Great Job on the Video/Information, best 1 out there, have my interest in this for sure...bought the Hoverfly in July (which I Love) and want another e-bike, why?, just because!
I have two questions, is it a thumb throttle or hand? Also when you start using the throttle is it very sensitive(meaning the motor starts right away) or does it take a second to turn on
@@mikerochester Both Qlife and ActBest are linked business I contacted their number and confirmed this. Basically either bike brand will perform the same.
I have watched this bike on Amazon but there have been some that had issues with bad welding such as the fork getting welded backwards. I'm sure that's a fluke on some but based off the bike seeing it in action and close up it looks to be a solid bike.
While you can ride this off-road one thing to note is the rims and the fork are carbon steel. Just be careful not to go overboard or accidents can happen. I am really impressed with the acceleration on this bike but if you truly want to commute for distance you'll have to factor in weight and PAS mode setting to maximize your battery. I figure about 20 miles tops with PAS and 10 to 12 throttle if you are around 220 to 230 weight.
@@mrgreen2769 The one I have didn't have any issues like that. I don't even know how you could weld the fork on backwards...lol. Often times they spin the fork around the opposite direction for shipping I suppose maybe someone can get confused not sure.
Just a note, ActBest and Qlife are the same manufacturers. It's interesting how they rip consumers off over a different bike color. The vibrant colors like orange, red and white sell $30.00 more and the ridiculous price they tack on just to add two plastic fenders and a rack. I'm sure these bikes are nice budget ebikes but they're going to squeeze out every dime they can out of you for slight cosmetic changes. The frame does look solid and also light enough should you just want to ride the bike without e assistance. Most people confuse the actual range on these ebikes and don't take this into consideration that they add that to your average riding without e power. I can easily put 10 to 15 miles a day on my regular mountain bike but if done right you can extend that distance via pedal assist.
@mikerochester I think they manufacture these bikes in different locations. Likely someone smoking weed got ahold of those few bike when it was welded together. Kinda nuts it made it past quality assurance inspections.
Thanks for sharing their many e-bikes out there to actually ride them and get a feel for it It's really tough to tell which ones are best. Believe there's a Qlife on there for just over $200 as well but you also have to consider if it's an upgraded bike or free shipping.
@@VirtualPlayer0187 Yeah e-bikes are pretty expensive to ship. I noticed Amazon has $200 shipping often for them. And the ones are free shipping I normally see an additional $200 markup.
@@mikerochester your audience isn't only american brother. In much of Europe these types of units are capped, prior to sale, to 25kmh/15mph to be considered legal without any form of insurance/licence. The same with the electric scooters
@mikerochester Well I really wanted the 1000 watt orange color but sold out the night I purchased and had to settle with black I'm sure they'll get more. Qlife website actually lists this bike over $600.00 so yeah you are getting a good deal off Amazon.

Excellent presentation on all the features of this ebike and its quality. I love the way you've presented filming of the rider. Puts you right there.

I show both in the video the thumb throttle is on the right hand side and I do a 20 MPH throttle only test showing you acceleration.

Not much difference in the ActBest bikes.
