A very Happy New Year John and family, unfortunately had the dreaded lurgy over the festive period, but feeling little better now. I'm still waiting for my Batmobile66 parts as they took out a double payment, which gave my bank manager the sweats 😅 So hopefully will get it soon. Take care John 🙏😊
Thanks, Phil. It's good to know you are feeling better. My 66 has just been paid again, so we are in the same financial boat, Fanhome need to up their game. Thanks for the donation it's a lovely surprise. Take care and have a properous New Year. 👍😊
Hi John. Just a quick update on the rear guns. I sent pictures to Hachette, as they requested. I got an e-mail from them this morning, apologising for the lack of holes in the guns & they're sending me another issue 47. Let's hope the holes are there, lol!
Have a great xmas John, great vid as always, likewise I was having issues with the rear gun turret assembly, lost one of those tiny parts pinging off out of my tweezers into outer space, had to put it down for a while. At least I now know which lugs to hit with my rasp thanks to you. Happy Christmas.
Nice video John. I also noticed there were no holes in my guns? I have messaged Hachette for replacement guns and new ammo chutes as mine are much shorter than yours.
Hi John. Regarding the rear guns. I've been in touch with Hachette, as I'm sure you have. Anyway, they sent me another issue 46 & the guns were exactly the same, i.e. no holes! Today, they asked me to send pictures of the guns & also the instruction (03) that mentions the holes. I have done that & await their reply. Looking very closely at the guns (under a magnifying loupe) it looks like the 'holes' may be full of paint. We'll see.
@@JohnsModelmaking There's definitely something wrong then eh? I'm putting my money on the holes being there, but full of paint. As I've got a spare set, I might try & open the 'holes' up.
Hi john I'm still on issue 39 to 42 of hachette lancasterbomber. I'm having problems with engines were by I've got the testing kit from section 39 to test the motors after engines been put together ! The propellers are nice and free but will not spin when testing kit is added but the undergear is working up and down ! I've tried different batteries but nothing apart motors slight kicking !! Do I need to strip the engines down again or are the motors power full anoth . I'll be interesting in your thoughts.
I had similar issues with the engines and explained it all in my videos. The motors are powerful enough, but the shaft needs to be completely free of any interference.👍
Installing the turret onto the accommodation ring was the only challenge this month. The rest, as you say, went in quite easily. Merry Christmas, Steve 🎅
@@JohnsModelmaking I must say, the turret fitted ok for me. The pegs were tight, but clicked home nicely. Apparently, we're back to engine building in the next issues, lol!
MERRY CHRITMAS JHON FROM MICHIGAN IN THE U.S.A .
Merry Christmas 🎅
Hi John, I've been watching you build the rear turret. My late father was a rear gunner with 617 squadron.
Oh wow, a man to be proud of. Merry Christmas.:)
Happy Christmas John 👍👍👍
Thanks, all the best! 😀

Yes indeed, 'the seat belt anchors' were very fiddly, lol! Everything in these issues went together very easily. There must be something wrong! Lol!
