsay the frugal crafter has a cheap solution for that (water, alcohol and maybe something else, check her channel on YT)
My favorite medium is watercolor and I love trying new medium once in a while☺️
Wow the jelly gouache looks really cool! I do quite a bit of digital work as well, so it's interesting to see a digital piece reimagined as a traditional one. My favourite medium (for now? I might have to give jelly gouache a try...) is watercolour :)
I got some of these a few months ago and absolutely love them!!! They’re so fun to paint with and i love the way they’re packaged
My favorite art medium is mixed media! I never use only one medium in my art, except for digital painting.
But when I have to choose one, it would be watercolor. With colored pencil and gouache xD. These three work soo well together.
Your videos are so motivating, every time I watch one I want to make something, also my favourite medium is acrylic paint 😁
Love the bright colors in the set and you've used them beautifully! My current "favorite" medium is polymer clay, though I have a new favorite about once a month or so!! LOL And just to let you know...you are NOT alone in the making of messes nor not being ok lately. We may never move past the messy part...but I know we can overcome the other if we stick together and be honest with ourselves and others about it. Love and light to you!
Haven’t seen the video yet but I looove my jelly paints!! I bought them recently and I paint so much more because it’s an easy set up and I don’t have to worry about washing the brushes right after so it doesn’t take too many spoons. I have that exact same set that you got and I love it
I love your brushes! I have this gouache set on my future art supplies to buy list! I've just recently started oil painting and it has turned into my favourite medium! I love all your content Chloe and are such an inspiration in my own personal practice! Thank you for making me smile during this stressful time!
I never tried gouache before until recently and it's beautiful. Besides that, I do love acrylic paints! Always my go to art medium.
I'd love to get the big set. I love the jelly gouache. Gouache has become my favorite medium tied with Digital. You can also do some mixed media. I also enjoy watercolpour + Gouache + coloured pencils. Fun video, thanks.
i have no idea why but your videos are literally so calming! i haven’t watched you in a while and this video helped me remember r why i subscribed in the first place. you have been such an inspiration and oh my gosh i’m so thankful i found your trying out art hacks video all those years ago.
Can’t wait to watch this!
It’s hard to chose my fav art medium coz i love to jump around, but I have really been enjoying using acrylics and now really want to try these! They look so fun x
Watercolor is my favorite medium. I love the flow of the paint on paper.
That was so relaxing and amazing to watch this piece come to life. It truly has such depth and peacefulness to it. 🥰🥰🥰
My favorite medium is a tie between acrylic paint and micron pens, but there’s so many mediums out there that I enjoy.
Currently I love clay, acrylic and knitting the most. This is a beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing and have the best week!
My favorite medium for the moment is just a ballpoint pen 😂 it helps me to learn to let go of my perfectionism… however, just like Mira Byler I like to call myself a ‘style hopper’, which means my favorite art medium will change again in maybe a month or a few weeks or so 😅
I loved watching the mixing and the layering of colours to produce perspective, shading, depth, richness, light and dark and outlining. Thank you, this is what I always have difficulty with and it always ends up flat.
I love to try different mediums but recently I’ve been trying watercolor. Beautiful artwork as always Chloe!!
Beautiful, simple yet detailed painting!! Thank you for sharing you'd mental struggles and we hope you feel better soon!
Is it weird to say the paper is my favorite art medium? I love the way the different styles of paper feel and even smell. If I'm choosing what to use on said paper, that would be acrylic paint.
I honestly love jelly gouache. It's easier to keep organized than tube gouache, and it's generally more affordable but is still good quality (obviously not the best, but definitely better than others in the same price range). I've only ever used gouache on paper, so I'm interested in trying it on canvas like you have.
My favorite art medium is definitely acrylic paint, I love the quick drying time. Love your videos Chloe
Just started the video but your hair and music in this one? *chef's kiss* Perfect.
So we all pretty know that Chloe learned a lot about coloring 🤣 at least two times
I always wanted to try these paints! I've only ever used watercolor and acrylic. Painting is probably my favorite medium even though I'm not the best at it :))
Your art is so beautiful and it always inspires me to get my paints out. I love to paint with gouache and acrylic. Which since it's the same medium you usually use, I always love to see how you blend the colors
Apparently, if you say your favourite UA-camr 3 times you might get pinned

I’m so excited to see you try this! I love using acrylic paint and wanted to try gouache and was actually thinking about buying these paints recently. Thank you for trying them out and reviewing them!
ive been really into digital art, but painting has always been a skill i wanted to improve on! so far my favorite paint to use has been acrylic! ive seen these paints before and these always intrigued me, they look so satisfying to use!
I love your openness about not being okay. It really feels like this time a year take it out of alot of people I really hope your able you feel better and are able to get a calmness in your mind
Thank you for the honest review of the gouache. My favourite medium seems to change a lot haha but is currently watercolour; I love the way the paint has a life of its own and you’re never quite sure how your art will turn out.
I love watching you try new things likes this! My favorite is acrylic but I’ve always wanted to try jelly.
Colored pencils and watercolors are my favorite art mediums. I really enjoyed the changes you made to the painting.
Love your content and so excited for your next chapter with Artistic Bear Co.
Recently been making a lot of art using colored pencils and alcohol-based markers. But I love trying new mediums and working some many different ones.
your landscapes always inspire me to try myself and i always learn some beautiful coloring tips from you 💕 i’ve been seeing these jelly gouaches for years and have always wanted to try them and re inspire myself to get back into traditional media, especially w my carpal tunnel sometimes it’s easier to work digitally :,)) but lovely work as always!
I love this! My fav medium is fine liners but I'm trying to get into painting more 🥰
because of art sub boxes, and your review of them, I am currently in love with my Karin deco brush markers
i was so entranced by this piece the entire time i was watching this video. thank you so much for sharing the process with us!
I just got the same jelly gouache set about 2 weeks ago, they're definitely different from the acrylic paint that I'm used to but I like them. The colors really pop on a black canvas!
Great video as always, Chloe. My favourite medium is watercolour but I love trying all sorts of mediums and working with them.
I'm obsessed with this painting omg💖💖💖
such an adorable painting! love the colors!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this! It's beautiful ! My favorite art medium is watercolour and I've been trying to practice regularly :)
I’ve had this jelly gouache set on my Amazon wish list for quite a while now after seeing UA-camrs play with it. Glad to see you enjoying it and having fun! I also struggle with letting paint dry out, so watercolor is my best medium. Gouache is next on my list to try out since it is so similar to watercolor in that it re-wets with water. It was cool to see you using it on a canvas, I’ve only ever seen it on watercolor paper before. Good to know you can use either canvas or paper! Happy painting!
Thanks for this great video! I recently bought the exact same box with 56 colors. I started my art journey with Oil paints, next were Acrylics and recently I was trying watercolors. So now I'm really excited to try the jelly gouache. Therefor your demonstration was absolutely helpful! Aside of it, I really love to watch your videos anyway. It's always great fun to watch you testing art & craft hacks. 🥰
I’ve been so tempted to try them!
Ahh I've been wanting to try these! They've been in my cart for so long!
Normally I use watercolours but I want to try these..
Love seeing these kinds of videos. Your shading is lovely. 🥰
I love the painting sm! My favorite mediums have to be either watercolor or gouache. I can’t decide between the two. They are both amazing for their own reasons.
i dont really have a favorite medium but i love to mix watercolor with acrylics and drawings, i just love how versatile and limitless it can be!
Beautiful painting as always Chloe 🥰
I loved this video! I’ve always wondered about these jelly gouache paints and I’m glad you made a video about it :)
My favourite art medium right now is probably acrylic paint. I’m still a beginner artist and I love how easily accessible acrylics are compared to other mediums. I feel like I can make the stuff I want with acrylics without having to worry about anything.
My favourite medium is Gouache! I've been struggling with my art for many many many years and never felt that anything I created worked.. until I tried Gouache! Such a fantastic and versatile medium. It helped me gain confidence in my art.
Your brushes look/work so nice! Congratulations on how far you've come with your art and supplies, and on how far you're are still going💖 My favorite medium to work with is fibre (wool, viscose, silk etc.) ,I do like the, interesting names that paint has,you checking your teeth to 'yellow teeth' had me cracking up!
I’ve always wondered about these. Thanks for the review!
Acrylic, gouache, graphite are my favourite medium to use and beautiful work as always Chloe.
I'm very intrigued by the jellies and would love to try them. I'm mostly an oil painter, but I love gouache, too. Your brushes look great!
I absolutely love watercolor as a medium but I've really been wanting to try out gouache!
Gouache is by farrrrr my favorite medium. I started with acrylic and then got my hands on some arteza gouache and fell in love. Jelly gouaches seem like they would be some satisfying and fun to use!
Wow, I don't think I've seen one of your videos this early after you've uploaded them ever!!! It's so exciting!
I usually use markers and colored pencils but I also love oil paints! (I'm working on a piece now) this gouache set is amazing and you literally know how to use them sooooo welllllll!! Your painting is amazing and the greens blended together so beautifully!!
Lovely finished piece Chloe!
Loveee the painting Chloe!! It's gorgeous!! I hope to be able to create a beautiful environment like that eventually!! Watercolor has always been a favorite of mine but I love doing all sorts of other mediums. I also hope YOU'RE doing well girl!! I hope you know you are amazing and that you have the well earned love and support of this community you've built
Thanks for filling my day with joy :) my favourite medium is watercolour. I love how the flow of water can change your piece or work and I love watching the colours mix together
