Hahaha, I'm glad you find the videos insightful! I've personally made all of these mistakes so you're not alone. Just keep putting in the reps and let your passion pull you forward toward the next level. Thanks for watching! - Dayday
@@RacquetFlex You could do it with mics as you play so you can vocalise your tactics, say where you made a mistake, or just congratulate the other one on a good shot.
Awesome instruction, very detailed and log enough to cover everything. He knows everything we struggle with in the court. The production is another level, so professional. Made my mind to be a member.
I've been playing tennis for 20 years and I'm a good player. But I've learned SOOOO much from watching your videos. It's like getting to listen in on the training that pros get without paying $100/hr. And yes, I refer everyone who will listen to your channel. From the bottom of my Tennis Heart.....THANK YOU BROTHA !!
Hi guys, I am deeply grateful to you all for your videos. I wish I could meet you in person. You helped me a lot to teach great training to my daughters. They are 11 and 8 years old, and we three just love to watch your videos and listen to your advices. Greeting from a Spanish family living in Istanbul, Turkey.
This is one of my very favorite of your videos, and I have been following you from jump street. Love the emphasis on preparation and footwork before the swing!
My favourite videos about tennis. These guys are just super positive and clear in their instructions. I will never play like them, but I definitely enjoy imagining myself playing the way they do
Yes, that's me at 2:14. Happened in two 3rd set tiebreakers this week. I will definitely practice this. Maybe with a reflex ball too. I got a video suggestion, fixing a service glitch a very common problem. I've had lessons with many pros & none have been able to correct it. I could post a video.
Love this bc I always run up thinking imma win the point always to just hit it out haha 😆 now I’m knowing the footwork pattern can’t wait to get back out there
Volleys or backhand slice, especially new vs. old style. Return of serve (beyond strokes): wide serves, body serves, where to stand, when to land (pro vs. amateur), first move, recovery, etc.
0:23 Damn you've really nailed the Federer serve! I lost a league match yesterday overshooting short balls, shame I didn't catch this but defo my new homework.
You guys have helped me up my game immensely. Thanks for the great content as always. I like the fact you mentioned that the intentions shouldn’t be to hit a winner. Instead it’s to pressure your opponent and finish with a volley if possible. This was great advice as I would always try hitting with a ton of power towards the line and missing.
Just 👍 & SUBSCRIBED 🤗. You make tennis fun, very inspiring, makes me want to improve by implementing all that you’re teaching. Thanks! Wish i could have you drill me in person.
hi, great video as always. I got a question again. so all the demos in the video is hitting on the rise. sometimes the incoming ball is loopy or short, so I can't move up in time to catch it on the rise. instead I have to hit it when it is coming down from the peak, but could still be shoulder high. so is there any difference in technique between hitting on the rise and hitting on the descend? i always feel hitting the descend is more difficult to create power and therefore my technique tends to fall apart. any tips for this? thanks again.
Hi, I’m ntrp 3.5 player and I noticed when I play the approach shots, I usually use my right foot to hop like you show @8:28 and @8:35 instead of using left foot like you do. Is there a difference in these two hopping steps and/or which situation you use a particular one than the other?
It seems like lots of you splendid online instructors make videos on putting away high short balls . but mainly from the forehand side. Even this amazing bit of work, though backhand prep is mentioned, kind of abandons that wing partway through. Would love to see a video on this subject that focuses on putting away those short/high/crazy-making one and two-handed backhand short ball ass-whuppin'!
Your videos are the synthesis of fantastic instruction and analysis while being highly entertaining. Your love for tennis and teaching shines like sunlight. Thank you! 🤘🙂
Great video - I noticed that you were using left hand and right hand forehands (no backhands) in the clips at the beginning of the video. Are you naturally ambidextrous (able to use both hands equally well) or did you train your non-dominant hand (and if so, would you recommend others to do the same)?
I approach a high ball with a standard semi-western circular up-swing. With the Contact Point on the lower 1/3rd of the strings, then finish with a Carioca-hop. The ball has high top spin, and it kicks up high, forcing the opponent to hit with a weak return, or missing the shot completely.
If you practice this content properly, you can definitely raise the level of your tennis. Keep it up guys, you're doing great.
No! He is talking about me!🤣🤣🤣
Love this guy , every mistake he mentions is what I’m doing on the courts. Feel just like he talks about me😭

Don't feel bad. I have to watch this video too.😄
Hands-down the highest quality tennis instruction on UA-cam.
I am just so grateful that the video instructions of this level are on UA-cam for free. Best tennis channel out on the internet, by far!! 😄😁
Thanks Jake!!
Y'all should play a match against each other and put it on the channel. Do commentary on the match while watching it with us
That's a great idea and sounds like a lot of fun! Will definitely add it to our list.
