    Thanks for this breakdown. I've been a Kanthal vaper for about 8 years. I want to try TC. This helped me.

    Only thing I can think of is for ti who vapes at those temps anyway you'd be creating your cotton regardless of how well saturated it is even on a dripper

    I used to make coils about 7 years ago. I miss those days.

    I have used titanium wire once. A long time ago I put 2 coils in an aspire rda. I know about the fire risk because I was using a unregulated mod and my tank caught on fire every time I hit it. Needless to say I never used it again.

    I started vaping with titanium and can't complain so far, great performance and lasts forever.
    of course take safety in account, use temp control and never overheat it.

    Hello. What is the best wire to stop, or at least reduce, junking wicks? I got some juice that I really like but it junks up really bad after about 10ml. Is this normal or can I fix it with different wire or cotton? I'm using kanthal alien wire at 2.5mm just now. Thanks.

      Late reply but thats your juice, too much sweetener, my favourite is jam monster and I've had to stop using it, 1 tank and my juice is orange

    Nickel will also release harmful vape over a certain degree. I would have to look that up to see what it is, but have read it someplace. SS 316L has been my go to for over 10 years. Two 28 gauge wrapped in a 36 is my sweet spot. But I vape at low wattage on a Kayfun 5s.

    Does ss coils contain nickel or should i avoid it completely and do kathal since i have nickel allergies

    • @PatrickSwayzeOnDbol
      @PatrickSwayzeOnDbol 2 роки тому

      Stainless steel wire is an alloy composed primarily of chromium, nickel, and carbon. The nickel content is usually between 10-14%, which is not that high, but people with allergies should not take the risk. There are many variations (grades) of stainless steel, expressed numerically. For coil building, SS316L is by far the most commonly used grade, followed by SS317L. Other grades like 304 and 430 are also used sometimes, but not so often.

    I have heard SS shouldn't be dry burned. Is this true?

      I turn the wattage down very low and it works fine, but at higher wattages it will overheat the coil and break it.
