@@PeterMatthess It's not splitting hairs. You're making an apples to oranges comparison, making out that iniBuilds are doing stellar work and just giving it away. They are not. They are being paid just like Aerosoft. But the money is coming from the huge amount of sales from the base sim. If you buy FS2024, you are not getting the plane for free. A small portion of the cost of your base sim is paying for the plane. If your main point is about dev time, then that's fair enough, but also you have to remember that iniBuilds have 100s of employees. I don't think the Aerosoft team is anything like as large. As for quality.....well that is another matter. The Aerosoft version is seriously lacking and it should have never been released in that state.
@@mdhazeldine It most definitely is almost free if you take into consideration of what the whole sim would cost to make including all the other planes, nav data, satellite data, etc. Also compare that to let's say ini 310 for x-plane which is like 90 € compared to this sim only being 80 € for standard edition and going as low as 1 € a month for game pass.
@@mdhazeldine Ok fair points. I meant for the end user like us its as if its *free. Because if you think, for the aerosoft A330 you have to buy MSFS, AND THEN go and buy their A330. ini A330: From a technical point of view, it is very interesting that the fan on the engine does not rotate, but something behind it and the turbine from behind does. Technically speaking, the fan must also rotate with the turbine, as both components sit on one shaft.
12 days before? @@bagels377 There should only be polishing. Not technical problems. I'm tired of people saying "it's still in development" as an excuse. It was fine 2mo ago, not 12 days prior release.
This is not correct. What you see rotating behind is the N1 section of the engine which is the high pressure compressor. The large intake fan is part of the N2 and they are not on the same shaft. The power turbine and the intake fan should be rotate together but the gas producer rotates with the high pressure compressor. However, it is odd that the intake fan wasn't rotating since that is usually the part the rotates in the wind not the high pressure compressor.

Love to see more flying boats. However, I wonder how many water landing strips there will be in-game. Some around my area (Gulf Coast Texas) aren't in msfs2020.
I would imagine they have improved on those as well as they have included every helipad and glider airfield of the world. Although, there hasn't been any actual info on that.
This is all great stuff. One question though: Why have you got iniBuilds to do all the work to make an A321LR (which is basically a A321neo with extra fuel tanks), but then we don't get just a standard A321neo? As of 2024, the standard A321neo has 4079 orders, and the A321LR has only 69 (according to Wikipedia). How hard would it be to also include the standard version? I imagine the dev work required would be minimal (you're just removing the fuel tanks and tweaking the CG and fuel systems a bit), but the benefit to players would be massive, no?
Probably has to do with airbus contract also. They might want their new planes released on the new sim. As the a321 was never really as hyped as the a330 for this sim. That would be my best guess.
If it's an A321neo with just extra fuel tanks, why not use the LR to simulate A321neo flights? Not trying to talk them out of it. But considering we had enough imagination to fly the B77L for the B772 back in the P3D days or even now the Fenix A321 CFM sharkies for A321neo's I am sure we can find a way to have enough imagination to use an A321LR to fly A321neo flights without "bending" reality too much considering its only fuel tanks. I mean its easier to use an LR for a regular A21N than the other way around 😏
can we have a good discussion from Microsoft/Asobo about water physics? This I believe is the first time we've seen a water landing in MSFS2024 am I right? I remember in a recent dev blog the team said they simply tied the wave physics to the actual graphical waves on screen. But It looks like there is also a certain amount of 'dampening' where the airframe is moving more fluidly in the water. Also the spray looks much better than in MSFS2024. But primarily its the physics of the floatplanes/seaplanes I'm interested in. How is 'on the step' and 'off the step' feeling in 2024?
yeah, still waiting to see how float planes with relatively short bodies will work, like the twin otter. That thing is bad to takeoff and land on the current sim as it bounces and hits the ground.
the only thing that is holding me back on this is the fact i wanna know if the hug freeze lag we get when trying to land most of all when u almost on the ground dont happen in 2024 edition as that was the main thing that made me stop playing 2020
It has nothing to do with competition, they just have the same rules for everyone so it's fair. Although, I would probably give access for the most recognized developers. Fenix also uses external program which might be a limiting factor.
They promised that marketplace addons will work in the new sim, not that every addon out there works. So of course they give the marketplace addon makers access to be able to keep their word. The SDK documentation is available though, so they can already see what they will need to do to make their addon work.
That's what I don't understand. They as if Asobo is throwing the hardcore aspect of the simulator aside to cater to the more casual player with the carreer and missions. Clearly they are doing both. I hate this gatekeeping bs.
I see the walk-around mode is not as if someone is walking. It's a drone camera again on human height and you can still go through aircraft fuselage with your head.
It has a body, steps (you can see the head bob up and down slightly with steps), and you can interact with your aircraft, drone camera doesn’t allow that.
It's not a drone camera, you have a body and you can see it yourself. You can crouch down and if you crouch down you can see your crouching body. You can hear your steps when you walk, and it even has a head bobbing effect.
the spot view is so arcade like.. I HATE Asobo's choice to go against every MSFS release prior to them. Bottom 1/3 of the screen... such a terrible choice. NO OTHER SIM does this.
This game is not a flight simulator, it is an incompetence simulator and a loading simulator. 🤣 Too bad that a good and reputable company like iniBuilds got involved in this kind of mess.
Everyone at Aerosoft stopped watching after 19.00 mins.

if anything, i prefer having a longer range version over the standard A321N, it won't make a difference besides range, and allowing more use cases.
Will the cabins be on Xbox as well?
They answered this on this stream...
@ yeah but I’m not watching allat so
Would love to see the iniBuilds progress on the study level 220.
inibuilds isn't the primary dev on the A220, they're just helping.
i wish it could relese tomorow but 11 left acording to xbox
can we have a good discussion from Microsoft/Asobo about water physics?
Some people recorded water landing footage at the Grand Canyon event.
Why does the sound stutter (at 48:20) on approach A350
Stream.
Does Microsoft have both 2020 and 2024 on servers outside the USA? If so can we choose these. Laurie NZ 😊
yes, click on your user name on the top right of the main menu in 2020.
4 hours I've been trying to install this thing blocking on customize your character
I have a 2GB fiber connection, a shame to see that
No Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines?
No, simple reason: only 2 around 20% of the worldwide fleet of 330 ceo‘s are equipped with the pw engines and they couldn‘t get the data for it.
the only thing that is holding me back on this is the fact i wanna know if the hug freeze lag we get when trying to land most of all when u almost on the ground dont happen in 2024 edition as that was the main thing that made me stop playing 2020
Now you can see why they didn’t give Fenix early access to the MSFS 2024 👀
It's simple really, they're not in the marketplace, they don't get the dev alpha.
Yeah I am sure MS would be very worried about "free" default aircraft in the standard version not selling well 😅
I do hope all 178 versions of Captain Sim aircrafts will work in MSFS2024, they are in the marketplace ;)
I wonder when the first fan-built ingress animation mods will come out...
a330 fuel panel missing the middle tank switch?
not on the A330-300, only on the 200
few more days!
MSFS 2024!!
what aboute 737 max liverys ?
Oof kinda hyped for the A330
🖤🤍
Me too :)
I'd also like to see the face of the lovely lady presenting.
A400M😍😍😍
Are these also coming for MSFS or just MSFS2024?
just MSFS2024
You are not getting Forza Horizon 5 cars in Forza Horizon 4 either for example. Works like any other game. Same with X-plane
@@tompsu9536 Yeah i guess i knew that, just wanted to make sure.
Just msfs2024
Jorg said some aircraft would be back ported to 2020, but they haven't said which or when.

I think so

Can you do the 747 I wanna see what’ll be different
Not too different, it’s just upgraded with the new physics and a few other things.
@@EmeryE2it is a -400, and they said that they even worked with Boeing to get all the details right

Esse 2024 sei não em, se no PC dele esta travando imagine no meu kkkk
❤
And critics claim microsoft makes the new sim gamey :)
That's what I don't understand. They as if Asobo is throwing the hardcore aspect of the simulator aside to cater to the more casual player with the carreer and missions. Clearly they are doing both. I hate this gatekeeping bs.
Add olafurws yellow box as a place 😜😜😜
I see the walk-around mode is not as if someone is walking. It's a drone camera again on human height and you can still go through aircraft fuselage with your head.
walk-around mode has a body
It has a body, steps (you can see the head bob up and down slightly with steps), and you can interact with your aircraft, drone camera doesn’t allow that.
It's not a drone camera, you have a body and you can see it yourself. You can crouch down and if you crouch down you can see your crouching body. You can hear your steps when you walk, and it even has a head bobbing effect.
1:08:21 nice terrain lol. Good job trying to hide it.
they're not hiding anything, they're focusing on the instruments.
They would’ve hid it better if they were trying to hide it.
the spot view is so arcade like.. I HATE Asobo's choice to go against every MSFS release prior to them. Bottom 1/3 of the screen... such a terrible choice. NO OTHER SIM does this.

No, you are not getting Forza Horizon 5 cars in Forza Horizon 4 either for example. Works like any other game. Same with X-plane
Why?
@@tompsu9536 Jorg said in one of the recent Q&As that they will be backporting some aircraft.

where is aerosoft to see the a330 ? hhhhhhhhh
still on aerosoft. time to move on. only whiners and the uninformed are still on aerosoft. we choose to focus on what we saw here
2 weeks to GO!
This game is not a flight simulator, it is an incompetence simulator and a loading simulator. 🤣 Too bad that a good and reputable company like iniBuilds got involved in this kind of mess.
Jorg you should resign
